TheBishopscalledthestrike "ascandaltomanyandasorrowtoall."Theysaid"that notallmeanshadbeenexhaustedforajustsettlementof thedispute"beforethestrike wascalled.
Thestrikeinvolvesworkmenn attheuniversitywhoaredemandingincreasedwagesand thereinstatementoftwounion memberswho,theybelieve, weredismissedbecauseoflegitimateunionactivities.
