ThereAbbotDomOdule Sylvain,wearinghismitre andholdinghiscross,surroundedbyallmembersof thecommunity,receivedthe Governor-Generalandhis party. Sincetoday'spriests,especiallythosewhohave thecareofsouls,areburdeneddailybyvariousand newdutiesoftheapostolateinsuchawaythatthey canhardlyattendtotherecitationoftheDivine Officewiththepropertranquillityofmind,some localOrdinarieshaveearnestlypetitionedtheHoly Seegraciouslytoprovidefortheremovalofsuch difficultyandatleasttoreducethegreatcomplexity oftherubricstoasimplerform.
