ThecampaignwasoriginizedbytheSonsofCharity CongregationwiththecooperationofBishopJoseph HeintzofMetz.
Some200younglaymen andlaywomenfromallparts ofthecountry-students, seminarians,nurses,farmers andworkers-answeredthe requestoftheSonsofCharityforassistance,givingup theirvacationstotakepart inthemission.
