Twoboys,membersofa LegionofMaryjuniorpraesidiuminthisState,gave proofoftheirtrainingwhen attendingaC.M.F.Cadet Militarycamp.Theygatheredtogetherothercadetsin thecampandorganisedtwo Rosarygroups.Onegroup said50Rosaries;theother 49Rosaries.
Thentherewasthecase reportedbyaformerparish priestofNorseman.Hewas impressedbyayoungminer whoregularlysaidadecade oftheRosarywhenhefinishedhismiddaycrib.He saidheformedthehabit yearsbeforewhenhehad beenajuniorlegionaryin Kalgoorlie.

Perhapsthemostsatisfyingworkthatlegionaries aredoinginPerthistheapproachtothosenotofthe Faith.Onegroup,under thedirectionoftheRev.J. Depiazzi,isengagedexclusivelyonthatwork.The workhastwoaspects:firstly,thefindingofpeoplewho arewillingandsometimes eagertotakethestepstowardsembracingCatholicism,and,secondly,thearrangingfortheirinstruction andencouragement.Many Catholics,notlegionaries, couldshareinthisbyspeakingwith non-Catholic friendsabouttheFaithand mentioningtheirnamesto FatherDepiazzioranylegionarytheyknow.
Itisnowovertwoyears sincethefirstcourseofinstructionbegan.Thepeoplewhoattendedthenhave nowaknowledgeofCatholicismtheyhadnotbefore.
Misunderstandingsandprejudiceshavebeenremoved, andtherehasbeenthe crowninggloryofseeing38 ofthesepeoplebecomeCatholics.Sixmoreareat presentpreparingforreception,andanother15are attendingthelecturesfor non-CatholicseachThursdayeveningintheCentral Catholiclibrary,Pierstreet.
