In1886,shewasmarried atBusseltonbythelate MonsignorBurketoThomas LittleHastie,eldestsonof thewell-knowncontractor, CharlesLittleHastie(some ofwhoseworkstillstands to-dayintheBunburyand Busseltonareas).
Aftertheirmarriage,Mr. andMrs.Hastiesettledin Bunbury,wheretheirfamilyofsixdaughtersand threesonswereallborn. Exceptforthedeathofone sonininfancy,thefamily circleremainedunbroken untileightyearsago,when bothMr.Hastieandoneof thedaughters(Mrs.Mary Yardley)diedwithinthe shortspaceofthreemonths.
Ayearorsolater,another daughter,Mrs.J.O'Donnell, diedinSydney.Mrs.Hastie wasalsograndmotherof20 andthegreat-grandmother of30.
