"Iamaregularlistenerto yoursession, andhavecometo theconclusionthatyouthink thattheRomanCatholic Churchistheonlyonethatis tobefollowed."

Youcontinue:

"1thinkthattheCatholic Churchiswrongbecauseithas changedthetencommandments,andhaschangedthe SabbathDayfromSaturdayto Sunday."

A.:TheCatholicChurchhas notchangedthetencommandments.Onthecontrary,it standsoutintheworldfearlesslyandconstantlyagainstthose whohavechangedthecommandments.Asyoucanseeinthe Gospels,ChristsentHisChurch toteachmen,inHisnameand withHisauthority,allthethings whichHetaughtandcommanded.HepromisedthatHewould bewithHisChurchinthiswork, andthatHewouldpreventit frommakinganymistakesin thisteaching.SothatHis Churchisthedivinelyappointed interpreterofthetencommandments.Theprincipleofprivate interpretationofthemeaningof Christ'steachingwasintroduced atthetimeoftheReformation.

Asaresult,anyonecantakeup forexample,God'scommandmentsaboutmarriage,andget fromthemwhateverhappensto suithim.Hence,divorce,birth preventionandotherpagan abuseshavecomeuponus.

Withregardtothechangingof theSabbathDayfromSaturday toSunday,IhavealreadypointedoutthatjustasChristOur Lordhadtheauthoritytochange awholenumberofritualobservanceswhichGodhadcommanded theJewsintheOldTestament, soHeandHisApostleshadthe authoritytochange, anddid change, theSabbathDayfrom SaturdaytoSunday.

Obviously, ifyoudonotbelievethatChristisGod,andif youdonotbelievethatHe foundedaChurch, thenyouwill neverallowthatHeandHis Churchhadtherighttochange somanyoftheritualobservances oftheJews, ortochangethe dayofworshipfromSaturdayto Minday.Youmusttakeupyour GospelsandstudytheDivinityof Christ, andthefoundingofa Church.Thenyouwillhaveno troubleinseeingthatHeandHis Churchhadtherighttomake thechangeswhichtheyhave made.

"OneoftheLeast,"Albany, writes: "Tomymind,itissomewhat astoundingthatanyoneshould believethattheBodyofJesus Christ,theSonofGod,should bemadebypriests."

A.:Yourdifficultyisthatyou donotunderstandtheteaching ofOurDivineLord,asgivenin tieGospels.They,ofcourse,do notmaketheBodyofOurDivine Lord. 1shallexplaintoyou whatOurLordtaughtanddid HimselfintheGospels,andwhat HetoldHisprieststodo,in memoryofHim.
