Thebride,givenawaybyherfather, wasgownedinlong-waistedmodel'of magnoliasatin,heavilyworkedon bodiceandtrain,finishedwithHoniton lace,veil,andhalooforangeblossom. Shecarriedamotherofpearlrosary andmissal,andasheafofrosesand tuberroses.

Thismorningwearegatheredhere tobarewitnessoncemoretothefact thatthewordsofmytextarenot beingwhisperedbytheHolyGhost intodeafears.Weareheretosee yetanotherwomanwhothinksnothing
ofworldlyfavour,whomakesnothing ofnaturalaccomplishments,andwhose onlyambitionistobecomeworthyof beingpraisedbyGod.Thesimple butsignificantceremonytobeperformedbeforeoureyesinatewmoments'time,betraysasoulwhomthe fearoftheLordpossesses. Isaid "fear,"butImeant,ofcourse,that fearwhichispartandparceloftrue love;thatfearwhichimpelsasoulto flyfromthedangersandoccasionsof offendingGod,soplentifulinthe world,andtotakerefugeinthesafe shelterofareligioushouse.
