Thesefactsmaybelefttospeakfor theniselvesandwemaynowtakea necessarilyrapidglanceatsomeof theassociationsofthehistoricsite atCollegeGreen,whichtowardsthe endofthesi'teenthcentsrywasa largegaeleninthepossessionof;Air GeorgeCarew,PresidentofMunster andLordHighTreasurerofIreland. ChichesterHousenextcameinto theposses-ionofSirJohnBorlase, ehenhewasaPlaiintedMasterGeneralofOrdnancefir.Irelandin1613; andit,waswithinitswalls,iniris cliPncityasLordJusticeinConjunc- tionwithSirWilliamParsus,another"ableadministrator,"thatLe receivedinformationfromthedrunkenpervert,Olkeno'connolly on the22ndOctober,1641,whichled tothearrestofSirHughMacMahon,LordMaguire,andotherleadersinthegreatmovemertorganised bythegallantRoger,or,asheis betterknown,"Fiery"o'Moore.who butforthewarringconveyedtothe GovernmentauthoritiesinIrelandby theaforesaid()'Connollywouldin allprobateilityhavecarriedhiswellorganisedplantoasuccessfulissile.
