VATICAN CITY (NC). — Vatican Radio has maintained that some governments should act birth rates, while respecting parental rights and the moral and religious convictions reduce to of citizens. The broadcast said: "The rhythm of population growth in various regions of the world is so fast that it makes many grave problems practically insoluble. "Even where there is enough land and resources to support the majority of the present population. it is sometimes impossible to reto adequately spond growing demands for education and employment. "In such cases, a reduction in the rate of populati®n growth is a real necessity for the common good."

But it warned: "They must do so within the framework of a policy geared toward the truly integral good of all citizens in justice, without harming the rights and dinnity of parents and without insisting on the use of means contrary to the morality and the moral and religious convictions of citizens".
