My dear Girls and Boys, Do you realise, as I have just done, that less than half of 1973 is left? Let us try to make use of the months which remain to serve God with our whole hearts, filled with joy because we are His children. On July 16, we celebrate a great Feast — that of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. This day reminds us of the occasion when Our Lady first presented her brown Scapular of Mt. Carmel. An old story tells us that these two pieces of brown cloth, joined by strings and worn over the shoulders were first shown to St. Simon Stock, a holy Carmelite.
