Sister Heather Weedon, Franciscan Missionary of Mary, ( pictured at left with Bishop Quinn) made the final profession of her religious commitments before Bishop Quinn last Sunday at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, East Victoria Park. She came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weedon (pictured with her below), ' from Victoria in 1963 and the family settled in Somerset Street, East Victoria Park. Sister Heather entered the Franciscan Missionary Sisters from W.A. and trained at Mittagong. After a year of theology at Xavier institute, Sydney she did her gen oral nursing training at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. Next year she will do her midwifery training at St. John of God Hospital, Subiaco. Her future work is likely to be with the Sisters hospitals in New Guinea. Sister Heather is the seventh to enter the Order from W.A. since they arrived in 1963 to commence the retreat house at Victoria Park.

Bishop John J. Fitzpatrick of Brownsville said that four priests, three Sisters and a lay woman would travel with the migrant families to Wyoming, Wash in g t on, North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio while ministering to their spiritual, physical and social needs. NEW YORK (NC). — Ninety-two per cent of the respondents to a recent survey taken by "Our Sunday Visitor," a national Catholic weekly, oppose changing the text of the Our Father. The changes were proposed by the International Consultation on English Texts, an ecumenical advisory group of liturgical experts, in an effort to make the Our Father more meaningful to Christians. Of the 2,613 people who responded by sending in the ballots printed in "Our SunVisitor", only 210 favoured the proposed changes.
