Polaris base exorcised
GLASGOW (NC).-- A Catholic priest, in a service of exorcism and purging, sprinkled holy water on the gates of the big Polaris missile submarine base at Faslane.
The priest, Monsignor Bruce Kent, former chaplain at London University and now national chaplain of Pax Christi, the international Catholic peace movement, explained that the service was held to demonstrate that the policy of nuclear armaments is evil and threatens mankind with mass murder.

Glasgow, of Kent reminded Catholics who might disapprove of what the marchers were doing of what the bishops and the Pope had said at the Second Vatican Council: "Any act of war aimed indiscriminately at the destruction of entire cities or of extensive areas, along with their population is a crime against God and man himself.
