The United Bible Societies have received from the Rumanian Orthodox Church in Communist Russia a request for paper for the production of 100,000 Bibles. The paper will be sent in the next few weeks. Mr. Tony Mapson, the
new president, had been vice-president of the association for the past two years and is currently president of the St. Denis Club, Joondanna. Mr. Mapson was educated by the Christian Brothers at Castledare, -Clontarf and Tardun and is at present a warrant office in the Royal Australian Air Force. It has been during his time in the R.A.A.F. that he has developed his
strong interest in tennis.
During the i,erni of his presidency he hopes to
revitalise areas of Catholic tennis in W.A. which, he says, have been an unfortunate decline in some
parishes.
