The Federal injection of $27.6 million into the finances of Catholic schools in 1972, for recurrent costs, all of it heavily committed, still left revenue as a real problem.

The success of the evening rested entirely with the clubs and it was hop ed that they would respond to the gesture in the spirit in which it is intended.
