ProductionandActing.

Theplaywasproducedby JamesA.Quinnwithplentyof imaginationandenterprise.The mountingshowedmeticulousattentiontodetailwithinthelimits imposedbytheAssemblystage. Thedecor,effectsandlighting werewellhandled.

Theactingreachedagenerallyhighlevel,revealingonceagain theassiduousattentionofthe producertobalanceandsmooth integrationoftheactionofthe play.

Individually,theplayersdid notturnonanythingstartingly good,thoughallseemedtobe fluentwiththeirlinesandseveralwerequitepleasinglycompetent.Mostmemorablewere theperformancesofFrieda (MaureenO'Sullivan)andyoung TonyDawson(MasterRoger Knipers).BrinLane'squiet portrayaloftheRev.Francis Munroealsocaughttheeye. Characterisationbrokedown ratherbadlyinoneinstance.The playersnotsofarnamedwere MaureenChild,PatriciaHalligan,JillnaHiggins,PeterStokes, GordonGregsonandBruceMcCreery. -DEGUSTIBUS.
