Arcadia Contemporary is proud to present “Guardians and Exiles,” a solo exhibition by Jesse Stern, on view from September 25 to October 9, 2025. This debut exhibition features 16 new oil paintings and drawings, each showcasing Stern’s intense and challenging imagery that explores human vulnerability, isolation, and stronger impulses.
Born in 1976 and raised in Cambridge, MA, Stern studied at the New York Academy of Art and is now revered as an exceptionally skilled draftsman known for his meticulously rendered works that balance precision with psychological weight. Years later, Stern has returned to the New York cademy of Art, this time as a professor of painting and drawing in the continuing studies program.
The exhibition opens with a reception on Thursday, September 25, from 5–7 pm, with the artist in attendance.
