MARK R. PUGH
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mark R. Pugh combines technical realism with surreal and narrative-driven elements to create psychologically charged paintings rooted in storytelling. Drawing inspiration from spirituality, mythology, and human behavior, his works balance refined craftsmanship with symbolic imagery that invites deeper interpretation. Though trained in academic realism, Pugh’s paintings often move beyond direct observation into imaginative and emotionally resonant territory. PATRICK KRAMER
Born in 1981 in Kaysville, Utah, Patrick Kramer creates paintings that explore tension, impermanence, and the fragile nature of beauty. Drawing from art history, Kramer frequently reinterprets and deconstructs iconic imagery through acts of scraping, cracking, burning, and fragmentation, transforming familiar masterpieces into psychologically charged compositions that balance refinement with destruction. Rooted in themes of memento mori, his works examine the inevitability of decay while revealing unexpected beauty within disorder. Kramer received his BFA from Brigham Young University in 2008 and has been featured in American Art Collector, Artists & Illustrators, and Southwest Art.
