Evolving ancient Etruscan techniques, our Terracotta Handmade Tiles blend tradition with modernity, offering unique design possibilities. At the core is terracotta, a material rich in history and warmth, shaped through generations of craftsmanship. From selecting lime and sand to molding clay by hand, every step reflects the dedication of our artisans.
Fired in wood ovens at over 1000ºC, the tiles gain a spectrum of colors—from soft yellows to deep reds—shaped by natural oxides and proximity to the flames. Each piece can be semi-polished for smoothness, with every detail preserved through careful sanding.
With over 1,200 customizable finishes, our tiles merge timeless tradition with sustainable innovation, using solar energy and natural materials. Durable and versatile, they age beautifully in both indoor and outdoor spaces, embodying enduring craftsmanship and the timeless charm of terracotta.

This collection celebrates color and craftsmanship with blends of oxides, crystalline elements, and glazes, resulting in striking, non-uniform finishes. Highlights include Tinte Unite with natural finishes and Tinte Madreperla, a third-firing technique producing matte or glossy effects, often enhanced with luster or gold. The Medioevo series revives Middle Ages glazing techniques, showcasing matte, distressed tones and decorative elements inspired by frescoes.
Reviving an ancient Mesopotamian technique refined during the Renaissance, this collection incorporates 30% gold and ruby during a third firing, creating truly exquisite tiles. Each bespoke piece is sold individually, emphasizing its intricate craftsmanship and unique character.

The collection revives an ancient Mesopotamian technique, rediscovered by Paolo Rubboli in the 17th century, which regained prominence among Renaissance artists. The process layers gold and ruby during a third firing, creating a mysterious ceramic tradition. Each of our pieces are crafted with 30% gold and ruby, incorporated during the final firing. Unlike standard tiles sold by square meter, Lustro Antico Rubboli 1873 tiles are bespoke and sold individually for their exquisite craftsmanship.
Each of our pieces in the Terracota Handmade Tiles Collection are crafted with 30% gold and ruby, incorporated during the final firing.
