We are thrilled to present NUDO, our second collaboration with visionary designer Kelly Wearstler. This collection represents a deeper exploration of the shared ethos between ARCA and Kelly, rooted in timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship, and the continual pursuit of pushing boundaries in both material and form. Building on our initial partnership, we’ve expanded our vision to craft pieces that honors the beauty of nature while embracing contemporary sensibilities.
Working with Kelly on NUDO has been a natural, rewarding extension of our first launch, with each piece capturing her signature style —bold, refined, sculptural, and harmonious. The resulting furniture is playful, unique, organic, and a perfect example of natural stone’s limitless creative possibilities. At ARCA, we consider these creative alliances as unique opportunities to redefine design, celebrating artistry, craftsmanship, and materiality while transforming and elevating spaces.

KELLY WEARSTLER
KELLY WEARSTLER STUDIO
Kelly Wearstler is a designer and founder of an eponymous Los Angeles-based studio that works across architecture, design, curation, and creative direction. Since she began her practice in 1995, the multihyphenate has designed eclectic, craft-forward, and context-driven residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality interiors; engaged in innovative, cross-disciplinary collaborations and brand partnerships; and commissioned the talents who become design’s rising stars through her online Gallery. Always on the cutting-edge, she is currently exploring the design potential of Artificial Intelligence, having integrated it into early project stages since late 2023, and adopting sustainable, eco-friendly practices to ensure the design industry’s positive impact. Having made a career pushing its bounds, she has been honored on the AD100 Hall of Fame, Elle Decor A-List, Wallpaper’s Top 20 Designers, and Time Magazine’s The Design 100, among others, and was one of the first interior designers to host a MasterClass. Wearstler is the author of six design books and a columnist for Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands.
In the Kelly Wearstler x ARCA Nudo collection, the artistry lies in the marriage of traditional craft with cutting-edge technology. Each piece begins as a monolithic block of stone, meticulously selected for its rich veining and natural beauty. The process unfolds with 3D-rendered designs, allowing for precise visualization before the stone meets the artisan’s hand. ARCA’s craftsmen, steeped in the heritage of stone carving, then meticulously shape each form, employing a distinctive weaving technique that brings an unexpected fluidity to the material.
For the first presentation, the blocks from which the shapes were carved were sourced globally, including materials like Verde Tikal, Pink Marble, White Beauty, Calcite Blue, Rainbow Onyx, and Rosso Verona from Asia, as well as Fior di Bosco, Rojo Alicante, Rosa Valencia, Crema Marfil, and Amarillo Triana from Europe. In this second revision, the focus shifts to semi-precious stones, offering a more refined approach to natural textures. The unique interplay of light and form brought by onyx takes center stage.
ARCA’s Onyx, known for its translucence and vibrant veining, is a testament to the earth’s artistry. Formed when limestone is dissolved and redeposited, it creates captivating patterns in hues from whites to greens and blacks. This luminous material diffuses light, giving each piece an ethereal quality. For this second collaboration, Kelly Wearstler handpicked Green Onyx, Pink Onyx, Coffee Onyx, White Onyx, Calcite Blue, and Honey Onyx from our curated collection, sourced from prestigious global quarries.

CHAPTER FOUR
The ARCA x Kelly Wearstler collaboration, NUDO, unveils an evolution for Art Basel Miami Beach 2024. A highlight of the collection is the Ping Pong Table—a timeless design crafted from onyx that transitions seamlessly from a lively game table to a statement dining table with a simple removal of the net. The expanded collection introduces new furniture pieces that build upon the design language introduced in the first collection. The Round Coffee Table features a continuous, undulating base that grounds the piece in a sense of fluidity, while the Dining Table form is both robust and poetic, with curves that feel reminiscent of natural rock formations shaped by time. The Lounge Chair offers a rhythmic structure with flowing, parallel curves that evoke a sense of continuity and movement. The design conveys an almost liquid form, exuding a subtle tension between softness and strength. The Corrugated Bench features layered, hollowed-out arches that invite light and shadow to play along its surface.
Classic designs from the Nudo collection undergo a next-generation evolution, reimagined in new stones. The Nudo End Table, Easy Chair, Long Bench, Stool, Chair, and Side Table now take on a gem-like quality in onyx. These new stones lend a deeper dimension to the collection’s iconic forms, accentuating their sculptural allure and soft silhouettes.
