Since 1995, the Arbor Collective has offered a timeless blend of craftsmanship, forward thinking construction, and commitment to the environment. FOR 18/19 For the 18/19 Season, Arbor Snowboards has expanded its signature use of sustainably sourced wood and bamboo, continuing a 22-year tradition of balancing style and performance via our Power Ply topsheets. Look for a noticeable weight reduction across the Power Ply lineup, achieved by using a special, lighter grade of poplar wood in our cores.

We continue to expand on our System design philosophy, steering clear of rocker/camber hybridization. By delivering advanced true rocker and camber, we’re able preserve 100% the benefits inherent to each. To that end, we’re launching System Camber versions of some of our best selling Rocker designs, including the Element, Formula, and Cadence.

Other shape developments include the newly redesigned Men’s and Women’s Clovis, alongside an upgraded Westmark Camber Frank April Edition featuring an enhanced Flip Tip design. We’ve also developed brand-new models like the Men’s and Women’s Cask, an all-terrain powder board built on the Camber System profile, and the reintroduced A-Frame, our legendary directional shape, redesigned and now built with System Camber. Finally, we’ve expanded our sizing options to include wide models in the Westmark Rocker and Element Black Camber, and a mid-wide version of the Bryan Iguchi Pro Camber.

In a quest for continual improvement, Arbor Bindings now feature upgraded buckles, straps, and hardware. We’ve also introduced our new Bow-Strap design across the line for improved boot entry speed and convenience.

The extra contacts also form pivot zones that make turning easier and more natural. Grip Tech effectively moves a board’s primar y interface with the snow underfoot, allowing us to deliver designs that don’t lose performance as we lift leading sections of the effective edge from the snow for a less grabby ride. the parabolic arc, which progressively reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail of a snowboard. This creates low, more effective profiles. On our Rocker System designs, parabolic profiling ensures the outside contact points are close enough to the snow to engage when maximum performance is required – higher speeds, fully loaded turns, and bigger landings. On Camber System designs, this guarantees the outside contact points do not dig too far into the snow, creating a cleaner, less catchy performance that makes it easier to turn, spin, and ride fast.

The Clovis, available in both men’s and women’s versions, is Arbor’s latest Camber System gun. It was designed with pro team rider Mark Carter, who drew shaping inspiration from Native American arrowheads to deliver the performance, power, and stability required for hunting massive mountain lines. We’ve updated the Clovis’ shaping profile and increased its performance for 2019 by adding more volume in the nose, increasing the board’s overall width, adding a slight taper, and shortening the tail length. Increased snap and torsional rebound increase control in critical situations thanks to four carbon a-frames that run diagonally towards the center of the board from the outside contact points. The women’s specific Swoon Splitboard is for the advanced female rider who plans on exploring the backcountry by the power of her own two feet. ARBOR BINDINGS The mission for Arbor Bindings was to develop a unique standalone line, built around models that are utilitarian, but not basic - well designed, but not over engineered. Our goal is create durable, user–friendly designs that deliver real performance and effective technologies. Our binding line is designed to stay true to the performance, craftsmanship, and technical design you’ve come to expect from Arbor Snowboards.

B A S E P L AT E We designed our new baseplate to enhance the link between a rider and their snowboard, while reducing the impact that bindings have on board flex. We achieve this seamless connection with three technologies: System X, Outsole, and Organic Flex.

SYSTEM X System X is a baseplate design that more efficiently transfers and evenly distributes a rider’s energy into their snowboard. No matter where pressure is applied to the binding,

the System X allocates energy across the baseplate’s structural X shape, and out to the four cardinal points. The result is quicker, more effective control. When combining our System X bindings with any Arbor System Rocker or System Camber board design, rider input is transferred from the binding directly into the Grip Tech contact points creating additional edge performance.

OUTSOLE The Outsole is a dampening interface made from a special TPE Rubber. The Outsole integrates with the System X design, and sits between the binding and a rider’s snowboard. The Outsole diffuses high–frequency chatter while providing rebound and cushion for high–impact landings.

• On the Hemlock, we use a softer durometer TPE for a more relaxed ride.

• On the Cypress, we use a slightly stiffer durometer TPE for added performance.

ORGANIC FLEX The System X design reduces the binding footprint by putting less material in contact with the snowboard. This allows the board to flex underfoot more organically and true to spec.
