Hard-working feet should never be left to chance. When you walk normally, the foot is exposed to a load that is 1.5 to 3 times the body weight. Therefore, a properly designed shoe is extremely important. This is something we, shoemakers, have understood since 1839. Our unique craft, our DNA, combines technology with biology: craftsmanship in the form of shoemaking in combination with knowledge of the natural movements of the human body. When you opt for Arbesko, you choose a shoe that gives your feet the best prerequisites for a safe and healthy working life. 1. INSOLE The insole has an integrated shock-absorbing surface in the “pedal” — as close to the foot as possible — thus reducing or distributing the load more evenly. The back of the sole has raised edges, which gives the heel extra stability. 2. PINNED UPPER PART The upper part stretches and is fastened exactly under the insole, approx. 16 mm in. A method that is also used in the manufacture of hand-made Italian shoes. As a result, the upper material does not stretch, but the shoe keeps its fit and stability. 3. STABLE HEEL CAP The heel cap is rounded so as to follow the rounded shape of the heel and is molded in a strong material to maintain a superb fit, be stable and squeeze tightly around the heel for a durable heel grip. 4. MOLDED INSOLE The insole is molded and follows the natural bent shape of the foot. This provides a natural and comfortable support throughout the entire service life of the shoe. 5. SHANK The shank is a splint located under the insole that gives the foot necessary support on uneven surfaces. This also contributes to a torsionally rigid and stable shoe that bends wherever this is done by the foot. 6. EXTRA HEEL CUSHIONING IN RECYCLED MATERIAL Pain in the heels is the most common problem all over the world. This is why we fit our shoes with an extra heel cushioning in recycled material, which provides optimal shockabsorption capacity and a really nice feeling of resilience in the step.
