Available to high school students in the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township, toprated Career & Technical Education (CTE) programming at the McKenzie Center for Innovation and Technology (MCIT) o ers students hands-on project based learning that progresses to opportunities for work based learning and/or career relevant capstone experiences. Students learn not only industry-specifi c competencies, but also 21st century skills including communication, teamwork, and problem solving. O ering 15 industry certifi cations, MCIT embraces rigorous academic programs and diverse technological career courses, preparing students for post-secondary education, military service, workforce preparation, and advanced technical training in a variety of career fi elds including, business, medical, information technology, and human services. Cited by students as program advantages are the low teacherstudent ratio, nurturing environment, cutting-edge technology, the broad array of programs, dual credit o erings, and certifi cation programs.
