Oration ++++//

Oration++++// 2004 Arabian stallion Owned by: Ricci and Stephanie Desiderio Sire: Dormane Dam: Ortie • Winner of more US National Championships than any Arabian in breed history • The only stallion in breed history to win multiple national championships In-Hand and in performance at a national show. • Holds the record for the most national champions earned at a single national show

Standing at: Tranquillity Farm in Chester, New Jersey It is a story we’ve heard repeated about Thoroughbreds for years—a not-‐fast-‐ enough racehorse makes it big in his second career as a show horse. Now, the Arabian world has a story like this about one of its own. Dianne Waldron of RoseBrook Farm in Florida is a highly respected and successful breeder of Arabian racehorses. She keeps a band of broodmares, including the winning race mare Ortie, overseas in order to breed to Europe’s finest stallions. In 2003, Ortie was bred to France’s leading racehorse sire, Dormane. It’s an understatement to say that hopes were high for Ortie’s 2004 son, Oration. Dianne imported him as a weanling and he started in his first race at three years old in 2007. Lacking the speed necessary, but possessing outstanding movement and a mellow personality, Oration was a perfect candidate for a career as a showhunter. His looks and temperament being what they were, Dianne sought someone who could nurture his potential and hone his talents. She leased him to Ricci and Stephanie Desiderio. Oration’s abilities were unmistakable in the hunter ring, with his relaxed, lopey canter and textbook form over fences. He was a natural. Combine that with the expertise in training the Desiderios lent, and you had a phenomenon. Accomplishments • Legion of Masters & Legion of Excellence earned in just 6 shows • 2010 Supreme Champion Sport Horse In Hand • 2009 Supreme Reserve Champion Sport Horse In Hand • 29 National Championships
