IN MEMORIAM
With a career spanning two decades, and blessed with a tremendous amount of natural movement, Aequus became an icon in the Arabian horse world. A 10-time National Champion or Reserve in Park competition, Aequus, the winningest park horse in the history of the Arabian breed in the United States, is the only horse to have won the open and amateur park horse championship in the same year, and he accomplished this at the age of 19.
Bred by Shiko Arabians, and owned by Hazelbank Investments since 2006, he is the most recognized son of Sheikh Ibn Shiko and the only product of his dam, C Me Maroussa, securing his place as a legend.

Trainer, William (Bill) Rodgers, who has had the privilege of working with Aequus for over a decade, was noted as saying, “Aequus was a-once-in-a-lifetime horse, for both his amazing ability to trot, and his personality.
“Aequus stands 14.2 hands tall, but he’s a giant at heart. He’s never failed to give us 100%. I wish that everyone who’s owned a show horse could experience one like this. The crowd loved him as much as we do!”
Justafire DGL (1992-2022)

In his first year in English competition, Justafire DGL (Afire Bey V x MC Justa Kate, by The Chief Justice), only needed to prove himself once, earning U.S. National Reserve Champion English Pleasure Jr. Horse in 1997. What followed was 20 years of himself breeding one National Champion after another, creating a legacy of further highlysought bloodstock that is well-respected to this day in the halter and performance arena.
Bred by Dave and Gail Liniger, and owned by Debroah Holden for the majority of his life, notable offspring include: S Justadream, 10-time National champion and dam of stallion supreme Justify; the Half-Arabian gelding and 23-time National winner Rohara Americanlegend; and National Reserve Champion Stallion Shaddofax, often putting Justafire DGL on Leading Sire lists throughout his life.
