Dear Mr. President and members of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development, On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development, I would like to express my warmest congratulations to the members and their leadership team on this truly remarkable milestone and for the contribution that this Chamber had to the achievement of our common goal, to further expand and strengthen the economic relationship between Greece and the Arab world, in order to maximize the dividends that this longstanding partnership could provide to the economic growth of both, Greece and the Arab countries and to the well-being of their citizens.

The private sector has to play an important role towards the accomplishment of this goal. Since the first and arguably most important step to establish sustainable business relations is the building of reliable personal contacts, we lend our full support to the initiative of the Chamber, to organize the upcoming 4th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum. I wish to all the participants of the Forum the best of success in their work and I hope that this event will give them the opportunity to meet potential partners and to explore common initiatives.

Greece attaches great importance to its economic relations with the Arab countries.

An important share of our trade is with the Arab countries. Our exports to the Arab countries in 2014 amounted to 13.9% of our total exports while our imports amounted to 16% of our total imports. We are convinced that there is potential for increasing the volume of our bilateral trade in order to expand it to new products and markets.

We expect to see the flow of Arab direct investment to Greece starting to increase rapidly and Arab entrepreneurs taking advantage of the ample investment opportunities that Greece provides in many fields, such as energy, tourism, transportation, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, new technologies real estate et.c. I seize this opportunity to reiterate the determination of the Hellenic Government to secure a stable, and friendly to foreign investors, legal and administrative environment, allowing them to pursue their business activities in the most efficient way.

We are particularly proud of the growing presence of the Greek private sector in the Arab countries.

There are some significant Greek direct investments, particularly in Egypt, while the Greek Engineering Construction and Procurement companies have participated successfully in the implementation of some of the most important emblematic infrastructure projects in Qatar, the Emirates, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria and other, such as metro lines, ports, airport terminals, power plants et.c.

Meanwhile the Hellenic government is working closely with its Arab counterparts in order to further enhance the institutional framework of bilateral relations and explore new fields of cooperation. At the same time, bilateral official meetings and visits, Joint Ministerial committees et.c are very often combined with business missions and fora, while the intergovernmental cooperation is focusing, directly or indirectly, on further growing the economic and business interaction between the two sides to their mutual benefit.

The excellent relations between our peoples and the sense of a long historical continuity of exchange and cooperation are a valuable contributor, towards the achievement of “excellence in partnership� between Greece and the Arab World and its ambitious goals.

I would like at the outset to convey our warmest congratulations for the 35th Anniversary of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development. This Chamber works under the umbrella of both the League of Arab States and the General Union of Arab Chambers, and the Arab Ambassadors Corp in Athens, Greece, in conformity with the General Principles Governing Arab - Foreign Joint Chambers.

The Chamber would serve as a bridge between the Arab countries and Greek business communities.

Since its inception, AHCCD role is not only confined to promoting economic relations but its role is evident in upholding bilateral relations between the Arab countries and the Hellenic Republic, particularly in view of the current critical phase. The Chamber is regarded by the League and the Union as one of the most effective and dynamic Arab - Foreign Joint Chambers.

I am not surprised by this important role played by AHCCD, which constitutes an excellent platform for the Arab countries and the Hellenic Republic to exchange views and experiences and to conduct discussions in economics, investment, trade, finance, industry, and all relevant matters. The objective is to enhance trade exchange, to encourage investment, to counter unemployment, and achieve sustainable development. This Forum enables us to discover new dimensions for economic co-operation and to draft future plans for better co-operation. The AHCCD work is based on its deep understanding of the importance of the Arab countries and the Hellenic Republic to the world economy.

I wish AHCCD success, prosperity and progress hoping that its efforts would continue to fortify economic relations between the Arab countries and the Hellenic Republic.

It is my great pleasure to address the Arab and Greek business communities on the opening of the “4th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum,” and on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber. This Forum comes at a very critical time. Greece, on the one hand, is going through an economic crisis and, at the same time, parts of the Arab world are experiencing unprecedented turmoil and wars. Gatherings such as this one, and any other form of dialogue on business, culture, or sports, will surely help foster harmony and understanding between our peoples.

The Forum’s topics have been carefully selected to cover sectors of interest and potential for businesses in both the Arab world and Greece. The Forum is giving serious attention to the issue of investment which I believe is worth exploring in depth during the debates, deliberations, and discussions. The Arab world and Greece enjoy an abundance of resources and the investment opportunities that can be explored are endless. We have to give them careful consideration and, hopefully, this will carry on and bear fruit even after the Forum ends.

The other two main topics, Energy and Infrastructure & Construction Works, are equally important.

Greece and some Arab countries have made great progress in the Sustainable Energy sector and Greek businesses in particular have made important strides in this regard, strides which can only be of interest to the Arab side. The estimated value of Infrastructure and Construction projects in the Arab world will exceed well over one trillion US dollars in the coming decade. Arab and Greek businesses have accumulated a wealth of experience and should be able to compete and win some of these projects, thus improving their own economic profile.

I close my remarks by stressing the fact that we, at the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture for Arab Countries, are enormously proud of the achievements of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development and its role in advancing cooperation and understanding between Arabs and Greeks on both a business and a cultural level. I do extend appreciation and acknowledgement, on my behalf, and on the behalf of the Jordanian private sector, to the Arab - Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development for organizing the Arab – Hellenic Economic Forum and selecting Jordan as a main partner and sponsor for its session this year, as well as for allocating a session on the investment opportunities in Jordan at the inaugural session.

Jordan has adopted a clear economic approach, as the Jordanian economy managed to achieve a real growth as a result of the effort of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, may Allah protect him, who constantly emphasizes the necessity of proceeding with the economic and financial reform programs, developing the investment environment to ensure the attraction of foreign investment, and launching a series of procedures and remedies which would increase the national economy product, improve its investment environment and strengthen its competitive edge and attraction of investments, restore the solid and proper financial situation, adopt a wide set of adequate legislative and regulatory frameworks for investment, deregulation of trade and economic openness, along with the integration into the world economic through accession to several international, regional and bilateral agreements.

Thus, Jordan managed to hold an advanced position on the Arab and international investment map, down to the components and requirements it has which investors seek.

Jordan Chamber of Commerce, as the primary incubator for the Commercial Sector in Jordan, is keen to extend bridges with various economic activities and institutions, whether Arab or international, and participate in all forums and conferences, whether held in Jordan or abroad, with a view to promote the domestic business and investment environment , which is strongly supported by His Majesty King Abdullah II, may Allah protect him, so that the Jordanian economy has established itself on the world investment map through the available incentives and advantages, along with the investment opportunities available to entrepreneurs, all of which are supported by the security and the political stability.

Stemming from this role, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce supports all activities carried out by joint Arab and Non - Arab Chambers of commerce, and is keen to have an active and vital presence through its representation in these chambers, which contributed to the development of the Arab economic relationships with various world economic blocs, as it profoundly believes in the major role that the private sector institutions assume in leading the development processes and driving the economic growth wheel.

There is no doubt that this forum will serve as a major opportunity and step in fostering and development the Arab Hellenic relations on one hand, and the Jordanian Hellenic relations on the other hand in economic, commercial and investment fields. Therefore, I hereby call the Arab and Greek entrepreneurs and investors, through the session allocated to Jordan in this forum, to explore the excellent opportunities that Jordan provides in various investment fields, expand the base of your investments in Jordan, and establish and enter into investment partnerships in development and service sectors, namely the investment in the energy, oil, mineral resources, finance, banking, agriculture, industry, transport, and information technology and communication sectors along with the investment in service, real estate and tourist sectors.

I wish this forum and the Arab - Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development all success in realizing the noble goals and promoting the commercial and economic relations of Arab states with our friendly nation, Greece.

Foreword by Harris Geronikolas & Rashad Mabger President & Secretary General, AHCCD In keeping with our traditions, the 4th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum is a continuity of three previous successful Forums the Chamber has organized. In all these Forums, the Chamber has managed to gather under one roof business representatives from all the Arab countries and Greece, paving the way for their interaction, networking and creation of partnerships between them in all business sectors. The 4th Forum is a step in the same direction, especially considering the critical period we are going through.

In this Forum, emphasis has been given to three focal points: Investment, Energy, Infrastructure and Construction Works. These three topics have been carefully selected, to reflect the interest and strength of Arab and Greek businesses. In the topic of Investment, both sides have a lot to offer to each other in terms of investment opportunities and they have to seriously see to easing the obstacles and difficulties facing the flow of investments between the two sides. Energy, on the other hand, reflects another sector in which Greece has made positive strides; along this we see similar progress made by some Arab countries. Exchange of know-how and joining of forces can be rewarding to both sides. The demand for infrastructure and construction projects in the Arab world is enormous. Greek businesses have made steady progress in the industry of Building Materials and both sides have attained a high standard of Engineering, Architecture and Contracting experiences.

If they join their expertise, they can definitely succeed in having a share in these projects across the Arab world.

The Forum has devoted part of its activities to coordinating B2B meetings between Arab and Greek businesses. These meetings are not restricted to the sectors of the presentations but include virtually all business sectors. These meetings are designed to assist Small and Medium-sized businesses from both sides to increase their exports and imports and assist in creating new Joint Ventures and partnerships between the two sides.

The presence of Arab and Greek businessmen in this Forum reflects their interest and expression of goodwill to continue their constructive business dialogue that will help in accelerating job creation and growth in our respective societies.

We, at the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development, shall do our level best to continue providing high-quality services to our members and to our business communities in Greece and in the Arab world. On a last note, this Forum coincides with the 35th Anniversary since the establishment of our Chamber and we would like to seize this opportunity to express our appreciation and gratitude to those who have shared with us this journey of success. Profile of Jordan Chamber of Commerce

Jordan Chamber of Commerce Jordan Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit institution that serves its members in all economic, commercial and service sectors. The main task of the Chamber is summarized in providing an umbrella for the activities of 16 National Chambers of Commerce and 10 major Commercial Sectors across the cities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Jordan Chamber of Commerce sought aspiration from the royal directions of the homeland leader HM King Abdullah II, who is utterly keen to promote the drive of the economic growth, invigorate all economic activities and sectors, raise the level of citizen livelihood, attain renaissance in all fields for Jordan to become an example to follow, and to position the Kingdom in the world investment map and integrate the national economy into the world economy.

As the official representative of the commercial sector within the Kingdom and abroad, Jordan Chamber of Commerce assumes the task of active participation in all local and international commercial activities and economic areas; assumption of the Initiator pioneering role in providing best possible services to all members of the commercial sector, contribution to the development and growth of the commercial sector and promotion of its capacities in a manner contributing to the growth of the national economy as a whole, and ensuring the attainment of the public interest, all of which emphasize the role of the Chamber in contributing to create a sound commercial environment, and developing an attractive investment climate.

Major activities of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce include: • Achieving the interests of the business community.

• Providing of information and consultancy to the members.

• Building up the economic development • Providing of economic and market condition statistics.

•E ncouraging foreign investments and facilitating international trade.

Main objectives of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce include: •P articipating with the public bodies in drawing up policies related to trade and participating in developing strategies and plans necessary for implementation thereof; •P articipating in the efforts of development and promotion of trade and service, including small and medium sized enterprises; • Promoting cooperation between the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce on the one hand, and the Arab and Foreign Chambers and Associations of Commerce, on the other hand; •S upporting and consolidating the capabilities of the National Chambers of Commerce and coordinating their efforts; •P articipating, along with relevant authorities, in organizing economic and commercial conferences at Local, Arabic and International levels; • Conducting, publishing, and updating economic studies and research in relation to trade and services.

Profile of Jordan Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber carries on its activities at a fast-pace with a view to promote the commercial sector activity at local and external levels through the join ministerial and higher committee. It has also participated in many local, Arab and International economic and commercial forums, conferences and symposia. It further continued to assume its role in supporting the organization of economic gatherings and forums within Jordan and abroad which it deems to be in the interest of the Jordanian economy and a potential to attract foreign investments. The notable 1 events, thatUntitled-1 the Chamber has organized within the Kingdom since 2009, and which were considerably successful based on the participants therein and their positive recommendations that fostered the economic position of Jordan in several areas, include but are not limited to: •A qaba Economic Forum “Achievements and Opportunities” that was held under Royal Patronage in Aqaba City on 01 02/05/2010;

•A rab Conference on Electronic Commerce “Trade without limits” that was held under the Patronage of HRH Princess Sumayya Bint Al-Hussein, (Amman, 05 – 06/12/2010) in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization; • T he National Dialogue Forum on the Economic Situation in Jordan that was held in Amman on 26/02/2011; • T he (110) Session Meetings of the Council of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries that were held in Amman on 28/02/2011 in cooperation with the General Union of Arab Chambers; • T he 14th Conference for Arab Business Owners & Investors under the theme “Investing in Jordan... Promising Opportunities” that was held in Amman on 01-02/03/2011 under the Royal Patronage in cooperation with the General Union of Arab Chambers and the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation;

•U nder the Royal Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, the General Union of Arab Chambers organized, in cooperation with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the European Investment Bank and the European Commission, the event of the 2nd Arab-European Economic Forum in Amman on 20-21/11/2013; •U nder the Royal patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, the Chamber organized the participation of the Jordanian private Sector delegation to Indonesia during 24- 26/2/2014, and held a Forum under the Royal Patronage His Majesty the King on 25/2/2014.

•O rganized the participation of a Jordanian economic delegation in the events of the Arab-German Economic Forum that was held in Berlin on 04-06/06/2014 by the ArabGerman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries and the German Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce since Jordan is a main partner and sponsor for its activities; • Organized the participation of a Jordanian economic delegation in the events of the 2nd Arab-British Economic

Profile of Jordan Chamber of Commerce

Forum that was held in London on 21/10/2014 by the ArabBritish Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, the Arab League, the UK Trade and Investment and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (since Jordan was honored as the partner country for this session); •O rganized the participation of a Jordanian economic delegation in the events of the 9th Arab-Belgian Economic Forum that was held in Brussels on 19/11/2014 by the ArabUntitled-1 1 Belgian - Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (since Jordan was honored as the partner country for this session);

9th Arab-Belgian Economic Forum

• Organized the participation of a Jordanian economic delegation in the events of the 5th Session of the Annual Investment Forum that was held under the generous Patronage of HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice-President, from 30/03 - 01/04/2015 at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The above mentioned events were accompanied by the convening of sessions on Jordan, with a view to explore the investment opportunities and business environment advantages in the Kingdom, which were subject to official interest and support by the host states to develop and build up the economic, commercial and investment relations with Jordan, and to hold discussions and meetings with several participant economic actors, where the discussions were documented by signing mutual agreements and partnerships.

The Chamber has also received many Arab and International economic and commercial delegations; it has played a major role in holding symposia, workshops, training session and bilateral meetings for those visiting delegations, all of which created opportunities to introduce the members of the delegations to the atmospheres of investments and available potentials in the Kingdom, as well as to familiarize them with the laws, legislations, regulations and instructions regulating the investment, and the economic and commercial activity within the Kingdom.

The Chamber has also contributed to holding bilateral meetings between the members of the Arab and foreign visiting delegations and Jordanian businessmen, entrepreneurs, investors and company owners’ counterparts. At the same time, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce has signed several protocols and agreements on cooperation with the Arab and Foreign Chambers of Commerce and Industry; it has also signed several agreements on the creation of joint business councils with those states, and has held several meetings for such councils within Jordan and abroad.

Moreover, the Chamber continues its cooperation with all private sector institutions within the Kingdom with a view to unify and intensify the efforts, and for mutual coordination in all issues of concerns to the homeland in general and to the national economy in particular.

That was an overview on the activities and works of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, stressing that we are determined to proceed with the approach of development, modernization and activation of the commercial activity in a manner consistent with the ongoing march of developments and achievements.

Profile of Arab-Hellenic Chamber

THE ARAB-HELLENIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND DEVELOPMENT The Chamber The Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development is a non-profit organization established by Greek Law No. 990, on December 1st, 1979, followed by Presidential Decree No. 421 of April 1981, and operates under the umbrella of the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Maritime Affairs and Tourism, in coordination with the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab countries, in cooperation with the Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to Greece and with all the Arab Federations and Chambers of Commerce. Its Head Office is located in Athens, Greece. The scope of its business activities covers Greece and the whole of the Arab world.

Objective The objective of the Chamber is to develop and promote economic, trade and cultural relations between Greece and the Arab world.

Primary Goals The Arab-Hellenic Chamber works towards and encourages the creation of new partnerships and Joint Ventures and promotes the flow of investments between Greece and the Arab World.

The Chamber works alongside Arab Federations and Chambers of Commerce towards elevating the trade balance between Greece and the Arab world.

Based on its contacts, information database and networking expertise, the Chamber assists in bringing the Greek and Arab business communities together, through exchange of information, experience and know-how.

Dr. Oklah Al-Zou’bi’s professional experience spans a wide spectrum of socio-economic issues for the development and growth of the Jordanian economy. He was involved in major development programs to strengthen and upgrade the capacity of public sector institutions. His accomplishments include the formulation of an integrated and comprehensive technical assistance program for Jordan in the areas of public sector resource management and Jordan’s integration into the global economy in the areas of investment and trade.

Previously, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Belgium (2010-2014), the European Union (2013), the Kingdom of Norway, the Grand–Duchy of Luxembourg and to NATO. In his capacity as Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (2004 – 2010), Dr. Oklah Al-Zou’bi was the chief negotiator of the free trade negotiations with Canada, Turkey and Mercusor. He was responsible for enhancing trade relations with the EU and heading the trade sub-committee, amongst other related matters, to the conclusion of advanced status with the EU. Dr. Oklah Al-Zou’bi helped negotiate Jordan’s accession to the WTO in issues pertaining to trade and investment, as well as the EU-Jordan Association Agreement and several other trade-related agreements. He advised the government on the restructuring state-owned enterprises and led restructuring teams. He also participated in the negotiation of several privatization deals, including telecom and transport projects.

As Director General of the Investment Promotion Corporation (1997–1999), Dr. Oklah Al-Zou’bi led a team of 70 civil servants in formulating and implementing Jordan’s Investment Promotion Strategy, resulting in an increase of total investments by 28% in 1998 and 103% by mid-June of 1999 compared to the same period in 1998, as well as attracting funding to the various investment promotion programs currently under implementation in Jordan. Moreover, between April 2000 and June 2001, he led a team of 25 national experts in formulating the National Industrial Policy for Jordan.

Dr. Oklah Al-Zou’bi held a variety of positions in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He worked at UNDP’s office in Amman, Jordan, as Program Officer from June 1989 to December 1995, as Senior Program Officer from January 1996 to July 1997 and from July 1999 to June 2000, and as Assistant Resident Representative from July 2000 to March 2003. Dr. Oklah Al-Zou’bi served as Security, Humanitarian and Emergency advisor at UNDP’s Kuwait branch between April and September of 2003, then as Deputy Resident Representative at UNDP’s office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from September 2003 to December 2004.

He graduated from the Varvakeio High School and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Metsovion Polytechnic (National Technical University of Athens). Infrastructure & Construction Works Stathis Natsis is Executive Director – Overseas Business of TERNA S.A. – GEK GROUP, one of the leading construction companies in Greece, since 2002. He has successfully initiated the Group’s international activity by establishing subsidiary companies in the Balkans (Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Fyrom and Albania), the Middle East (Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iraq) and Libya. In these markets he developed the business of the Group in the large infrastructure works, the prominent building projects and the EPC contracting of power plants and industrial facilities. He is a member of the Board of Directors in the Group’s overseas subsidiaries as active Chairman or Managing Director.

He started his career as Civil and Structural Engineer in HERACLES GENERAL CEMENT Co. (member of the Lafarge Group) one of the biggest cement producing companies in Greece where he gradually climbed the ladder of hierarchy from 1980 to 2001. As Head of Projects & Corporate Development Director & Production Director he took part and executed the expansion projects of the company both in Greece and overseas. In this context he worked in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Italy, France, Portugal, U.K., U.S.A., Brazil, Paraguay, India, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Fyrom and Kazakhstan.

He was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1955. He studied Civil and Structural Engineering in the National Technical University of Athens and obtained his Diploma in 1979.

From 1981 to 2000 he participated in all major Conferences for Civil & Structural Engineers (Reinforced Concrete – Earthquake provisions, Soil Engineering, Port & Marine works, etc.) as well as in Courses in Advanced Management, Finance, Project Management, Human Resources & Negotiation organized by EEDE & ELKEPA. From 1997 to 1998 he attended an MBA programme in the ASHRIDGE MANAGEMENT COLLEGE – U.K, a Crisis Handling & Problem Solving, Competitive Strategy & Situational Leadership Course in the ATLANTA BCI EDUCATIONAL CENTRE – USA and an Economic Value Added & Human Resources Restructuring Course at the LAFARGE EDUCATIONAL CENTER – FRANCE. He speaks Greek, English, Arabic and French.

Natural gas ignitings the engine of development The use of natural gas as a fuel for vehicles and while covering the energy needs of industrial, commercial and domestic sector has increased the rate of development which has ‘green’ features and facilitates.

Natural gas is the most economical fuel being the answer to the mandates of sustainable development thanks to its environmental profile. DEPA, is committed to invest in infrastructure development in order to make natural gas accessible to all and strengthen the “economy of natural gas”, which supports all directly and indirectly involved fields, boosts employment, strengthens the competitiveness of the industry and enterprises and improves the citizens’ quality of life.

The penetration of natural gas in the domestic market has been accelerated because of DEPA’s competitive tariff, which comprises of decreased supply prices and rolling-over the discounts to the consumers (industries and individuals).

Entrepreneurship and employment are on the “natural gas track ” The industry and commercial sectors have access to a cheap, non-polluting fuel that results in low operational costs and development of new infrastructure, new technologies and new jobs. Transportation has an “ally” in the movement of people and goods since professional fleets and means of transportation invest in CNG to reduce fuel consumption and their carbon footprint.

Ongoing investments on the natural gas network infrastructure DEPA Group, with big investments and significant international agreements and joint ventures (Shell, ENI, Edison etc) contributes to economy growth, environmental protection and improvement of the quality of life of the local communities by developing its network and securing the country’s supply.

It is worth noting that the company’s targets are in a few words: maintenance of its leading position in the domestic market and competition conditions and the unhindered continuation of the group’s business programme having as main axes: • implementation of the strategic importance of the interconnecting gas pipelines with neighboring countries, investments for the development of critical infrastructures inside the country (ITGI, IGB, Aegean LNG, network expansions, satellite CNG or LNG supply systems etc)

• expansion of its commercial activities to new regions of the country and other markets in SE Europe and the Balkans.

• exploitation of new innovative applications in natural gas use, such as electricity and heat/cool co-generation, setting up satellite supply systems for remote areas/ customers, vehicle moving etc.

In Greece, DEPA opening up the market for CNG-fueled vehicles, develops refueling stations throughout the country under the FISIKON brand aiming at raising awareness of CNG in the Greek road network. Clean, affordable, safe, natural gas is helping more and more Greeks get to where they need to go. DEPA currently operates several refueling stations in various cities all over Greece and many others are under construction or under licensing phase in Athens.

DEPA: Substantial Contribution to Economy Growth A group that…

• introduced natural gas in Greece by making a big energy investment • has significant contribution to Greek economy growth, environmental protection and improvement of local communities’ quality of life • supplies industries, enterprises and households with natural gas following the “path” of sustainable development • covered with natural gas an area from Thrace to Attica and all big consumption areas of the continental part • made co-operations with big international companies • opened up the way to gas-driving by establishing stations in big cities • develops initiatives so that Greece plays an important role as natural gas transit hub to Europe.

On the path of development Natural gas offers an outstanding field of application in transportation and goods transit, being the ideal fuel for vehicles of any size and offering a wide range of advantages. It is economical for individual and professional vehicles while at the same time it is friendly for the urban environment and contributes to the restriction of air pollution.

FISIKON technology – namely the natural gas used as fuel for vehicles – is tried, advanced, safe and offers the same possibilities with the most widely spread choices. In order support the idea of using natural gas as a fuel, DEPA develops infrastructureand implements strategic co-operations aiming at expanding the use of this economical, safe and environmental friendly fuel on the Greek roads.

DEPA currently operates refueling stations in various cities all over Greece. Four of them can be found in Athens: • ΕΚΟ – 264, Kifisias Avenue, Kifisia • Fisikon refueling station in Ano Liosia • ΕΚΟ – 8th km of Athens-Lamia National Road, N. Philadelphia • Fisikon refueling station in Anthousa, on the side road of Attiki Odos in Thessaloniki: • EKO – 128, Georgiki Scholi Avenue, Pylaia, and • ΒΡ – 36, K. Karamanli Avenue, Nea Magnisia and in Volos: • ΒΡ – 202, Larisis Street.

One more refueling station is under construction in Larisa and one in Lamia while 6 more are under licensing phase in Athens.
