I write today to express my sincere gratitude for the support you have offered this wonderful learning community. You, through your gifts of time, talent, and treasure, are making possible the transformative educational experience provided to the young women of Woodlands. Thank you for your investment in their future and that of our school.
Each of us has a role to play in advancing the mission of Sacred Heart Education. As a benefactor, you play an incredibly significant role in the support of our faculty and staff who are the backbone of this undertaking. With your generous gifts to the Woodlands Fund and your support of events such as Congé, including the paddle raise, you help underwrite the curricular advances, instructional strategies, and professional development engagement required to deliver the highest quality educational opportunities enjoyed by the students at Woodlands.
There is a quote from Mother Janet Erskine Stuart that is among my favorites, she wrote: We must remember that each one of our children is destined for a mission in life…that there is some special work for God which will remain undone unless she does it, some place in life which no one else can fill.
Thank you for helping us with this great undertaking. Because of your generosity, each day the young women of Woodlands are engaged in the discovery of their purpose…they are growing in their understanding of what and who they are called to be. The transformation that occurs between Freshman Orientation and Graduation Day goes well beyond Algebra to Calculus and Follower to Leader. The growth you are supporting awakens in our students an acute awareness of how, across their lifetime, they will live, love, and make use of their unique gifts.
