I am writing to express my enthusiasm for the trainee position at your firm , which I discovered through online platform. With a Master's degree in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design from Politecnico di Milano, completed in July 2024, I am eager to contribute to your team and learn from your esteemed practice starting January 2025
My passion for landscape architecture extends beyond aesthetics; I see it as a vital discipline that intersects with urbanism and architecture. I believe that effective landscape design can address pressing environmental challenges, particularly those posed by climate change. I am committed to utilizing design as a tool for creating contextually relevant developments that foster harmony between the built environment and nature.
To deepen my understanding of landscape and urban design, I attended the “Landscape Architecture and Site Planning: Basic Fundamentals” course at IIT Kharagpur, where I explored classical landscape styles and user-oriented issues under Professor Banerjee. This experience solidified my desire to pursue my Master’s degree and provided me with a strong theoretical foundation.
My eight months internship at Laspazio in Ahmedabad, India, under Architect Lokendra Balasaria, transformed my theoretical knowledge into practical experience. Participating in initiatives like "Tree Walk Ahmedabad" allowed me to connect with the environment in profound ways, further inspiring my commitment to sustainable design.
As someone from India, a country grappling with rapid urbanization, pollution, and population growth, I understand the urgent need for integrated, green solutions in both public and private spaces. I am dedicated to using my skills and experiences to enhance physical and mental well-being through thoughtful landscape design.
I aspire to practice landscape urbanism by balancing beauty, nature, and functionality. My vision is to shape spaces into meaningful, sustainable environments that benefit both users and the ecosystem. Joining your firm, would be a significant step in my journey as an urbanist, equipping me with the tools and insights to tackle global challenges and contribute to a sustainable future.
