However, his accomplishments extended beyond athletics. Dr. Hensley's love story began in high school as well, as he married his high school sweetheart, Amber Dillon, who also graduated in 1991. He returned to UNLV, this time as a part-time instructor in the radiography program, while simultaneously pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. Undeterred by challenges, he continued to excel academically and eventually earned his Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Career and Technological Education

Over the years, Dr. Hensley's knowledge and leadership in radiography made him an invaluable asset to the university. He eventually reached the pinnacle of his career as the Director of the Radiography Program at UNLV, where his guidance has nurtured the talents of countless students and shaped the future of medical imaging professionals.
