BEYOND THE FIELD

Eric Bitonti, a senior at Aquinas High School, made history this year when he was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 3rd round of the MLB draft with the 87th overall pick. This marks the highest draft pick in Aquinas High School's history. The talented left-handed hitter drew attention from scouts with his impressive raw tools and power potential. Bitonti showed tremendous upside at just 17 years old He has a physical 6-foot-4 frame that should add more strength as he develops Scouts praise his plate discipline, ability to pick up spin, and untapped power potential that could make him an impact bat in the future While Bitonti played shortstop in high school, most project him moving to third base where his plus arm and athleticism could make him an above-average defender. His considerable offensive ceiling ultimately secured his place as an early round selection for the Brewers, who believe refined instruction will help Bitonti maximize his abilities. Bitonti's selection demonstrates the excellence of the Aquinas High School baseball program, which has now produced multiple draft picks This outstanding achievement caps off Bitonti's accomplished high school career on a high note as he now embarks on his professional baseball journey with Milwaukee
