The College receives the cards and issues them to students. The timeframe takes approximately three weeks from commencement at the College. Lost SmartRider Please visit the School Office and a new SmartRider card can be ordered for the cost of $10.00 per card. It takes approximately one week to receive the new card. For Buswest users please purchase interim pre-paid cards at a cost of $10 for 5 rides.

How can my son travel while waiting for his Aquinas College SmartRider?
Transperthoffers a grace period at the beginning of the school year where students can travel to and from school for free without their SmartRider. However, this period has an expiration date (usually early March), after which a SmartRider is mandatory. While your son(s) wait for their SmartRider, transport with Buswestis free if the student presents a Buswest interim pass.These interim passes can be collected from the College Reception, which is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. The pass must be shown to the bus driver upon entry.
My son has received his Aquinas College SmartRider, how do I register it?
To register the SmartRider card for public transport, please visit Register SmartRider. Students with a valid Student SmartRider can enjoy free travel on Transperth services for any journey from Monday to Friday, until the end of the school year. To travel for free, students must tag on and tag off properly with their Student SmartRider every time they use public transport.

College Expectations Safe and Respectful Behaviour on Bus Travel All Aquinas students are required to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct. As representatives of the College, students must: be courteous and respectful at all times follow all safety directions given by the bus driver on Transperth services: Students must offer seats to adults on Buswest services: Remain seated while the bus is in motion and wear seatbelts where available avoid any behaviour that may distract the driver or other road users not eat or drink on the bus not cross the road in the teardrop area in front of buses
How to Catch the Bus After School Students will line up inside the teardrop gates for each bus service in order of Junior School, Middle School and then Senior School students. Before exiting the gate, the duty teachers will check students in line for their SmartRider or interim Buswest card. Students without these can be denied service.

eRIDEABLES BANNED Starting Term 1 2026, all students will not be allowed to use eRideables on school grounds.
PARKING Parents are not permitted to park on the grass unless ovals have been open with signage. Year 12 students with permission from Head of Senior School and following strict conditions can use restricted parking areas.
