THE WORLD NEEDS WHAT YOU'VE GOT

letter to The tribe,

What a year it has been… There have been so may twists and turns, that it’s easy to feel down. Who could have ever imagined we would be in this situation? I have been inspired lately by a podcast about resiliency. Resiliency is a person’s mental ability to recover quickly from misfortune, illness or depression. Resiliency is a skill that can be developed and is found in many of the happiest and most successful people. I was encouraged by hearing that even during the darkest days, people that are resilient are able to focus their minds on the silver lining of their situation. For so many, this past year has been filled with so much joy and tragedy. We have worked twice as hard for half as much and are feeling beat. But even so, we must work toward focusing our mind on rays of light and the silver linings. My hope is that this magazine offers you a ray of light. Let the stories feed your soul and ignite the spark of new possibilities. Cherish yourself and those you love because right now we need our community more than ever. Challenge yourself to see the good in life and in yourself. Champion your dreams no matter how big or small. Brighter days are ahead my darling, keep dreaming big. The world needs what you’ve got. Xoxo, Amanda

DREAM BIG DARLING 2019 AUCTION, DINNER & CONCERT

RETREAT

On a beautiful fall day last September, forty women gathered on the historic Santa Margarita Ranch to spend 2.5 days together learning and connecting as they launched Tribe One of the inaugural Dream Big Darling retreat!

It was a magical day that started with a movein to the glamorous tents on the property at Oyster Ridge, the heart of Ancient Peaks Winery’s Vineyard. All forty participants got settled and kicked off the retreat with a zipline adventure followed by live music and dinner.

There were 2 days of facilitated group events, spanning leadership development panels with experts from the all aspects of the wine industry to financial planning panels and outside experts focused on entrepreneurship.

All of this was complemented by a focus on overall wellness with highlights of sunrise yoga, meditative walking and horseback riding.

But most of all, it was a magical time that was incredibly transformative for the women who attended. They were able to grow deep connections, learn valuable new leadership skills, and emerge with a flame that has continued to brighten their paths in our industry.
