A DECADE OF INNOVATION After working in interior architecture and lighting design for 20 years, I founded Apure in 2013 with a clear vision: to develop architectural lighting fixtures to create a new perception of lighting for outstanding interior spaces. First and foremost, aesthetics drove my team and me to develop glare-free lighting fixtures that visually disappear to prevent light pollution. To achieve these goals, the MINUS series was developed and launched in 2017, a fixture series that revolutionized the international lighting world. From the beginning, we commissioned the world-renowned Studio F·A·Porsche to design unrivaled up-market products, giving them shapes that became icons. At the same time, Apure Germany engineered and produced the fixtures. Secondly, my goal was to emphasize, through our illumination, the individual architecture and interior design of our clients. We aimed to value and recognize their creative work rather than see numerous highly disturbing hot spots on the ceiling. Furthermore, our planning division creates an unseen lifestyle for interior spaces, rather than just a “simple illumination plan,” by using our fixtures as tools to compose an atmosphere where you deeply feel the light rather than see it. Meanwhile, Apure has expanded globally and collaborates with the most esteemed, renowned architects worldwide and is represented on four continents, in 22 countries, and across 80+ cities today. With this illustrated work, “A Decade of Innovation,” we want to express our gratitude to all our valued clients, supporters, and partners.
