INTRODUCTION

Studying as a Therapy I hereby present a successful study method which can be described as Associative and Intuitive. It is the report of a Personal research of a non-academic nature, but with minimal references where necessary to known or validated theories (in the text with the symbol "►" of external link) with respect to what it could be intended as "common knowledge".

— In particular, the "Interpretation of Dreams as Fractals", the "Fish-Man Syndrome" and clearly the "ThreeWords Method"; but also the "Hybridization of Topics" and the "Mystic Phrase"; are completely mine original and mainly come from my experience with the Interpretation of Dreams – a kind of studies which basically makes people aware of some tiniest mind patterns, allowing a day-by-day adjustment of an "ever-experimental" path.

THE RECURSIVE LOGIC. The whole mechanism can be referred to the "Method of Free Thought Concatenations" described by Sigmund Freud in his ► Interpretation of Dreams [Wikipedia]; but the fundamental idea of my works consists in recursively applying a "Conceptual Framing", that is, creating a Project increasingly generalized according to a "Fractal Growth" – which I tailored after my need for Multitasking. Nevertheless, you

may intend it as a collection of suggestions – the same as, for what I am concerned, I will keep on with my experiments.

WHY DO PROBLEMS BECOME OBSTACLES? What I refer to, is the essence of a larger issue which implies not only "memory skills", but also a global trend to ► Personality disorders [Wikipedia] with a particular reference to Performance anxiety as its primary cause – a problem which I consider a cultural issue, not only individual, unfortunately thence promoted as a "Social Value", which however is nothing but an ► Affective Blackmail [Wikipedia] standardized as "Educational Method".

— In other words, my system is an "indirect strategy" to turn away the mind from an attitude to Idealizing Future (causing to skipping problems between us and our idealized Target); to instead bring attention to the present moment, focusing on (and enjoying) problems as "disguised opportunities".

FORM AND TRASCENDENCY. This work is about the "Method-without-Method applied to Learning": the construction of a competence based on the deepening of Issues that are generated at the same time of the study, thus orienting the study itself and activating deep mechanisms of self-motivation; therefore the constitution of a "Trascendental Thought – based, but not constrained by a Form", that is, intimately aimed at Innovation, as the fundament of an authentic "entrepreneurial" spirit.

THE SEARCH FOR THE "METHOD WITHOUT METHOD". Nothing different, in principle, from the common exhortation at school desks, "Read and Repeat with your own Words"; the problem, as everyone knows, is the abysmal difference between a sequential procedure, relying on a mechanical review – certainly effective, but unsustainable from a motivational point of view, in a competitive often and subdued context, which on the contrary, it favors a Notionistic attitude (in fact defined as "scholastic method"); and instead the involved attitude, which deals with the study subject in a holistic, disordered way, then more and more detailed but relational, and eager for progress.

This involved attitude could therefore be an image of a "Method without Method"

LOVE FOR PROBLEMS. We know, however, that even in emotional involvement there is the risk of relying on the momentary inspiration, or of closing oneself in a sector (see ► "The Passion Trap", video by Barbara Oakley [Coursera]) or for it to be supported by the need for esteem, or even by revenge; but competence is not competition (in Latin: "when many ask for the same thing") – it is the pleasure of challenging one's own limits, or better, when love brings us beyond the Fear of the Unknown: Love is the Love for Knowledge And Mystery is its door.

The Interpretation of Dreams Is there a rational, functional way to recall the "emotionally involved" attitude at will?

LOVING IS NOT WANTING. Actually, there is no technique or detail resulting in a "cause-and-effect mechanism": the mechanisms involved in this method are not under the control of Rationality, and we should rather speak of "attitude".

THE PROBLEM OF CREATIVE BLOCKING. My "discussion" is an attempt to formalize my experience with the Interpretation of Dreams, since the moment I understood that Dreams are a "guided exercise" for the Intuition

faculties, as part of a precise feed-back mechanism focused on the attitude we carry out daily activities: — "Why do you have so many books on the table? what is the real meaning of those books?" just as these situations are a symptom of obstacles ("Emotional blocks") to an harmonious development and creative ("Creative workflow").

THE INSTINCT TO CONFIGURATIONS. I therefore isolated some Principles, closely related to Artistic expression, which are compatible with an intentionality of purpose: — The most important principle is, rightly, the Recursive Indefinability on Scale of Dimension, what is now called Fractal Geometry . The same way ► Juan Miró [Wikipedia] used to define precise Forms starting from random schemes; just as we all try to find sharp Forms in Clouds, this method thus seeks to bring the principle of Indefiniteness into the field of Abstract Concepts, which for this very reason, become easier to manipulate.

In practice, I use Random Elements taken from a text, to create a Reference Structure for those contents; and the same way I can apply the same principle to smaller sections of the text, I can do it at an immediately higher (extratextual) scale also, by creating a "Fictitious Project" that holds that text, or more texts and activities together (my Priorities).

— By setting, these Structures are undefined, and it is only through in-depth study that I will be able to delineate their physiognomy. To this purpose, I will use the material of my Priorities as a concrete reference: by reflecting my Working Material on these Structures as if they were mirrors, I will be able to find a variety of evaluations and connections also in the personal sphere, resources otherwise lost in the anxiety of a result.

STUDYING AS EMANCIPATION. In this way, learning becomes personalized and dynamic thanks to Creating Questions, since the lack of firm references naturally leads to an inquisitive attitude that is self-motivated: by exploiting this principle, it is possible to activate an involvement that implies confrontation with one's own limits, then the planification of a Strategy. This moreover results therapeutic in situations where the fear of losing one's own limits is, on the contrary, an obstacle to personal emancipation, an obstacle that often comes from educational contexts that impose predefined answers and trigger Comformism.

Living "the Fractal way" Before leaving you to this work, hoping that it will be useful, let me emphasize that the Indefinability also implies Graduality – but it is also true that it is Troubles, the context where valid strategies are consolidated; and since this method is based on the Creation of Problems, please consider how to interpret it... in a fractal way! 1. THE INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS AS FRACTALS

The Form of Forms MY SUCCESS AS SURREALIST. The origin of this method can be referred to my studies in interpreting my own dreams, to which studies I came, due to having tried to better my realistic drawing techniques for my ► Surrealist artworks (1996-1999) – a genre based on the pure Representation of Dreams, born inside a more general FantasyEpic context: I was 20 years old and, since some years, I had been collecting dreams of wonderful appearance that

soon led me to recognitions (among which a Jury Mention at Premio Arte 1998 and a friend's exam thesis about my works), making me wonder about a true artistic career.

MY STUDIES ON THE SHAPE OF CLOUDS. These figurative exercises concerned above all Perspective and Natural Elements, with particular interest in ► Clouds and Trees (which as you may see, often appeared in my dreams), and were finally condensed in my work ► The Knight of Water (2001) which, however, was the last one in the Fantasy genre, since studying Clouds brought me on the contrary to the abstract/materic research.

It is quite curious how, starting from a real landscape that inspired it (a thunderstorm), The Knight of Water can be "biographically" read just like "the Fantasy-Figurative World gives place to the Materic Expressionism" – with the first work of the genre (► EoCP, 2001) already in the same year

⛅ THE SHAPE OF DESTINY. In the meantime then, that my drawing studies conformed to the dreams I wanted to portray – which made me go further deep inside that world; I realized at some point that I could have compared the Recursive Geometry of Clouds to the "Logic" of my dreams, because of apparently "modular" correspondences to the events of real life; that is, as if dreams were based on a Syntax in common with Geometry and to Events, therefore capable of representing itself "always the same but in many different forms" – an idea that the Ancient Greeks already applied to Oracles, in the belief that Destiny occurred anyway (as "Shape of the Events"), regardless of its historical manifestation.

MODELS OF REALITY. As I would have understoof further on, that was a hint therefore to consider Dreams as a Model of Reality, written with a symbolic language: we tend customarily, to think that they are totally "out of any logic", due to huge sequential gaps; but that is absolutely not, and those gaps are likely meaningful themselves: dreams should be approached with a Sherlock Holmes' attitude, seeking for relations between apparently unrelated elements, inquiring any "detail" and "inconsistency" as meaningful. Dreams actually pose themselves as a "training for Intuition", and have a perfectly comprehensible underlying logic, the s.c. "hidden meaning".

— Nevertheless, their embarassing complexity may open various interpreting directions, for a virtually infinite deepening at various Levels of Abstraction: concerning the Self, up to the System that contains it, so that the "meaning" may often be translated into that abstraction of the "Form of the Events" – a kind of "Natural principle" that resembles a lot a Taoist proverb (for eg. "Light-weight things tend to go upwards").

Dreams and the Crave for Success THE PLANET OF DELUSIONS. Thanks to the idea of "Logical-Geometric Recursion" and of "Form of Forms", I therefore started a Fractal approach on dreams' symbols which would lead me to an ability of interpreting "on many levels at the same time" (a concept I borrowed from Hermeneutics of Sacred Texts) – in particular since 2007, when I could state having given a dream a "meaning" that made enough sense: — "There had been a terrible Alien invasion which brought an epidemics; charts full of deads got stuck in the mud, and deads kept on transforming into cannibal zombies; but suddenly the spaceship flew away" By observing this description, I suddenly realized that "the Starship flew away" indicated me I was on the right path to drop off my obsessions coming from "the Planet of Delusions" – some idealizations for a future "with no more problems", expressing a regression desire of turning back into an uterine dimension.

My adventure with dreams had just took off

DREAMS AS AUTO-CANNIBALISM. In their most basic layer, Dreams are the Representation of Themselves playing Themselves: this Logical Recursion means that each symbol inside a dream can be first of all, read like that: — "I am the Dream: I am just like an alien Spaceship that brings you Obsessions"

This, because my problem with Surrealism was, that the precocious success I was obtaining by painting dreams down, made me clutter with those projects within short time, so that the Dreams stored for my Surrealist project were "eating up" any other different professional aim, in that "they made people turn into cannibal zombies" – because rather than interpreting them and transform myself, I kept them in a "zombie" state, opportunistically waiting to turn them into an artwork for my own "success".

Therefore it is not true that the Artistic Activity lies above any existential fallacy; rather it is true that, since the Artistic activity can be seen as an "abstract representation" of Creative Research, the cluttering tendency to Materialism that arises from the Crave for Success (see ► Compulsive Hoarding [Wikipedia]) can be eventually applied to any other expectation in life (called Projection in Psychoanalysis).

— Obsessions kill creative-strategic energies, so the anxious Aim for Success is surely the main point Dreams would ever deal with.

AUTOCANNIBALISM AS SOLUTION. Consequently, Dreams pose themselves as Exercise, and, as such, it "eats my Resources" – that is, my Time; but in this case it will be time spent in removing the source of the problem itself: the Anxiety of Time. So this is how, starting from a vigorous representation of a problem, Dreams make use of the very same image to propose its creative interpretation. I called this phenomenon as Symmetrical Recursion, the fact that a dream is both the "Problem" AND the "Solution" to it.

— "I am the Dream, I am like an Alien Spaceship that brings you a Higher technology: if you want to get rid of Obsessions, make me fly away" That is, "If you want to free a Dream's potential, you need to study the Dream" (instead of "holding it" in its symbolic representation). I could therefore do the same operation on each symbol, and say f. eg. that Dreams brought me a special "Alien Disease" which makes me capable of "feeding myself on the representation of dreams" and get "stronger" – but then you could argue it is a forced interpretation: — I reply that it is precisely in this forcing that I demonstrate having acquired the invitation to interpreting even extremely pessimistic representations "in a positive key", because (we will see now) Dreams are basically expression of an Existential Principle.

That is, this is the way my body is telling me that, by going deep inside an issue ("studying the dream"), I will transform my attitude, since "learning is changing". Generalizing: — Dreams are an education to loving Life through the Sublimation of Matter ("Trascendency")

The Fish-Man Syndrome THE PERMISSION TO GROW UP. The Love of Life is mainly expressed by enjoying Problem-solving, by being curious towards the Unforecasted events, and this is a spontaneous approach in human nature; but time, together with Affective blackmails can turn audacity into shyness and regression, developing a trend to Mental dependence, so that people will always feel the urge to "mirror" a requested behaviour ("having to do the right thing") and receive the "Permission to Grow" from an authority that they themselves endowed with a Life-Death power. This is the origin of Sadistic-narcissistic Personality disorders, which actually are a "missed growth", an eternal need "to be protected against the Unknown", that is, for never to die: this is the Fear of Life.

TOYS IN THE ATTIC. Basically, however, this attitude doesn't really deal with persons, but with entire civilizations. The Personality disorders are almost certainly inherited by an anxious blackmailing educational model passing accross generations, that can be tracked back to Authoritarian regimes and the need for a homogeneous control. This control is realized by kidnapping the maternal love and blackmailing about it, in order to get the desired behaviour, since children need Stability. If a child is not allowed to develop Self-Confidence, then is lost (see ► René Spitz [Wikipedia]); and if the English proverb "Having Toys in the Attic" describes a paranoid psychosis, the motto "Duty comes before Pleasure" is generally seen as the quintessential educational principle, when instead causes a dissociation "Job ≠ Fun" (Job being not a social expression of oneself), and in facts is a paradox:

— "Show me you are adult, and I will let you develop your Identity"

THE QUEST FOR THE GOLDEN FLEECE. This infinite Generational Blackmailing Education is therefore based on a "Impossible mission" charging the victim, the above said Quest for the Right Thing: a "Magical Object" to bargain one's own Freedom of Choice, which however "can never be found", because, if a Tyrant lets a blackmail be solved, they will loose their power onto that person. Therefore, since it basically deals on being judged on the basis of a Mirroring behaviour, the Tyrant's Esteem will never be "reached", and the level of request will increasingly grow, obliging to an alternative between Exellence or Failure, that is, between Life or Death, to which many will prefer Self-Sabotage: Failing not to fail.

— The Permission to Grow is actually a functional deceiving, and the only other solution is represented by two main attitudes, the Hypocrite submission ("Rebel Comformism") and Seizing the Power ("Comformist Rebellion") to become paranoid Tyrants on their turn, and finally take possession all the Goods they were blackmailed with ("Fetichistic Materialism"): because, at the very base of this chain, there is always a Lack of Affection and of SelfConfidence due to the Kidnapping of Maternal Love.

THE FISH-MAN SYNDROME. To sum up: the blackmailed person grows with the anxiety of bringing the Tyrant "the Right Thing" (Stability) in order to get their Mom-Toy (the Permission to Grow) back in exchange; but this is exactly what happened to the Tyrant themselves before: – That is, if the "Solution of the Blackmail" practically consists in "bringing the Tyrant their own Mom-Toy", this however implies solving the blackmail of which the Tyrant's Parent was a victim, who, in order to free themselves, they have to solve the blackmail of which the Tyrant's GrandParent was a victim... and so on, climbing backwards in the past this chain without end.

This way, the only true Solution of the Blackmail is going backwards in Time up to the "Earliest Ancestors" – a scheme that I therefore called The Fish-Man Syndrome since this idealized, and impossible Solution might be represented by the image of the Ancestral Fishes, while the Obsession of Time that arises from having to accomplish this "mission", is the basis for developing Psychosis.

THE END OF ALL PROBLEMS. Narcissism therefore, which in the common sense is related to "Vanity", is much more related with the anxiety of Reaching an Idealized Solution that implies personal Survival. In this sense, Time is the Enemy in the Narcissistic thought, because anything interposes with reaching the Solution-Fetish is perceived as Death: a Narcissist does not want to deal with Problems, as they imply Change (Death), so they typically aim at command and enslavery roles to avoid any Effort – paradoxically (but comprehensibly) putting all of their resources and strategies in trying to reach that condition (uterine). Therefore in its manifestation as Sadism too, it should be better intended as Competition for the Prize, rather than to inflicting Pain.

— In this mind, children are an extension of oneself, "copies" meant to accomplish the "Mission" and solve the problem of permanent Homeostasis – a cultural neurosis that can be identified in the Obsession for Success: the end of all problems.

THE ETERNAL QUEST FOR MATERNAL MILK. Dreams give a logic alternative to this deceiving. By going at the historical roots of Symbols, the Past is reached again in a mental dimension, exploring the real motivations behind the Everyday actions and decisions, since each of those symbols is a "Fetichistic Projection" of the Right Thing – until we will discover again that the Basic Common Symbol of all those projections is the Maternal Milk, or better (since people dream even before being born), the Stability as the necessary base for further explorations.

Stability, besides a right of childhood, can't however really be a human target, but a consequence of a continuous progress and experimentation. Dreams are exercises to develop the Strategic Thougth: by giving this intellectual nurture to Problem-solving, Dreams are aimed at Emancipation as they obey to a greater principle than individual decisions, since each individual is part of a Species. Dreams therefore are an expression of the Vital Principle and need free individuals to explore the universe and go beyond the borders of Fear. Because at the bottom of this exploration, we will find the love of our ancestral Fish-parents and the audacity that brought them out of the Sea.

Dreams and Intuition TRIGGERING INTUITION WITH ASSOCIATIONS. The Interpretation of Dreams tries to open a creative flow through emotional clutters, and Intuition is its main tool: the Interpretation activity itself is meant to trigger Actions based on Intuition, because intuition does not obey mental patterns, but breaks them, so that new habits may be formed.

While the Free Association of Ideas (in ► Sigmund Freud's Interpretation of Dreams [Wikipedia]) is a preliminary and exploratory activity of each symbol, then Intuition is that "sudden idea" that makes us see not only the "Connection" among all symbols (the overall meaning of the representation), but it also triggers an Impulse to Action that likely makes us start "doing something" without having planned it – that is, without an idealized Motivation ("fixation"), just pragmatic, immediate – for example:

EACH DAY NEW DREAMS. This brings us to the global sense of the question: the Interpretation of Dreams is like going to school and learn (again) a mind without bias, free from the anxiety of having to get rid of the obstacles between us and our "final prize" (Mom's Love and the Permission to Grow); and this school will teach us that Problems Never End inside a dynamic system, that each day will bring us "a new dream to solve" – that is, a different and increasingly difficoult challenge, where the previous solution won't just fit: Accept the new challenge!

Confusion and Contemplation are therefore two states of mind that are fundamental in any Problem-solving strategy (the so called "Method without Method"), so the ability to the Associations of Ideas, and to Intuition – which is a new association that didn't exist before – must be part of a good study technique.

On Christian Religion GOD WANTS YOU TO CHOOSE FREELY. The above speech may easily be turned into religious concepts, while this is not the place I wanted to talk about that, I also think these ideas should be extremely simple; so when I say that Psychotic disorders are a cultural fact rather than individual, I may refer to the fact that Jesus' God is

"Absolute Love", which only means that anyone should feel free to take a professional path as a consequence of a day-by-day activity and decision-structuring, rather than be blackmailed to comform to whatever "Model".

REBELLION IS STILL OBEDIENCE. The phenomenon of "Behavioural Stereotypes" appears to be historically inherited from emergency social situations, where anyone has to "do their part" and obey a temporary leader; that easily turned into paranoid authoritarian regimes, who narrow any possible professional choice according to opportunist Utilitarianism (Soldiers or Craftsmen; Priests; Prostitutes) and create Evil anywhere outside their borders (see for example the movie ► THX-1138 [Wikipedia]). This eventually has to be the most logical reason why the mystic Jesus was executed as a political dissident – that is, a troublemaker – while he actually suggested that Rebellion is still a form of Mental dependence (as seizing the Power is an expression of Attachment), and to rather tackle any regime by following one's own Spirit.

THE GOOD TIDINGS IS THAT YOU ARE GUILTY OF NOTHING. Jesus' philosophy appears to be an original synthesis between the Lifestyle of the Deserts, where anyone is responsible of each other; and the Lifestyle of the Cities, where each professional specialization brings a new contribution; but generally we give more importance to the first part, so Christianity is mainly about Solidarity ("the Good Samaritan"); we always tend to forget, and this aspect may have been intentionally underestimated, that Jesus is The Saviour because he said that a society embracing Difference is capable of Evolution, and that children should develop their own talent free from any dogmatism – so that Christianity is much more the Philosophy of Emancipation through Professional Development, because such society is much more intertwined whereas its members have a genuine interest into enhancing each other's potential, rather than corporations of scared individualists exploiting each other in a competition for God's Love: — referring to the allegorical example of the Original Sin, Jesus therefore brings the revolutionary idea that any Sin is not such, as long as it is part of a personal evolution, and that the Expulsion from Paradise has to be read in its positive dimension of getting adult and responsible of a Family, as a consequence of having gone after... the Mystery of Intuition.

Because Intuition goes beyond borders of Certainty, and Faith is the Faith in our own intuitions. This is Loving Life.

2. THE THREE-WORDS STUDY METHOD

The Three-Words Technique CREATING A FRAME. After many years spent in this personal exploration, I defined the essential guidelines for an Associative-Intuitive, and Fractal study method which is based on the idea of a casual selection of items (stochastical) used as a search/ and structural parameter (heuristic) Besides, it shares some similarity with ► Jerome Bruner's Scaffolding [Wikipedia] concept, in that a "filter" is a better approach to a source of data, rather than trying to get all the possible meanings all in once; so it's right to quote him also.

THE STEPS. I therefore thought I had to reduce my method to a very simple technique that did not imply too many passages, so I called the following as Method of the Three Words consisting in two/three actions:

1. PICK THREE RANDOM WORDS — Pick three random words from the text you have to learn, and note them down. From now on, these will be our "Three-Words", which you are going to use as done above to "interpret a dream" (chapter 1): initially keeping them separate to form "chains of associations", but you will

see they tend to conceptually combine with each other; hence the idea directly to combine them into "sentences to be interpreted".

I will illustrate this procedure by using Iphigenia in Aulis (by Euripides, 5th century BC):

You may of course use as many "Words" as you want, but I find 3 of them to just accomplish one session. You may also notice how in some examples I use chunks of sentence: that makes it easier to combine them into a suggestion (yielding something like surrealist ► Cadavre Exquis [Wikipedia]), but it is bit harder to abstract from them.

But wait! let's proceed with order

2. RANDOM CARELESS READING — Now forget the Three-Words, and read through your study-text without a defined pattern, just as if you were not even able at reading. Your aim at this point is not to "understand", but to "observe". So let this action be rather physical: let your eyes cross the lines, going out of the page, back and forth at will accross the text, leaving sentences suspended, etc.

The "Method without Method" is all there, in this "non-activity" of pure observation without classification called "Contemplation" (ref. in particular ► Jiddu Krishnamurti [Wikipedia]), and it is right from this that spontaneously arises Analytical Thought; therefore with a typically Oriental comparison remember that —this phase is like boiling water for tea, it cannot happen faster even if we put the will to understand, every single particle of water will have to reach a suitable temperature before all the water can boil The "Attention without Intention is the Flame that heats water; and the Vapor that comes from boiling water is the Intuition that transforms Knowledge into Innovation - and this is instead Transcendent Thought However, since this way Attention is likely to remain too aloof anyway, then it is the case to implement a simple interaction with the text in a non-programmatic way – for example by looking for basic structural or phonetic similarities: no matter how much they make sense, but they do a lot. If you want, take note of the hints you used, so that you may easily recall the reasonments they triggered. You will discover that the more you are "childish", possibilist, disordered, weird – the better you enter the topic. This finally is the Associative Thought.

3. SUM UP WITH THE "THREE-WORDS" — When you feel that too many ideas are crowding in mind, then pause; and use the Three-Words as "Aggregators" by trying to give their combinations as many different meanings you can (see Table). Combining words together is a practical way to create suggestive ideas, which help to recall concepts; but to be honest I would like this to happen spontaneously during the process, and not mechanically.

For the same reason, don't risk a Burn-Out by setting the Three-Words and structure a "Conceptual Search" right away, and get rid of the nonsensical Phase-2: this may work with an occasional reading, but approaching this technique too systematically will make you tire quickly. I mean, the important thing is not distinguishing between "steps 1-2-3" (which I necessarily have to do here), but of being aware of what we are doing: Phase-2 is essentially exploratory as it is easier to focus on details, having a generalized knowledge before.

REPEAT — The secret of this technique is that each new group of Three-Words will offer a different way to interpret the text – a different "Point of view", each time finding different aspects of the same thing, increasing your knowledge of a topic.

This means that each new "Filter" will help you building a "Conceptual Model" so you will simply go on your own, looking for answers. Basically, the core of this survey is all here: Emancipation.

You will therefore realize that you are reading in a completely different way, so consider that you are only at the beginning of a new skill, and that you will need time to understand how it works. I personally obtain results only through a slow reading, though chaotic; but if you can do better, you surely do not need me.

In practice, this is about the conscious application of Spontaneity – in particular, of the active dimension of Receptivity – where, to the bad habit of forcing a Sequential-linear approach, we rehabilitate what is known in Eastern philosophies as "The Way of the Body", whose characteristic in this case, is a progressive structuring of Knowledge starting from spontaneous random exploration.

Which makes this attitude a "Non-Linear – Non-Method"

Studying for Emancipation THE STRATEGIC USE OF INDEFINITENESS. The main idea is that a "Logical Frame" helps us enter the topic and develop Questions for us to explore the text on our own. This happens because we have a tendency to interpret Random Forms according to known criteria (see the ► Gestalt Theory [Wikipedia]), so that I only need a few combinations of «rule/torment/woman» to sum up Iphigenia in Aulis.

It deals of the same phenomenon used in a suggestive way in Astrology, Politics and Religion especially, exploiting the tendency to bring indefinite descriptions back to "real" situations. As mentioned above (chap. 1), the Need for Stability is a physiological parameter of the mind and, in the case of suffering, it comes immediate trying to compensate personal expectations by seeing just "what we want to see" – but this only increases the dependence on everything upon which we project such "certainties".

My study system therefore tries to overcome this instinctive phase of "projection of a need", accustoming the mind to a more diversified attitude

A CREATIVE INTERPRETATION OF RULES. The ability to tackle a topic in a non-programmatic way can in fact, be the key to understanding it more effectively. So, any other kind of "Configuration" will work great as a Concrete Reference for Abstract Concepts, to break up the topic in our mind and be able to rework it – and in the place of the "Three-Words" with the function of Aggregators, we may also use Graphic symbols, Numbers, Groups of Letters and Sounds, Images, etc. according to the Topic.

In my opinion, the most immediate application of this system is therefore Semiology, as I show in ♦ The Non-Linear Language Learning Method [Wikipedia]

CREATING VIRTUAL MODELS. As I said above, this technique is just a creative way of applying the famous school adage "Read and repeat in your own words", avoiding however both piling up notes, or getting lost trying to keep everything in mind. The main issue is that, most of times, "Studying" cannot be translated into practice: so there has to be a way to enter the topic through sheer imagination. Once you understand this "trick", you get to manage the process simultaneously: Reading and asking questions, Reading and seeking answers.

This system is meant for creating targeted Questions for a progressive orienting during study itself; it is a simple though very powerful system because Questioning leads to creating Virtual Models, that is, hypothesis. Actually, this is a way to create a Dialogue with the Work and its Author, thus entering THEIR OWN "Model of Reality".

Since any Work is a "Transformation", imagine yourself asking the Author: — "How did you solve the question of the Transformation of the Matter?"

Telling Good Lies IPHIGENIA GOES TO THE DISCO-PARTY. So, the first "contemplative-associative" reading of Iphigenia in Aulis leads me to imagine the story: — A modern girl named Iphigenia, wants to go dancing with friends in a city called Aulis: she will therefore have a long discussion with her parents who do not want her to come back late, and above all they don't want her to go out dressed provocatively Is this the story? obviously not; but one thing is stacking a sequence of facts and descriptions, the other is manipulating a Mental Model until it matches the real representation; and I believe that the true meaning of "Emancipation" does not lie in doing "the Right Thing" immediately, but being able to freely express oneself and adapting the solutions to reality – a practice known in Design as "Continuous Prototyping".

Knowing how to make mistakes is a far greater skill than knowing how to obey, because there is no learning without creation

MAKING CHILDREN GROW UP. You may notice that the Association technique recalled in phase-2 is already well known in Mnemotechnics, as it creates unusual images making it easier to recall (eg. see ► video by Nelson Dellis [Youtube]). However, its using in this Method is very different – basically unstructured – aimed at a fluid, spontaneous "Analytic Primary Thought": a smooth transitioning from a "Undefined" state, to isolating "Elements and Relationships" accross the text. Thanks to this, increasingly specific Questions may be formulated.

If you are "childish" and "nonsensical" in this earliest approach, this is great; but if you do not go further to that level, your knowledge of the topic will comprehensibly stay "immature" as well

REWORKING IS JUST EVERYTHING. So we rather want to stimulate a "Conceptual Reworking" by promoting Short-Term Memory: we perform quick passages of a effortless, pleasant, exploratory, adaptive, associative kind of reading, then we reflecting on the impressions, until the elements begin to connect in Mind – possibly, in a way that "does not exactly follow the text".

— That is the point, transforming a inert Block of Informations, into a Creative Expression of our own; and this is achieved through the creation of Hypothesis and Questions – something that we make spontaneous by using Elements taken from that very Block of Informations; as studying does not mean "remembering", but somehow "predicting" the reasonments in that text.

In this way, Memory is not overloaded statically, but enters a continuous flow of exchange, facilitated by the natural tendency to alternate concentration with relaxation, therefore working with the spontaneous re-

emergence of memory impressions.

Consequently, selecting some Elements as "aggregators", we help Ideas at focusing a little better – which sounds like using catalysts in Chemistry

The Man who Wanted to Read Everything THE ANXIOUS FRAGMENTATION. The way I turn Iphigenia in Aulis into a modern story recalls a creative technique by ► Gianni Rodari ("Making Wrong Stories") [Wikipedia]. However, our aim here is not "alternative stories", but an alternative to an anxious approach. Actually, I personally am much more affected by a different tale

by Gianni Rodari (Novelle Fatte a Macchina. Una Per Ogni Mese – Novembre: I Giornali) – talking about a traveller who wanted to read a stack of newspapers, systematically by reading one page for each: the story ends with an expression of pity for that man and his paranoid method.

— The idea I am going to develop in this survey is that Multitasking cannot be ruled by such rationalized programs – which only comply with a materialistic obsession that unavoidably leads to fragmentation; but should be rather let to Intuition, and framed into a Project at a superior abstraction level.

THE POSITIVE VOID. This is where the "Non-Method" starts to make sense: a "soft" approach which goes the long way. This technique was developed with the aim of getting "interested" in something that: 1) is in huge amounts 2) we are not interested into, but we have to do it 3) is challenging – practically totally another language The overall Principle of this Method is that we get interested in anything we assimilate. This is not possible with a Notional approach: Knowledge and Linear Thought (therefore also any "Codified Method") may only be consequence of otherwise a confused behaviour, of blindfolded experiments, even of hopelessness – but always personal. If we always put the systematic way as an approach, no surprise that this creates the "Winner-or-Looser" society, who always need "to be judged" on their results, and never engaged in a Research.

In other words, this method is Self-Motivating as it aims at creating a "Positive Obsession", an involvement in a Project which replaces an anxiety

A Fractal Time-Management FEATURES OF THE INTUITIVE-FRACTAL METHOD. You will verify, that this system makes it for a revolutionary difference from a linear/sequential approach to studying; for example, these are some benefits related to the Associative-Intuitive aspect of the method: Improved Mnemonics: After days, by only referring to those three words, you will still remember a lot of details you just read randomly Global understanding: You may immediately grasp the basic concepts of a whole text, and practically don't need to pile up notes Intuitive Motivation: Intuition (chap.1) is a sudden suggestion to Change which comes from Focusing. The gradual deepening on a parts of that text, may therefore lead to an urge to changing topic, or even to feel in the mood to begin an always procrastinated task. So just do it This is instead about the Fractal aspect: Recursion: Three more elements may be collected from the same text in following times to have a "refreshed" approach, getting new details, reinforcing the previous ones in a different way Self-Similarity: After having worked on the whole text, and got an overview, you may then apply the same technique to single chapters, for a deeper level of details and understanding Fractal (in the meaning of Chaotic): Randomness appears to be an effective Problem-solving approach strategy in Nature, besides a playful one, to the exploration of an item, supporting learning as it keeps

attention up, while the Three-Words provide the primary scaffolding for memory Fractal (in the meaning of Modular): The Base-Pattern is made of Elements taken from within the Text, so actually it is a "Modular Representation of that Text". Hence, any reasoning based on those Elements, will still be an "Image" of that Text. In other words, we have taken the Tools to analyze an Object, from the Object itself

TIME-MANAGEMENT. So this means that if I have to read "10 articles on the same topic", I am free to consider them as a whole (rather than one by one, moreover favoring the Abstraction of an overall concept) and to deepen only whereas worthy.

— It should certainly be clarified that, like any skill, it must be understood – but even more assimilated, because only this allows for it to be applied appropriately to the situation, experimenting with variations and verifying its effectiveness

DISCOVERING FRACTAL THOUGHT. For example, it also means that instead of reading those "10 articles" in an orderly sequence, I can randomly pick one each time, and let this very fact to determine the greater or lesser knowledge of any of them. You will soon realize that even choosing randomly, you will always fall into the same elements: that is, you will be experimenting in first person, what in the Theory of Chaos are called "Strange Attractors".

THE STRATEGIC RANDOMNESS. The fractal aspect, actually, could be well figured with the image of a piece of iron being consumed by rust: — spots of rust start growing from random areas, and some could already be larger while others are just starting to develop; within some time their borders will join together and the whole subject will be digested!

The points where rust begins to form represent the Strategic Randomness, and smaller pockmarks that join the larger spots represent the effects of new approaches on the same text, that also create a Review of the previous studies.

3. WHEN INTUITION MEETS MULTITASKING

To be Consistent (or not To be) THE PROBLEM OF BEING DISCONTINUOUS. Being able to deepen a Topic implies therefore Continuity; however, we may experiment that going deep, may rather turn into an Intution to go after an urge, change topic, starting a gym session or whatever. This is perhaps the most controversial aspect of my Method, since common sense would rather suggest to stick on the same topic at least for a certain amount of time, closing out any "distractions".

OR BETTER, THE PROBLEM OF REPETITIONS. According to Neurology, the point at tissue is ► Repetition (by Eric Kandel) [Wikipedia] and of ► Pauses between Repetitions (R. Douglas Fields) [Wikipedia]. According to my studies on Dreams, it's rather about focusing on a Problem until it turns "into something else": who is right? the scientist or the poet?

Unfortunately, this is just a bad way to pose the question, which does not take into account the main issue: the Motivation to Learning

RESEARCH AND ENTHUSIASM. The aspect of the Repetitions detected by Neurology has an intrinsically mechanistic aspect that can certainly be exploited to advantage, but – be careful – not used as a "premise" to the activity of study. My speech in chapter 1 (see above ♦ The Fish-Man Syndrome) instead distinguishes, I hope clearly enough, between: — the Narcissistic Fear of Change: an Existential Anxiety based on an Obsession for an already "predetermined" solution ("the Salvation") that results in avoiding Problems, as these might open alternatives to that goal — and the Enthusiasm for Discovery which instead is sustained precisely thanks to Problems, since they are the gateway to Knowledge and to the development of Innovation strategies

ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY. This simply means that if deepening a Problem leads me to change topic/activity, I would probably just be presumptuous to fix it right away; while going after an Intuition I accomplished something more important for that moment; and also took a break to reorganize that very Problem.

The deep effect of Intuitivity cannot be forced inside the borders of a topic, but it's expressed by Change, so it is rather about Movement; and a sudden Intuition that destabilizes my predictions, can be legitimately said "effect" of that study session.

That is, I cannot state in advance what the solution of a problem would be, nor how much time will that take to me (I may well realize an overall vision, but details only come with time); so any bias in this activity may only result in limiting its potential, and be an expression of Performance anxiety – which is just the opposite thing — This is the Repetition for real: it is not the stupid repeating the lesson to memorize it, but the constant and prolonged study of a Question, its exploration from many points of view – its internalization.

INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS AND CHANGE. In terms of the Dream function as a "Problem to Solve", the Interpretation of Dreams is actually meant to break old patterns through an Impulse to Action – but precisely, this does not mean that the Problem at the origin of that dream is thus solved: likely, more passages have to be developed before I am able to see its different aspects.

PLAYFULNESS AND DISORDER. Most of this work just points to a social bias against "Playfulness", as an obstacle to "acceptable" results. However, without Intimate involvement there is no focusing, therefore no innovation; I instead believe that Playfulness acts as a natural and efficient timer, and that Priorities can be set according the same principle.

Actually, this whole system is a way to re-discuss priorities: there is a big difference between "Focusing", and "Stagnation" Moreover, Order is a consequence of Confusion, therefore a "Non Structured" approach to a study-text, naturally tends to a logic-sequential structuring – but adding the great perk of having attempted a personal organization of concepts that just puts me on the active side of comprehension.

"WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE". The "Three-Words" work therefore as a "Fantasy Play", a very practical way in my opinion to create some "Problems" through Random Configurations, when we face a new topic and we are just missing any Question to enquire on.

— In particular, the mental re-elaboration is now of an "associative" type, which activates the Imagination, creating Questions that do not necessarily follow the reasoning of a text, and put the scholar in a situation of Instability.

— Or rather, of social Instability: this is Audacity

🎭 Introduction to Multitasking COMPARING "BRAINSTORMING" AND PROTOTYPING. The idea of using a Chaotic state to achieve a Configuration, well known in the artistic practice, surely recalls the ► Brainstorming technique [Wikipedia] as a "disorganized expression of ideas, from which to select those most suitable for the solution of a problem": I therefore wanted (also for a need of originality) to underline the main difference from my system, according to which – in front of a unknown topic – it is advisable to create any representation of that problem (a Mental Model) by means of "elements randomly taken from that topic", so as to be able to direct an increasingly deeper investigation of that Model – which in a sense is a premise itself of Brainstorming.

Moreover, I specified that an "Associative-Intuitive study system may lead me to "break a habit" by acting impulsively in a apparently extraneous way to that problem, which definitively puts it out of a short-term Profit Strategy.

UNBALANCING TOO TIGHT AN ORBIT. Now, focusing on one only text will get you saturated within short, so that you will no more be able at recognizing details. A way to optimize this eventuality, is therefore the "Multitasking" approach, which among the others will bring the greatest benefit of a relativized point of view on the first subject, refreshing it.

To say the truth, even before the "Wild Multitasking" I am going to deal here, it simply deals of placing one more text beside, whose elements help us to fix the concepts of the first text (the "true" one) or anyway at finding infinite hints of survey, as many as the subjects you compare to. So, it once again deals on the application of Associative Thinking where anything can be "something else". The second text is therefore just a way I can "unbalance" a focusing that on the contrary is hampering me.

SUM-UP IN "FLASH-CARD" STYLE. Anyway, in case of more Topics to carry on (which is frequent), let's review all the notes with Three-Words for each topic as some ► "Flash-Cards" [Wikipedia], and let's be energetic. You will find that this "heating up" brings a strong ability to Abstraction that, at a certain point (and proficiency), give the impression of being "juggling with ideas" which is very particular. in any case, as it strongly implies Associative-Intuitive cognitive functions, it is very likely realizing a different path than what a topic seems to suggest – that is, we have entered a "non-linear" thought dimension that is meant to go out of the limits of a text-book: but this is an important issue which will be the topic of the next chapters.

A PROJECT FOR ADHD. So I often wonder this method would fit ► ADHD situations [Wikipedia],, in that it goes along their urge of changing, rather than trying to pin it down – while noting down the "Three-Words" may help in sticking with a subject left paused – since, more or less, an exaggerated multitasking/generalism is surely the personal problem from which this system comes from. Creative Time-Management (Hybridization) GETTING RID OF HOUSEWORKS. Multitasking is a great way to carry on duties, since Attention tends to dim, and change helps instead keeping it up; thus, having a concise system for keeping track of learning paths is surely a great help.

It can therefore be verified that the Three-Words are also suitable for boring tasks, such as Houseworks, so that through some "Three-Objects" from that task, these duties too can be interpreted in an unusual way and provide the impetus to action starting from what is a pure mind game.

✨ CREATING THE NEW. Actually I find, it's always better to stay consistent with the Topic in picking the random words, because mixing samples could make things more interesting, but also unreasonably more complicated, then less funny.

— Nevertheless, this idea of mixing topics (which I called "hybridization") shows extremely powerful, and it could be trasnformed into a good Time-management System: the Hybridization of Topics is a way to create a "Creative Challenge", that involves both the subjects into a "Project".

However, this requires more concentration on each of the two elements: the philosophical principle behind this technique is in facts, the formula 1 + 1 ⇌ 1 which means, that any innovation needs to be an expression of two identities – otherwise it deals on a annihilation of one of the two, which never produces innovation: so, where each one of the topics should be understood, before something new may come from them (see also my post ► God shakes a Storm on the Sea).

That is, what I otherwise would tend to approach in rather a mechanical and mnemonic ("scholastic") approach, may now become part of a Creative Multidisciplinary Project, in so that, in the above example, "Making order on the table" becomes a language exercise, or a different idea of storing, etc.

THE DESIGN OF A DESIGN. In the real circumstances anyway, there are shorter tasks and long-term ones, making rather difficoult to obtain some Guidelines of a Creative Project right off, while it is more likely that the idea comes after having explored the same Task on more days and through many "filters".

To be more precise, the principle of Enhancing each Identity implies, that the Hybridization of concepts is more appropriate within the same text first of all, in so that, from a process of breaking down an Topic into several subTopics ("One generates Many") we will obtain a Reorganization, that is a personal acquisition of the study subject which is "Learning" by definition.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF DOING. I personally love this technique of "Design of a Design", but I also experienced, that it is not compatible with carrying on too many projects at the same time, since it soon becomes hard to keep track of each process, being made of many topics, unless compiling a Database to find back each topic – or unless we intend it only its extemporaneous aspect, of an instinctive "Doing" as a consequence of a design activity: which is the problem that brings us to the very point of this survey.

The Zombie-Notes I must say, in any case, that a good way to record notes is not what I really wanted to achieve. Though now extremely concise, notes always imply a support, therefore, the need of managing that support – which is a kind of activity that tends to get clumsy in short time.

I rather feel that the purpose of all this should be a Continuous Flow of Thought, of an inquiring thought, so that's how Repetition really comes in as Creative practice.

I always asked to myself how could my Dreams require me to solve a new one everyday, while I barely could understand one only even in many years; but I often realized, that some of those dreams just pointed to the old sh*t, ie the dreams noted down in the days before, piled up in the wait to be solved – just the way I dreamt of Cannibal Zombies who pointed to the Surrealist projects (see above), along with any hoarding trend in general.

— Procrastination, and Bureaucracy, are a bit of the Great Evil in Dreams' philosophy: activity should be "NOW", as the purpose of any training is the assimilation of a principle, rather than getting a "benefit" out; Storing instead, implies an expectation of gain, therefore, an unsolved anxiety – it's Materialistic attachment, a fear of the unknown.

So I really prefer to intend the Three-Words as a temporary hint for a study session, and rather to complicate things a just a little up, by adding one more magic element I am going to refer of, in the next chapter. Because Tomorrow is always a new day, and it should be kept free for newcomings.

4. THE MYSTIC PROJECT

The Mystic Phrase

STUDY AND TRASCENDENCY. Now I have to admit, the best part is yet to come. The idea of composing a "weird sentence" with the Three-Words to manage the attention, can be fully compared with the practice of ► koan meditation [Wikipedia] inside Zen philosophy; nevertheless, while this keeps inside a topic, Mind will always be tempted to glorify the outcomes, once you find the learning thing is working for real.

HYPER-PROJECT: SOUL PROJECT. That's why I think the system should be integrated with a further Level of Abstraction, a hyper-project to which any other sub-topic should refer to, which I called the "Mystic Phrase", but with reference to "misty" (fuzzy): — The Mystic Phrase is a creative verbalization from the Deep-Self, that sounds totally out of any realistic planning, so that its interpretation is the real aim of the study activity, thus escaping the risks of Notionism, heading instead towards to practical applications of what we are studying.

Once again, it is not a matter of doing things "the right way", but of listening to the Self, and this system is a way for the Rational mind and the Emotional mind to speak a common language

THE MAGIC FORMULA. A Mystic phrase can be recalled through a "magic formula", such as: "I'd like to understand how to..." or "I'd like to create a..." and sound therefore like this: — "I'd like to Create a Person who is able to Fly" Now you have to interpret this "Misty Phrase" through your studies of Maths, Physics or Law; and according to your interpretations you will increasingly feel attracted by Paleornithology, or by Angels in Art, or by the development of Aeronautics – things you never thought of – as a hands-on field for your study subject.

GOOD LUCK! (WITH THE MORE FESTIVAL). The following one is therefore an updated example of the Creative Hybridization, where the Mystic Phrase will act as a Catalyzer to mix the Topics. From the Pattern above, it then begins a "Project Drafting" using Free Associations of ideas (Brainstorming), gradually aggregated in Intuitions and real Projects.

— So this system is aimed at stimulating Practice through something that comes "from me" – which I do not perceive as imposed, but as a personal expression which may even lead me to a Personal Path.

Reflecting on Past PAINTING WITH IDEAS. If you are curious and apply this Creative design technique, you may come to the inevitable question: "How long should a project last?", but the only problem to really ask is "What am I waiting for, to start it?"

— This research of mine is inherently experimental, as an attempt to formalize a method that actually cannot be codified. When we move from an intuition to its systematic application, this is the same that happens to artists when, after having by chance created an innovative work, they try to artificially repeat the "happy mistake" that allowed Change: I am not aware of a dream that does not remind me of this risk, I always fall in.

So I developed this idea of creating a Project that ignited the "Impulse to Action" just like interpreting dreams, but practically took me inventing another form of ► Fractal Expressionism, where I turn Study even, into an artistic activity: because Expressionism is about Action.

A DAY WITH FRIENDS. I actually think this is a very good method to wipe off Priorities and Emergencies in a relatively interesting way. We all know, however, that most of Tasks cannot be accomplished in one only moment, and I also pointed out that this technique may rather lead producing too many projects.

However, if I make use of Recursion, I just have to select my Priorities and combine them each day differently; and since I know that Intuition could make me start things I did not plan, it also makes a lot of sense to introduce "Something Done" beside a "To-do" item, so that "time lost" as well may contribute – which is not tiny a detail: we generally daydream, but seldom reflect about past actions, while the greatest part of Education and of Psychoanalysis is rather about reflecting on Past Experiences.

LIFE ENDS AT MIDNIGHT. Now some wrap-up. First and foremost, no matter for how many detailed "steps" I may define, this Learning System is aimed at the "Sublimation of Matter": — Intuition is a form of Trascendency which makes me see a Relation where there was not any before; so it is unpredictable by definition, but mainly it is about the steps to make that Idea ("Strategic Thinking").

Unfortunately, we often idealize a Successful situation, due to being conditioned by Expectations and fearing of Change; that's why I adopted this short rule for myself: "Life ends at midnight", do not pile and mess up for those who are coming tomorrow, rather try making a useful synthesis.

COME TO ME. So, while it is said a lot about Artists and Innovation, I generally prefer to explain Intuition by mean of Athletic training:

Practicing makes me see I could perform an upper skill, so I try to build the steps to get to that point each time more automatically: then it is right this "chasing" to build the competency I wanted to reach Therefore, in order to achieve the "trascendental dimension" of Intuition, I have to heat up some working Material through Study, thus creating an Abstract Model which allows me trying new configurations (see also my post ► Archetype); Failure notoriously has a great part in this process (called "Prototipation"), but the real point is that, in the attempt of transforming Matter, I am actually changing Myself.

— That is, Intuition creates a "Positive Void" that makes me attracted towards a Higher Level of Complexity, helping me to create (and diversify) a competence, overcoming possible oppositions to Change.

THE SYSTEM. As for the references to Religion as Path of Diversification (see above ♦ On Christian Religion), this concept of "Positive Emptyness" is to all effects my idea of "God" as Non-Existence – that is, as a "Motivationwithout-Motivation" for a path of experimentation and growth, aimed at expanding and transforming schemes: since the only rule that never changes inside a dynamic system is Change itself.

That is, "Believing in God" is a dynamic fact that coincides with the constant questioning of one's own abilities that comes from the confrontation with th New; and if every Symbol of dreams is the projection of my Dependence – a Fetish to chase in order to please a tyrantic Feeling of Guilty (to have a "non-punishment" back) – then this "motivational" Non-God is created only as soon as I "guess" it as a "Challenge to improve myself", and it coincides with the System to which I am now devoting those same Strategies which, rather than eternally blocked by the Anxiety of Survival, now can develop into new models.

DO AS I DO. In fact, an Imitative Method (► Imitation [Wikipedia]) is a substantial part of Learning, which leads us to repeat the solutions already tested by others, which spontaneously tend to stabilize into Models; but if I even undergo an Affective Blackmail, this blocks my ability to rework them and they become Fixations. Dreams are a way of recalling those ancient Strategies.

We therefore come to the conclusion that Dreams have ESPECIALLY a "literal" meaning - which at some point seems the most sensible thing on this mysterious topic: since they are "Containers of Themselves", let's try and read this way my dream from the first chapter, as "Simulation Exercise".

— "I am the Dream – the Representation of a Problem of yours: an alien invasion brought a virus causing people turn into vampires, rescue logistic is obsolete and inefficacious. How would you solve me?"

The Wings of Fantasy A SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY. Therefore since 2007 I worked on a "Superior technology" to get rid of "Epidemics of Anxiety"; and I built a "Flying machine" fueled by words, to explore "Virtual Worlds" – that is to create Simulations out of a Block of Informations: it does not deal on a real "method", but of some "principles" meant to ignite a Higher Energy State of Mind as a support to creating Models: a bit like dreaming...

My Dreams taught me that Fantasy needs some Rules, but also, that too much relying on Rules is the fear of more complex situation. In fact, since the only Rule in a dynamic system is Change, then any Pattern can only be temporary, and codifying a Set of Rules is necessarily dynamic a process, based on experience – that is, on Action (not on Outcomes). The Elements of this system are then oriented to an interest in the Problem as an activity "on its own": • The Three Words act as "Transitional Objects" to shift from a Material representation of an idea, to its Abstract dimension • The Hybridization of Concepts brings infinite points of view onto a certain subject, and helps creating focused Projects; moreover, in its "multitasking" application keeps Attenction in a dynamic state which allows concepts better to consolidate • The "Mystic Phrase" makes for a ► Averted Vision [Wikipedia] applied to Thought, since it helps me focusing on my Priority without being focused in it – that is avoiding that anxious projetion that makes me unable see things "as they are"

SEEING SHAPES IN THE CLOUDS. It deals, clearly, not really of distint "mechanisms", rather of some aspects of a Fractal Recursion – that is, a logical-geometric model for the "Interpretation of Reality", perhaps the most akin to Mind functioning: all this process actually is like "Seeing Shapes in the Clouds"; and the way Dreams form must be a similar process, though immensely more complex.

Therefore, once a "Real-life" Project (and no more a "Mystic" one) will be the Conceptual Framework for that topic, my approach to the study material will be completely different, and these "tricks" will no longer be needed, if your thought is now flying high.

6. CONCLUSION

Keeping a Balance Between Disorder and Order We have seen that Motivation is the main unavoidable aspect of Knowledge, determining its Creativeevolutionary aspect (Continuous Prototyping) or Static-egocentric (Anxious Homeostasis). However, both of these attitudes have in common a "Project" which the more internalized it is, the more determined will be the effort for knowledge: exploratory-relational in one case, essentially cumulative and competitive in the other.

THE POSITIVE OBSESSION. Unfortunately, over the years, I have realized that I am exactly in the middle of these two poles of professional development, lost in an anxious spiral of unproductive changes; luckily, however, my tendency towards artistic expression has allowed me to work on the problem not only in a more abstract way, but – as a "Surrealist" – also to deepen the phenomenon of Dreams and the "Problem of Solving Problems", so that I worked on a study method that was inspired by those mechanisms.

The main principle is in fact the continuous creation of a Guide-Project at any scale of size (from a text to a set of texts, to a set of projects etc.) so that the activity is not of a mnemonic, but of a creative type – that is, up to structuring something that I have called "Positive Obsession": feeling involved in a dream as it happens in adolescence, in which we are not protagonists, but participants of a System – then is called Vision.

ALIENS ARE ALWAYS LURKING. So the problem is not so much "Multitasking", but rediscovering an Associative Thought ability and interpret different areas as "points of view" for a better understanding of a Priority ("Conceptual mirroring"): Intuition then, from an apparent reason for distraction and discomfort, becomes again that natural function that helps to keep the dynamism of Attention.

This is the importance of having a General Project – and, if that weren't enough, an even more general one It is therefore not a question of "putting away for later", but of knowing how to reintroduce new ideas into a production cycle – in practice, knowing how to metabolize the Unpredictable. So far, this is the best idea I have had for managing many interests; however, as any good Designer would do, I do not eliminate Bureaucracy together with many good ideas (for the terror of a bad dream); but I make sure that even the "surplus" projects, set aside, help me to diversify every day, above all by picking them up "at random".

The Programmer of (Their Own) Future I mean, let's take the example of Coding as a new compulsory subject in Primary school: compared to other subjects, it has certainly a much more professional value; but then we also know that Artificial Intelligence will raise the threshold of technological competence to such a level, that it is completely unthinkable that such professionalism derives from the perception of one of the most desperate social competition ever seen (precisely because of technological unemployment): study Programming or I won't love you any more.

What skills does a Programmer of the future need? First of all, Strategic Thinking, which develops through Playfulness as a structuring activity starting from the Indefinite ; and then certainly the ability to interact with the largest possible number of areas of knowledge; and in my opinion an educational method immensely devalued compared to its potential in this sense, is Scenography whose only name already includes most of the known pedagogical theories: Design and Planning Team-Working and Budget Analysis Music, Dance and Choreography Arrangement of the text and Acting Carpentry, Tailoring, Cleaning of Laboratories etc After all, even Programming can be understood as a form of Design; I mean, the important thing is not so much the age, but the involvement into things. I therefore wanted to develop a method that refers as much as possible to the enthusiastic aspect of Playfulness, which serves not only to face professional updates with less suffering, but above all to return to seeing problems as a door always open to personal evolution.

INTRODUCTION TO THE "NON-METHOD" THE PHILOSOPHY OF NOT-ACTING. This survey deals with a "non-linear" study method, where we make use of Disorder to accomplish learning, by means of a contextual structuring of learning itself – a study which creates its own parameters by the time it develops; and it therefore aims at being a representation of the "Method without Method", mainly carried on by Oriental Philosophy, especially Taoism and Tantrism (as far as I remember).

— The secret of this philosophy is in fact that of "Not Beginning", that is, what is called Contemplation – observing without acting (see ► Wu Wei [Wikipedia]): for this reason the mind will begin to relate to an Object the way it finds the most suitable, rather forcing a result according to a known pattern.

In this sense, we could say that "learning" itself results into limiting the ability to learn ("Fixation")

THE FREUDIAN METHOD OF FREE CONCATENATIONS. As said in my ♦ main article, my study system, however, derives from the Interpretation of Dreams – especially since I realized that Dreams seemed to give me informations on "how to interpret Dreams" thus developing "Problem-Solving Skills".

By using a stratified-symbolic language, Dreams refer to specific everyday situations, where some habits show up (eg. the tendency to piling up specific objects) that hamper the "creative workflow".

— Born many years earlier in a Associative way, mainly in response to Anxieties; during time they become "unconscious habits" consisting in some Assumptions in dealing with Reality, preventing creative transformation, and personal evolution with it; but thanks to Associations themselves, those old schemes can be brought up to Consciousness again and trigger a change of habits through a sudden Intuition.

GETTING USED TO CHANGE. A very long and diversified work therefore, from which I deduced that Dreams are a very precise way to re-establish a "natural" attitude to deal with problems – where Dreams actually pose themselves as "the Problem of Solving Problems" – and learn a much less schematic attitude, I therefore called "Associative-Intuitive and Fractal".

— The lesson of Dreams is that there is no "one-size-fits-all" solution to problems, because in a dynamic system, the only rule that never changes is Change itself.

THE DESIRE OF STABILITY. As a consequence, Dreams and Oriental Philosophies agree on the need of being able to look at things "without bias".

Presuppositions are an expression of the fear of wasting energies – energies that we will not therefore make available for a creative restructuration of experience (but rather to keep the situation as it is), thus reduced to Notionism and to a Logical-sequential approach, which reflect an unconscious Desire of Stability, and which unavoidably turn into a tendency to Hoarding.

— The fact is that Stability is a consequence (rather than a target) of a reworking activity: that's why "Motivation" is the real point of any Theory of Learning, as it makes the difference in terms of being able to overcome the "resistance to Change", practically, the desire to deepen the knowledge of an object.

DARK MATTER. When we face a Study-Text or a Problem for the first time (just like a Dream) they are "indecipherable", incomprehensible – they are "Dark Matter", a compact block of informations and properties, which most of times we only approach with a pre-estabilished order; but, rather than a systematic attitude, first of all is needed the ability to identify Elements and Internal Relations to build a "Model".

A "Linear" approach is such, that if you miss the base, everything above will fall down. A Web of connections instead, makes it for a broken "node" to be reached in more than one way, and "reactivated", without the whole system to depend on that element My Three-Words Method is therefore just a "trick" to reconcile Spontaneity (at the base of Analytical skills) with the Intentionality required in our technological society continually to stay updated.

🎇 FRACTAL COMPLEXITY. Trying to applying this tool in a "systematic" way will result therefore in a contradiction: you should instead realize it as a "consequence" of a non-linear approach, where you take advantage of the chaotic situation you yourself created by separating elements of a Block by mean of Contemplative analysis.

As I am going to show, this type of "soft" approach will spontaneously develop increasing levels of complexity, that is, we work in a Logical "Fractal" dimension, which perhaps is the one that best represents how our mind really "perceives" – then structures Reality.

— In particular, by randomly selecting the Three-Words as "Search Keys" from the Study Material, we will obtain some Analytical Tools such that they have "the same shape of their container" – that is, they are Modules of that

object; but right for this reason, those tools will simultaneously serve as a Primary Scaffold for reorganizing the elements we deduce through Analysis – however, in a way that tends to be autonomous with respect to the logic of that text: that is, we learn through Continuous Modelling (rather than by "mirroring").

HOLISTIC USING OF COGNITIVE ABILITIES. That is, we continuously shift through different and complementary cognitive functions – such as Random exploration, Analysis and Search of configurations, Simulations and Formulation of hypothesis – which are generally used separately, since too often the Purpose of the study DOES NOT COINCIDE with its Object...

I WANT SHOWCASING KNOWLEDGE. Perhaps the greatest problem that Language Learners have to cope with, is the assumption: "I want to learn". You know that you are much more motivated when you spent a holiday in a foreign country and you had a good time and met love. After the enthusiastic beginning, however, Grammar and Exercises make it hard to go on, and the task generally passes downrated in the priority list.

This is because when we pass from a Global-intuitive approach, to a Sequential study method, we also are making a fundamental psychological shift: — We pass from a playful learning attitude, focused on the Activity itself (I am interested into the "language"), to something that we suppose be "the Right Way" to achieve a Result and showcase it to "the Adult Society" (which I called Tributing: I am interested into "your opinion" on me).

BEST ENEMIES OF OURSELVES. Now this is no more "Language learning", but a subtle Blackmail, part of the social phenomenon called Comformism (see ♦ The Fish-Man Syndrome in my main article): — When someone "wants" a result, Oriental philosophies (and Dreams) state that this is a Mirroring Illusion, because the action is concluded "within the Subject" as it is meant to confirm its borders – an expression of fear and dependence which is the base for Personality Disorders: our targets are not meant to Personal improvement, but to show that we deserve "Protection".

As a consequence, unless our motivation to reaching a result is really strong, or of being possible to skip the obstacles on the track, the prospect of an "effort" will put us against the toughest resistence: Ourselves.

STUDYING IS LOVING. When there is no room for Intuition and personal attempts, no time for Observation and no issues to understand, then it cannot be called "learning" any form. To achieve an authentical knowledge, actually, we should be master of our personal dimension: so my method is not oriented to targets, but to the Learning Experience itself.

The following is an attempt to activate this mental attitude: we actually overcome that fear when we do things out of crazyness and, that said, love.

🍎 LEARNING A DIFFERENT WRITING SYSTEM A SENSE OF DISTANCE. Let's imagine we have to learn completely unknown a language, based on completely different an alphabet or writing system. What the "sequential" method would suggest?

— We learn the alphabet, we learn to read it and then get some basic syntax to express simple sentences In this approach, there is simply no room for Exploration; and even if the mechanical effort will leave important traces in memory, there will always be a sense of "distance": much better to be thrown in the very crowd and have to speak that language right off.

IN THE MIDDLE OF BABEL. So "Being in a Messy Crowd" is the principle I try to call and obtain a personal acquisition; let's imagine that the following one is the text we have to learn. At the moment we do not have a translation, and at the moment it does not matter even.

CASUAL SELECTION OF THE THREE-WORDS The Three-Words make up a Configuration through which we will afterwards may "restructure" the free exploration of the text – that is, they make for Aggregators of scattered concepts.

— Do not either bother worry about how you choose Random Elements, as any element within a system is always part of that system (Modular Logics) – so also Words, Sounds, Symbols, Images, etc.

CONTEMPLATIVE-RELATIONAL READING. Let's put aside the ThreeWords for now; instead let's start a "contemplative" exploration of the text – spontaneous, curious and pleasant – letting it gradually turn into a search for Similarities and Relationships autonomously by bridging the Elements that emerge, just being careful not to turn it into a perfunctory process.

Indeed we realize how the powerful Associative Thought makes this Modeling without effort.

— In this phase it is very important to train Short-Term Memory: so let's remember every now and then, to close our eyes and mentally reorganize our operations. At first, however, it will be difficult to remember anything more complex than simple "impressions".

In any case, by spending time in this exercise, your mind is slowly "taking the shape" of that language, and will soon make you feel being already able to speak it. This concept comes from Yoga as far as I know, it is called "samyama", which is actually very close to the instinctive mechanism of Imitation – and here comes in again your holidays buddy: for the animal brain, Finding Patterns is much more natural an attitude than Reading row by row.

LEARNING WITHOUT EXPLOITING MEMORY Let's try instead making this process a continuous "workflow", no interruption: which is then like speaking already that language, rather than just piling up terms. The

Associative Thought makes it very smooth.

REORGANIZE ELEMENTS USING THE THREE-WORDS. Without waiting too long, let's take back the Three-Words on a sheet of paper, and rearrange the Elements through Chains of Associations: you will realize that your mind is able to remember MUCH MORE and longer, and that we can ourselves structure our own study path (Self-Motivation) thanks to the Intuitive Thinking: — Initially we will try to stay in line with each Word, but then everything will tend to blend leading us to increasingly global considerations, concluding the address for the next repetition (eg. maybe we did not get a clear distinction between some two letters) and so on this way.

INCREASING THE LEVEL OF COMPLEXITY. In a process of "fractal" growth of knowledge, the Groups we defined starting from simple Elements, will be reduced more and more to "Elements" in turn (eg groups of letters, stems and endings): in this way we will be able to identify increasingly complex structures.

CONCLUSION This cycle of steps serves one simple thing: reflecting on knowledge . Knowledge that is not reworked and condensed is wasted time. In this way, instead, we are not only consolidating notions, but – autonomously by structuring our study path – we also act on our self-esteem: this is in fact a self-motivating method, because learning itself "calls" us to develop an always increasing competence.

ALL KNOWLEDGE IS "FOREIGN LANGUAGE". By using this method you can learn anything, since it provides such a natural and progressive learning, that no more "too complicated topics" will exist.

— In a certain sense we can even conclude that "everything is Language" – that every single field of human knowledge is a "Foreign Language" with its own Signs, a specific Terminology and Concepts; but increasingly familiar each new cycle of reworking.

And do not forget that if you do not create Disorder you will not have your Order

🌞 THE MODERN PHILOSOPHY OF DISORDER. So this is how, thanks to my artistic studies on the Shape of Clouds, I too entered an avant-garde current of Research trying to make Chaotic Motions a universal key of interpretation – in Cognitive Sciences too; so I believe that having come on a publication with my same title ( ► Language Learning from the Perspective of Nonlinear Dynamic Systems (Peltzer-Karpf, Hohenberger [ResearchGate])) may be a good omen.

0. INTRODUCTION This is the last part of a research developed on the Interpretation of Dreams as Fractals.

The first part, the ♦ The Three-Words Study Method, was about the problem and the limits of "notional" learning: therefore I defined the features of a "self-structuring" study technique which facilitates the analysis and virtualization of a text, supporting the study activity in a creative way.

I then added ♦ The Non-Linear Language Learning Method, to give a more practical idea of applying a "Fractal Non-Method".

In this part I will talk more about Dreams as "Recursive Functions" – in particular, why the "Syntax" of dreams is, at the same time, its "Message" of creativity.

1. MECHANIZING INNOVATION

Mechanizing Innovation THE NATURAL TREND TO STEREOTYPE. Learning requires experimentation and verification; but also requires initiative and diversification, which are typically human characteristics – that is, relative to the Agent of that knowledge. However, there is a tendency to believe that, for it to be functional (at solving problems), Knowledge must remain unchanged: thus the value of the Agent is often underestimated, indeed forced to pre-established models (Stereotypes).

As mentioned in the main article, this occurs due to a natural narcissistic tendency linked to the Perception of the Self – to the "fear of losing one's own boundaries" facing the Unknown. In other words, "Experimentation" becomes a simple "repetition of patterns", and this phenomenon can probably also be explained by the physical principle that the energy of a system always tends to the state of minimum expenditure

ASSIMILATING SCHEMES. Learning, on the other hand, has a strong component of receptivity to Change, as it is based on Intuition – a thought that creates a connection between elements that, until then, were separated; which therefore presupposes, that "studying" means first of all understanding a reasoning the way it is explained, thus retracing the gradual construction of the relationships that make up that Theoretical Model; so we can possibly experiment with its variations – especially whereas that Model proved to be lacking.

Furthermore, this principle does not only apply to Axiomatic Logic (strictly sequential reasonments), but also to Art and to Athletics, as they too are based on schemes that are assimilated and diversified in response to more personal matters.

MODELS AS SYSTEMS. Therefore, in order to be able to reconstruct a "Model", you must first identify the Elements that compose it, then understand their Relationships. In reality, however, there is not much difference, because, just as the "Relationships" are some "elements" themselves of a model, the "Elements" are in turn made up by a set of "relationships".

Which ultimately means, that an "Element" is a Model which then became part of an even larger "System of Relationships" (let's think for example to the developments of Cosmology) We conclude then, that Innovation is that further phase of Learning in which a theoretical Model is "expanded" with a new element, or "connected" to another System, thus creating a "new" Model.

We know, however, that this "qualitative leap" is anything but trivial, and that before learning to walk we fall several times.

CREATIVITY AND THE HONOR OF DEATH. The "Three-Words Method" therefore wanted to solve the problem, whether is it possible to "mechanize Innovation": – the answer was a bit of Yes, because we can use Indefiniteness to activate a cognitive function particularly prone to Fantasy (but also to Delusion); and a bit of – indeed definitely No, because what is "New" is unpredictable by definition, and is closely linked to the concept of Death/Boundaries of the Self.

So not only is Creativity a prerogative of Living Beings, but it will always remain a strictly existential question of confrontation with everything that is unknown – the confrontation with "Dark Matter" – therefore with the daily puzzles and with the inevitable Struggle to solve them: something which is very well represented by the phenomenon of Dreams.

The Eyes Bigger than the Stomach SELF-DECEPTION. These arguments of mine derive precisely from a continuous study of my own dreams, since I understood that they were a "feed-back" for my day before, for the way in which some of my unconscious assumptions were followed by certain daily habits related to planning my future – problems expressed for example by a dream like the following: — "I was keeping my Garden Gate open, using the City-library Card" This image finally referred to my "narcissistic projection" (the anxiety of survival) leading me to an excessive amount of reading; but when Excess comes from an anxiety, it can only aggravate the problem, because it prevents all concentration, therefore all development; and in fact, this is a typical "self-deception", supposing of being able to "deceiving Time" thus solving the Problem of Change.

FETISHISM. The problem is obviously not that of "loving Culture too much", but that, in general, we tend to set an image of ourselves onto any Object of real life; so that, thanks to the "projects" based on it, we guarantee the continuity of ourselves in the future, as being able to see ourselves in the future helps to overcome the anxiety of death.

This attitude towards Material Reality is specifically called "Fetishism" and is a form of attachment that leads to a more or less problematic relationship with those Objects – be they books or whatever.

DEPRESSION. The impossibility, which comes with excess, of being able to "understand a Model" and to innovate it, on the contrary, it leads to a sense of incompetence and demotivation, therefore inactivity, up to health problems.

Depression is closely linked to the image of one's creative inability, or rather, when a professional competence is not perceived as an expression of our own's (for example, is a known effect of "mobbing" on the workplace) Dreams then are meant to push us to rework the stereotyped relationship with those Objects, that is to overcome the "Mental Blocks" through the awareness of certain unconscious habits and of their real meaning.

How to Get Diamonds CREATING CHANGE. This "overcoming" can be very well activated with Freudian analysis (using free concatenations of associative thoughts) or with any other system that imposes a concentration on the Symbols, since this process will have the ultimate effect of motivating an Impulse to Action that breaks an old pattern – a fracture that, as happens with atomic bonds, releases an ancient captive energy.

Dreams take up ancient Creative strategies never more reworked, "frozen" in memories, which manifest themselves in "stereotyped" habits, the real meaning of which has now been forgotten

PROTOTYPING. Consequently, Interpreting Dreams is a personal activity that requires time, but above all the possibility of immediately putting a new idea into practice ("Prototyping"); instead, asking someone else to do it, has a much more relative utility, because that "genuine" impulse to Action is the very purpose of the analysis: training Intuition, thus generating Renewal.

"Prototyping" means that something may work, or it may not; the problem of Fetishism is that instead we expect that Model to work any time, or also, that we would engage in a Project only if we are sure that it will work – an anxiety that brings for example Undecidedness or Sadism (Sadism is the opposite of Cooperation)

SURREALIST POEMS. I had in fact invented a rather amusing way of interpreting dreams – the "Surrealist Poems" – which consists in writing a dream in the form of rhyming poetry: where, however, the rhyme must be meaningful and original, so that we are forced to reflect well on the details and on the logical sequences of our dream, in order to be able to readjust its description to get a good rhyme.

Starting from that one, we will write some more rhyming poems, making each line the synthesis of two in the previous one: at the end of this radioactive halving you will get a diamond

REVIEWING PAST MODELS. From this type of activity, I therefore understood that the analysis of dreams meant to me a therapeutic exercise to learn a more general "Study Method" oriented to Action and Innovation, rather than to a "demonstrative" Knowledge, useless and specious.

But precisely because each Dream Symbol is a re-enactment of Strategies once thought about resolving specific events in our life (just think how Notionism actually served to overcome school exams), Dreams are a "manifestation of themselves" just because "of Ourselves": therefore, opening up to Dreams means (trivially) having an inner dialogue.

USING PROBLEMS AS A SOLUTION. Consequently, as already said, in Dreams we must always detect the two Aspects of the message, that of "Risk" and that of "Solution" by means of the Risk itself: — Alarm signal: a certain tendency to Attachment is causing an "Accumulation" (then, the risk of creative Blockage), since in that Object we tend to see our Stability (finally, all the Symbols refer to "Breast Milk").

— Solution: if I study the meaning of that Symbol in my personal history, I rebuild the "Model" of that reasoning and I can thus activate a dialectical-pragmatic overcoming of the Stereotype.

So, my dream – "Keeping my Garden Gate open with the City-Library card" – is not suggesting me to refusing "Books and Courses" (since I am not able to manage them), but rather to get even more confused by broadening my Interests, for me to face the very problem, and consciously rework the idea of Learning – which many years after lead me to develop a "Non-Linear Study Method" This, therefore, does not mean "changing history", but changing the way of looking at it, and using Problems as a tool for personal evolution.

THE FEAR OF TIME. Indeed, by saying "You are exaggerating with cheap books", my dream indicates how to solve that situation in the meantime: — "Dreams is Self-knowledge that costs you nothing. Keep your Gate open to me" That is, "Accept the Challenge" of interpreting Dreams: "Spend more time in Reworking Concepts", because haste (Narcissistic Fear of Time) will take you nowhere.

If I learn to behave this way with Dreams, then I will learn to do it also with problems in general, and I will be open to Change

The fact is, how can dreams compose meaningful images, is chilling complex; and along so many years I don't think I have ever dreamed of the same story twice. How is this possible?

2. THE COSMIC VIBRATION

The Syntax of Dreams THE RECURSIVE REPRESENTATION OF ITSELF. This type of reasonment originated, as mentioned, from my ► artistic study of Clouds, an issue I frequently dreamt of during my ► Surrealist period (1996-1999)). In this way I could match the concept of "Fractal/Recursive Geometry" with that of "Stratification of Dreams Symbols" (by ► Sigmund Freud [Wikipedia], who makes the example of Archeology).

Noting moreover, that some symbolic events of my dreams seemed to represent themselves in real life "in the same way, but in different forms" (thus remembering the Ancient Greeks' idea of Destiny) I deduced that the events represented by Dreams were based just on the same logic that we use to understand Reality.

That is, no matter how "illogical" it may seem, it is always possible for the Rational mind to decipher a dream and understand what it has to be understood I therefore realized a more comprehensive concept of "Recursive Logic" which allowed me to "accept" the possibility that Dreams actually referred "to themselves in the act of representing themselves": — "I am the Dream: I am like the City-Library of your Memories, let me enter your Garden"

INSENSITIVE TO LIFE. But what must be understood by Dreams? it must be "re-established a Balance". Anxieties overloads Rationality which, from a function of "Measure and Choice", becomes an omnipervasive and paranoid monster that needs to defend itself from any alternative to what it has already planned, in order to ensure its own Survival: that is, we tend to "identify ourselves" with our ability to choose, and this makes us insensitive to everything else.

THE SYNTAX OF DREAMS. Of course, we all are able to say such phrases; Dreams, on the other hand, are very precise, and relie on a well-defined Syntax which is none other than the Flow of Life Energy.

In particular, the "Form of Dreams" coincides with the "Message" itself We will in fact discover that Dreams conform precisely to the most indefinite and universal Structure ever, such abstract, that one would even think it the structure of Reality: popularly known above all as "Cosmic Vibration" (see also ► The String Theory [Wikipedia]), I have called it "The Rainbow Serpent" or more simply "The Water Cycle".

Communicating the Communication THE DAY BEFORE DREAMS. This is why I pretend to speak in a general way. There are probably people who dream in black and white, or people who dream of situations that are completely indefinable from the point of view of material life – I don't know that; my teenage dreams were so incredible, that I was even making an artistic career out of them, but in the years they became less showy; yet, after so many years, those images still may give me new ideas – unluckily however, only generalizations, because I can no longer relate them to a specific circumstance of those distant days.

— Dreams ALWAYS indicate something referring to the day before; or in any case, something that is developing in those days. Otherwise, as mentioned, it will be difficult to identify where a problem "materially" shows up; at most, interpreting old dreams will provide a general principle, philosophically beautiful, but will not have the pragmatic effect they wanted to obtain.

"I WANT! I WANT!". In short, Dreams tell us that somewhere there is an Emotional Blocking, a "Fixation". There is always a tendency to Blocking, whether you like it or not, one day we will die. How are we preparing for that moment, everything we do depends on that idea: Do I want everyone to remember me? or, Do I want to fulfill all my wishes before I die? and above all – "I want"?

Whoever speaks saying "I want" is the material boundary of our "Identity", what can exist as such, which consequently naturally aspires to Perpetuity, and opposes Resistance to Change.

LIKE PUPPETS. However, Dreams help us to develop Intuition, and Intuition goes beyond the border of Identity, because it is the vision of something "that does not yet exist" – a moment of transcendence which, anyway, is a normal fact.

Indeed the pure banality of the irreplaceable nature of Life, with respect to the idea that Artificial Life can be created; honor and burden that comes from the very reality of things that we are here to leave our place (and our creations) to someone else.

We inevitably tend to expectations, and these however "condition" us; and if these expectations are even the result of blackmail and violence in childhood, we no longer resolve these conditions, because they are closely linked with the Fear of not being Protected, which will make us act like puppets in adulthood.

— Life does not want puppets, it wants initiative and experimentation, sacrifice and exploration, and above all LOVE which is the pleasure of dedicating oneself to something without knowing where it will take us: this is following our Intuition.

COMMUNICATING COMMUNICATION. Intuition is precisely an act of love for life, it is an attempt – indeed only a small step, which however opens us to new horizons. Art is the tool we developed to transmit this Principle of Change among us in Society, to convey the enthusiasm for experimenting with the new, that is to "inspire" an action that breaks habits.

The message of Art is in fact "Communicating Communication", communicating the importance of creating new connections – both among us in Society and with the Environment – therefore to raise the level of interaction and the creation of new "Models".

– "Increase the Level of Complexity" is the message of Dreams, of Art and of Communication in general, to counteract the natural tendency to Stereotypes

IT IS NOT ENOUGH "LOOKING" AT ART. There it is, Dreams are then a "Form of Art" that we create for ourselves, to "inspire" us to broaden the field of problems and generalize new Models of Thought.

The fact is, that Art is not only "beautiful to look at", but it should be appreciated in a contextual way to the historical period of reference – being written in a "Code" that we cannot pretend to understand "naively" arguing that Art should be seen "as it is", only to avoid the effort of changing point of view.

The same thing is a Dream: it is not enough to "look at it", instead, our mind has made a great effort of reorganization to produce it and say something important, but we REGULARLY do not go beyond the "Beautiful Surface" – I myself, for example, I used to paint them, so that I could obtain a certain social success, until I realized that this fact was a kind of self-cannibalism.

WITHOUT BIAS. Dreams instead want to teach us their point of view: a point of view so deep in the Mind that no conditioning has ever reached them, a language that only with the attitude of a Child – who has no prejudices – you can understand it.

In this "artistic representation of myself" therefore, I (the Dream) will try to convey to you the idea that Life should not be hindered, but let flow through you; so I will try to explain where and why you are opposing, and through which actions. Then you will understand that it is better to free yourself from those habits and to be aware of the assumptions at their origin.

A Whole Personal Mythology

GEOMETRIES MADE OF SYMBOLS. From the analysis of thousands of dreams (each day since 2007; my Readers are lucky because I am a very problematic person) I then deduced a "Recurrent Configuration" that, I'm sure, only someone who does a personal-focused job like the one I did, could deduce.

— In Dreams, there are "Geometries" that correspond to precise situations of our daily life, so that the "Alert Messages" will rely on these Geometries – which are in fact the Symbols themselves. That is, these Geometries are associated with Colors, Physical Elements, Natural Places or even Social Institutions, according to our "Private Dictionary".

DON'T DEPEND ON OTHERS. This "Private Dictionary" then, as said by ► Carl G. Jung ("Collective Unconscious" [Wikipedia]) may share a lot with other people who grew up in the same context – it is just however very wrong to ignore the personal situation, relying on the interpretation of that Symbol written by who knows who.

I should then say that I am against the various "Dictionaries of Dream Symbols", because they would prevent anyone from working on their own memories (developing the ability to "look without prejudice"); but if it is a well-made book, then it is equivalent to an Art History book dealing with symbology with an historicalcultural value – but, beware! – not psychoanalytic In fact, I would like to emphasize that Dreams themselves insist on the idea of "Using Symbols to trace back own Memories" (see above, my Dream represents itself as a "City-Library"), since the final meaning of the question is Emancipation through an Instinctual Creativity, not through Cumulative Knowledge.

THE LIMITS OF SELF-TAUGHT SEARCH. I would then be making the same mistake in saying that there is an "Abstract Geometry" giving shape to the Dreams of all of us, independently; but precisely because it refers to real Life, this Geometric Structure seems to have references to Physical Laws, such that it holds as much for me and for you, just like any other theory: then the problem is, just how far it can explain how things work.

3. THE WATER CYCLE

The Sinusoid and Biophysics All these "Geometries" – the symbolic places of Dreams action – are nothing but "Sections" of a larger "Form" which constitutes a complete "Cycle" (in some dreams the entire Form can also be represented).

This Cycle is a Sinusoid Curve through which the Energy flows; and its Sections represent the various States of Aggregation of Matter, however stressing on the Transformation aspect: from the Raw state (the Theory), to Sublimation, that is, to Intuition.

– When we dream of a particular "Section" of the Sinusoid, we can then immediately guess which aspect of our real life it is referring to, then we can more easily identify where the tendency to "Blocking" is actually showing up.

Understandably then, digging in the meaning of that Symbol will also help us to trace back the conceptual stereotype of that Blocking – so that finally, in front of the same type of choice, we will be aware of the risks of self-deceiving and change habit.

How (Not) to Flood House

HOW TO FLOOD THE CURRICULUM. To illustrate the Sections of the Curve a little better, I'll take up the previous dream "I was holding my Garden Gate open, using my Library Card".

From the "structural" point of view, my Garden is at Street level. The reference is, therefore to a place with a vocation of primary exchange – where things pass, people and information from the outside world: therefore we are at the lowest level, that of Matter in its Raw state. Furthermore, my garden is where I played with friends, consequently, where I expressed my social personality, with the inevitable insecurities.

— By saying that "I was holding the Gate open with the Library Card", Dreams then tells me that an excess of Primary Supply risks blocking me; and the "emotional" cause of this Block is of a Social type: the need to make an "impression on others", particularly through Culture, because my self-esteem depends on the opinion of others.

A need which in any case, must be referred to the social pressures that come from School and through Family The solution that Dreams wants to give me, as mentioned above, is "Opening the doors to Dreams", that is, to spend more time in Creatively Reworking Concepts – which, as it is always worth remembering, leads to Solutions that often do not coincide with the initial claims.

Clearly, I had to contextualize this dream of mine within the issue of Professional updating: of wanting to write a Curriculum Vitae made up of Notionism instead than of Creative projects, made of exteriority but not of interests personal – made of Dependence and not of Emancipation.

THROUGH THE LEVELS OF THE SINUSOID. Having said that, similar situations can easily be represented by other symbols, such as: — I had left the tap running — I couldn't keep the door closed — the town square was flooded — there were large piles of garbage situations that generally, in a dream, will take place on a physically "inferior" level.

Since over time I have coined a personal "terminology", I refer to the Sections of the curve precisely with the term "Levels" because (we will see later) in general it becomes evident an "Ascending Path", that of the transformation of Matter "from Raw state to Intuition" (Sublimation) – which however does not ends here.

Therefore, should I dream of Floodings, Doors that cannot close, Landslides and the like, I should immediately intend a "Service communication" that sounds more or less like: — "Warning: Accumulation of Raw Materials in Warehouse – Risk of Production Blockage" In any case, identifying "Sections" has only the function to make it easier for us to intervene in a specific way (after all, this analytical approach is encouraged by Dreams themselves) – but the Cycle should be considered in its entirety, that is, as a "System".

WHY DISORDER HELPS. On the other hand, the very situation of Accumulation is an invitation for that very Confusion to be a way itself to get out of a state of swampiness – that is, what in the philosophy of dreams is to make the "Problem" become the "Solution" itself.

It is often thanks to Disorder that we are able to define a new Order Being able to see an unconscious habit in certain Objects and Projects, does not mean that they are intrinsically harmful, but it means that our creative Strategy has remained frozen in a Vicious Circle, so Dreams always invite us to use that blocking (which is Dreams themselves) to our advantage.

In this way we learn that the Solution is always an integral part of a Problem, and that for example we can always use Accumulation creatively, as soon as we give up on projecting onto it "the solution to an anxiety"

"PER ASPERA AD ASPERA". The following "Levels" therefore represent the various phases of a "Creative Process" which does not end with the Intuition of the New, but necessarily continues; and, after reaching "the moment of glory" (at the peak of the curve) descends along the opposite side – which represents the process instead, of practically realizing that Idea.

— This Curve in its entirety, then represents the "Realization of a Product" starting from the Raw Material; and for this very reason (we will see) it also makes a lot of sense to call it the "Water Cycle".

THE RAINBOW SERPENT. I instead have called it the "Rainbow Serpent" not only because I once physically dreamed of this creature; but also because, parallel to the "Water Cycle", it can also be defined by means of the Optical Spectrum, associating the "States of aggregation" to the 7 wavelengths from Red to Violet. Because of this concept, I therefore tend to affirm the general value of a completely individual study.

NB – Years ago I read ► The Chakra System ( by Anodea Judith) [Wikipedia], where the author is able to give physiological-pathological interpretations to dreams. I have often kept this approach in mind; but if Dreams are Guide to Themselves then I have never found myself dealing with Chakra's nor with Pathology (except for references to harmful enamels used the day before). Actually I am always happy to make these distinctions, also because The Chakra System is of a very scientific setting and I am confident of possible comparisons

4. THE RAINBOW SERPENT It is therefore very likely that Colors themselves in dreams are an alternative symbology, or complementary, to Physical Places, to indicate specific Sections of the Curve. Moreover (as follows) I find it a very practical way functionally to describe the various Sections, relative to a "Production Process". Obviously, I allow myself some descriptive suggestions with a Taoist flavor.

1) Level of Red

The Dark Valley in the Night: Water is Ice

the Terrain – the Raw Matter The Red Level represents the Dark Matter – the Matter in its "incomprehensible" state: for example, any Text of a new topic, any Problem in its simple formulation, then Dreams theselves in their fresh representation (the one where "we can't understand anything").

An "Excess" at this Level is, as stated above, Materialism in its most primitive, purely Objectual expression.

2) Level of Orange

Start to walk at Dawn: Water begins to melt

the Lake – the Theory This is the time for Contemplation – an "Activity" that is not really such, but will soon turn into "Analysis". Let's not deny it, we abuse of Rationality because we are always in a great hurry to "understand", and get where we stated; but in this kind of attitude there is no real Object of knowledge – only a reflection of ourselves which renders knowledge impure, tainted with expectations.

Compared to the previous level, the "Theory" represents something potentially understandable, but still locked in its physical definition: the same way Water collects in the concavity of the Ground, a Theory is collected, for example, within the confines of a Book. If we exceed in Theory, that is, if we exceed in the quantity of Topics of our concentration, Water will rise up and overflow from its borders.

Dreaming of "the School" is a typical representation of this level, thus indicating "Knowledge gained in the Past"; the same, dreaming of being high on a mountain and see many lower hills over there, those Hills represent the "deeds" I completed in the Past (which now seem so trivial).

Then note that it is always possible to dream of a Level that is "lower" than the Primary Level: with the same meaning we can also dream of Cellars and underground Boxes, especially if we use them as Warehouse for old toys or books: this is the place of the oldest Memories – the very "foundations" of our reasoning, the Personalities and Projects that we forgot down there It is therefore also the representation of the "Stereotype", a knowledge crystallized in a repetition of characters, of which we have forgotten the purpose, but not the "external form".

3) Level of Yellow

The Path comes out of the Wood: Water heats up

the Sun – the Analysis I am in the middle of my path of understanding, in the midst of my effort. Thanks to Contemplation, as the Sun gradually illuminates my path, I have isolated some Elements and I try to understand the Relationships that bind them. That is, the object of my study is transforming into a "Model".

This is the moment of the "Association of Ideas", which recalls a quantity of properties I attribued to an Object over time, and thanks to which I glimpse a "Path" in what was previously completely senseless and dark: I am coming out of the Forest of the Symbolic-instinctive Language, and turning it into Memories.

4) Level of Green

Some Rocks block the Way: Water starts to evaporate

Breathing – the Fatigue of Experimentation If you worked with chemicals the day before, chances are you will be dreaming of the Color Green, which reminds you to protect your airways.

This is also a very special moment in Dream Interpretation. It is the moment when we reach our limits, and an extra effort is asked: the Elements and Relationships are there, but we still cannot understand the overall meaning.

It is the moment of Frustration, the moment in which we understand who we really are, where at times we see the senselessness of our decisions and the naivety or helplessness that caused them. What can we do now?

I like to describe this moment thinking of "Jesus on the Cross". It is a symbol that says, if you want a result, you must give up Materiality: only the loser can actually win.

— Only by transforming into Steam can the Water overcome the Mountain Right now we understand that if we want to move forward, we have to get rid of the material aspect of things, that we have to turn it into something "new"; that we must then overcome our regressive Resistances – that is, Attachment to Matter – in order to confront the Unknown.

A symbology I have seen representing these last phases, is therefore understandably also "the Collective Prayer in the Church" — Each person is a single Element, but if everyone unites in a Prayer, they will be able to transform Matter into Spirit; after all, the very shape of the Gothic cathedrals recalls Fire, with its tendency towards Verticality and above all, an instrument of Transformation

5) Level of Blue

On the Mountain Plateau: Water has become a Cloud

"the High Death" – the Sublimation of Matter Suddenly everything becomes clear, like a huge panorama from this elevated place. We figured out what to do, and probably even acted without even thinking about it too much.

Now it's time to rest – but watch out, you cannot stay here for long. Black clouds already threaten your peace, whipped by a strong wind. This place is not for humans, but for fantastic creatures, because only they can live between a real world and the world of incorporeal ideas – a world that "non-exists".

So right now you had the idea that unlocks Innovation, and your project is there, floating like a Cloud in which you see the shapes of your imagination; the very great risk of this phase, is that it is not enough to watch a work with imagination, but we should also take the decision and turn it real – which involves Change – hence the name of this phase as the "High Death" (ie Ideal, opposite to Material).

Getting to this phase is in fact tiring, and if I go on, I know that the same effort will arise again and again – because, even if I implement this Solution, sooner or later this solution will prove insufficient: and therefore I will have to climb an even higher mountain... Then for many of us, it's time to go back, so that the very same solution comes more easily every time.

It deals, with the chronic anxiety of those who always want to remain "at the center of attention", of the Tyrant who wants other people to work in the place of them, of the Artist who sticks to success and always creates the same old job. Beyond this peak, in fact, the Unknown awaits us, the Waste of Energy in trying to make a job concretely, and see it not working: why risking it?

This is what Sadistic-Narcissistic Disorder consists of: getting "to the top" and always repeating the very same path, without ever truly innovating. It means never having achieved emotional independence and, in the paragraph ♦ The Fish-Man Syndrome, I tried to give it a sociological explanation, because in my opinion this phenomenon is structural

6) Level of Blue-Indigo

Finding a Way Down: Clouds are Dark

the Path – Define a Project From this moment on, a correspondence is created with the phases of the Ascending Path: as before with Dark Matter, now it is the Clear Idea the one which – after the moment of exaltation – represents my riddle, since I have to plan its realization.

It is possible then, that I will start to go down a road that will turn out to be a crevasse, then having to go back and look for another way, get to the sense of helplessness and start over: this is the path of Prototyping.

7) Level of Violet

The Cabin in the Woods: it's Raining

"the Low Death" Yes, we are mirroring ourselves in our own work; but the time has come for us to rest, because from tomorrow on, our work will show all of its imperfections. Sleeping is like dying, and our Innovation will die with us: from tomorrow it will be "Dark Matter" again, incomprehensible.

I am quite sure that your dreams often end with images that indicate a Principle of Destruction: whitewashed Walls peel and start to crumble; Floors disconnect – and fossile oil emerges from below; the Sea submerges ancient buildings; we struggle to move – we die. They all are images that remind us of the Principle of Change: that there never is a definitive Solution So, Dreams too leave us, reminding us of their own fragility: the fragility of Memory

We should only notice, that this new Lake is in a valley that is a little higher than the previous one. The Energy we have put into our work – transforming Water into a Cloud, then into Rain – we find it precisely in the fact that we have "raised up the level" compared to the previous one.

That is, we have "learned" something through creative work – through its difficulties. If we decide not to move forward when we have a creative idea, unfortunately we will not face new challenges, consequently we will not learn anything.

This is why the deep meaning of my ♦ Three-Words Method is that in order to solve a problem we have to create other problems – so I just make these further problems to be a "modular" representation of the main problem

5. CONCLUSION

Continuous Prototyping So we have seen that Dreams define a Path of Ideation and Realization which also represents the very way in which Dreams ask to be interpreted – Analysis, Synthesis, Verification and Realization – in order for us to get "accustomed" to this structure, gradually solving our own "creative workflow".

Since the moment we instinctively realize a risk of blocking, we prepare a Dream to flag which specific "Transformation Level" is affected by the resistance to change; therefore we will use a symbolic-instinctive language built associatively on top of specific Memories related to that behavior.

– In this way, the Rational mind will learn to follow this same "Curve" both to interpret Dreams, and to learn "Problem-solving" – while, clearly, getting able to recognize and reshape the habits causing that blocking.

Since the finished Work is nothing but an Obstacle that we set by ourselves, for us to overcome it and continually to improve ourselves; relatively to the evaluation of how that Solution responds to the Problems of Life, this energetic-logical Structure is called "Continuous Prototyping".

How To Study Like A Movie-Maker

Using Duties and Priorities to Build Creative Challenges Follow up to ♦ The Three-Words Study Method

I think there is no people who lack "Problem-Solving skills" – just people who are not engaged in stimulating activities.

HOW TO STUDY LIKE A MOVIE MAKER. The big aim of my "Three-Words Method" is therefore that of activating an emotional involvement, and be able to tackle with duties in a creative, self-motivated approach – rather than idealizing a "I wish I was" of our lost personal expression and getting lost in study adventures.

In this sense, perhaps one of the most intensely creative, and problem-solving activities is undoubtely Scenography and Film Making. Who ever did not dream of being a Film director, dealing with storyboards, costumes and scenery crafting?

— This is how ♦ The Mystic Project should be meant.

STAY LIMITED TO GROW UNLIMITED. By a technical point of view, it is like having to solve a certain problem by only using the provided tools: this is much more stimulating for Strategic Thought.

So, if instead of those "tools" I use my Priorities, and if the problem to solve is a "Strange Phrase", then I oblige myself to understand, and then accomplish my duties within the frame of that Question – which now is my real priority: my "Creative Challenge".

This opens a whole world of memory connections and brings up a sincere personal interest in developing that Question only using "what you already have".

In a sense then, this kind of studying it is much more like being "Artists", and even better, being like those Movie makers who deal with a widest range of sources and fields of knowledge to build a consistent play – a Virtual World.

So I personally think that the elements of this method can only be Three: • Two Duties / Study Subjects • One "Mystic Phrase"

HOW TO BUILD A "HOUSEWOLD": NUTS AND BOLTS. The philosophic base of this idea is the formula 1 + 1 = 1, which means that a New Product only comes by the comprehension of both Factors: The two Study Subjects are the adding factors, and the " + " sign is the Mystic Phrase So I do not suggest mixing up more than two Subjects, as the important thing to focus on is the "Mystic Phrase"; nevertheless you may bundle a set of items to make "one only Subject": for example, if I have to read some "10 books" within a week only, I may wrap them up as "one only Subject".

Let's set up such kind of "Mystic Project":

What on Earth is a "Housewold"? It is a way to make your brain work: – is that something dealing with a House in the Woods?

– do my 10 books deal someway with Construction?

– right, there is some Houseworks to do right now You will discover that any book in the world deals with "how to build houses in the wood" and with "how to accomplish houseworks without effort": find it, and conversely, find how your subjects may contribute to interpreting your Question in more ways. Believe me, your brain will light up with interests.

GETTING RID OF THE LINEAR APPROACH. You see now you are in a "search-mode", and you "need" to understand how your Duties solve your (haha) mystic problem. Is that serious? Does it work? You only can say that. In my experience, the linear-learning dimension only provided lack of skills and the frustration of not being "creative"; in this way instead, I get myself lost into duties with a creative purpose and I may develop my "big picture".

However, this is NOT a way to learn "everything in one glance", so I personally work on more than one project, use multitasking tricks and so on. My heart is my timer.

I think this method has a lot to share with ► Constructivism [Wikipedia]. This is not a list of instructions then. It is a task: "Solve this Problem using only these Tools" – Make a Painting with these two Colours – Make a Movie with these two Topics You only, are in charge of what kind of solution will be, because this is what we all need from you: your Difference.

CHALLENGING TIME. One more thing. What does "create" really mean? Should I draw something or use a software?... So maybe I could "impose" a certain creative tool, to force a "creative expression" of that project? That makes sense, but I think that this way I am limiting the potential of this work: What this Project will turn into, will only reveal with time Therefore, instead than forcing a creative tool, perhaps it is better to set a Deadline, so that you are obliged to "conclude" something anyway within that date. Afterwards, you may change project, or continue with your current one in a Continuous Prototyping perspective – which after all is the main point.

REWORKING IS DISCOVERING. Then it is also very easy to fall into the false-activity of merely listing good ideas. This habit will achieve nothing. A Project is only what is done, and focusing on it makes it become your "Positive Obsession" such, that there is no need to compile to-do lists: you just live in it.

– So I just recommend to take time regularly and rework your ideas on a piece of paper (building Associative Concatenations like explained in ♦ The Three-Words Method) so that you can go on, step-by-step, according to your Intuitions: because Intuition is what makes you jump off your seat.

What Is Contemplation

Trying to explain the paradox of the Non-Method Follow-up to ♦ The Three-Words Study Method

In the paragraph ♦ The Three-Words Technique, I spend some time in explaining how the "Non-Linear Approach" mainly consists in Contemplation – some sort of "fuzzy reading" with no need to understand, but primarily meant to explore the topic.

"THE WAY" THAT CANNOT BE TAUGHT. To give a better explanation then, I suggest this attitude to be compared to "The Way of the Body", a well known approach in Oriental Philosophies, that lets more room to Physical sensations, than to Rational intentions – as these latter may distort Reality, due to anxious expectations.

Since I pretend that paragraph, to be the very core of my "Technique", it happens that describing a "non-technique" results in a paradox; consequently, whatever explanation I may give, it will always miss the target.

— So what is Contemplation?

I AM UNDERSTANDING NOTHING. If you gave a try to the technique called "The Mystic Project" (see ♦ How to Study like a Movie Maker, for a short introduction) you may have noticed that trying to decipher the "Mystic Phrase" through studying a text, becomes a very different way of reading: — You may find yourself literally flying over the text: not finishing sentences, jumping accross pages, trying to sum up a whole chapter... all because the real focus is not the text, but the "Mystic Phrase".

However, if you are only used to a Sequential approach, you may think that you are simply "understanding nothing". After all, that was meant as a better study trick, isn't it? So what is the problem now?

THE DESCRIPTION OF AN EXPERIENCE. After a while of this nonsensical waste of time, let's instead take some paper and apply the Freudian Associative Concatenations (or the "Three-Words" trick) to recall our impressions: at

first, all that we can remember of that exploration may not be much, but it will be the first core of our reflections, which gradually, through Intuition, will set the path of what to focus on, each following "reading-session". Our text will then look more and more familiar.

By repeating these passages and creating connections (both while reading and then on paper) we are actually building our personal "Model" of that text: that is, we are learning. This system can be applied to any topic at any level.

— So now, do you see that in this way you have exactly repeated the "Three-Words Technique" without even knowing it? That is why those passages are not "a set of instructions", but more of "a description of an experience".

DON'T FEAR TO FLY! Then, I wonder I would have better introduced the "Mystic Project" before the "ThreeWords Technique" itself, but you see this is the unavoidable fault of a sequential way to expressing concepts.

— It is a bit like writing a book about Dancing: would you "teach to fly" right off, or would you rather introduce some Exercises before? My best answer is, if you simply explore that text with interest (rather than sticking on its straight "physical sequence"), maybe your learning path would make more sense while building your own "Model" of that knowledge.

BUILDING POSITIVE OBSESSIONS. The "Linear" technique is only a compact way of expressing knowledge, but it cannot be a way to fulfill the description of Reality, and basically it is not the way we learn. We learn through Mental Manipulation of Models, that is, by solving problems and living with our head in that dimension.

Unfortunately, books simply do not give us this opportunity; and there will always be a schizophrenia between "working" and "studying".

— If you had some experience with a Justice Trial (or with failed love), you yourself know that these situations make us build a fantastic virtual dimension full of details and hypothesis, but which is usually negative, paranoid; actually however, there is no better Learning than this!

So how could we go back to our teens and learn again to build those "Positive Obsessions" we used to have in those magic years? My survey tries to solve this question.

THE UNFATHOMABLE ENGINE. Therefore, what is Contemplation? It is the deep invisible core of true learning, which we may even activate through some technique, but a part from that we cannot describe it any way: because as soon as we do it, we give a partial opinion on a holistic concept – The Elephant in the Village of the Blind.

The Paradox Of Innovation

The Importance of Undetermined in Problem-Solving

Follow-up to ♦ The Three-Words Study Method

It is a very pity that we are not taught to interpret dreams.

Because when we learn something new, we always tend to making it a "solution of all problems" enthusiastically then, to hoarding some "to-solve" lists, consequently, to block the workflow.

When this happens, a dream will immediately remind us of such trap. Dreams talk about innovation, but it is not really correct to say so: it is more about approaching questions "with no bias" – with no expecting for a result. That's where innovation really comes from, but "innovation" itself cannot be THE approach, ok?

So it is mainly about not being too single-minded. We all tend to stabilize a technique (because this is economic), but when enthusiasm and lazyness meet, this is fatal for creativity.

Then what about my technique of the "Mystic Project"? isn't any "creative technique" the contradiction of itself?

Well, I someway found a rational approach that lets lot of room to Undetermined, while I can use it to face ordinary problems (read my post ♦ How to Study like a Movie Maker).

Actually, the real issue is not about "cultivating a creative project" (of course this is great), but think a moment: the most important thing in life is tackling with the unexpected events.

So my technique is a way to take advantage of newcomings as well, by using them to pave my work-in-progress without abandoning it.

Prize Or Punishment An archaic way of teaching that we must abandon AN ARCHAIC MIND. We must get out of that logic. If we are educated this way, this is what we are going to see in our results. Therefore, this is the way we are going to teach, and even to simulate learning artificially. This is the most stupid loop we could feed. This is an archaic mind and we must get out of it.

I always tend to think to Jesus in this case. That philosophy was meant to that point. "Don't rebel to the power, follow your spirit instead. If you rebel, you simply are reinforcing that pattern: you need Power either way, as servant, or as tyrant."

NO NEED FOR PRIZES FROM OUTSIDE. Learning does not really need THAT system of "prizes and punishment". It needs ENTHUSIASM, and enthusiasm can be fed by other enthusiasm – so how to activate that virtuous circle? First of all, childhood should never undergo a prize and punishment system, but rather be filled with love, care and feeding exploration.

— Self-esteem is a consequence of being helped in this activity.

After this, Enthusiasm/Learning is generally self-structuring – we are just made for so. When I assimilate some pattern, I naturally tend to improve, because it mostly relies on the feeling of CHALLENGE, as my Intuition will always suggest a little step beyond, each time, and get really far.

THE LOVE FOR EMPTYNESS. So you see that the "PrizePunishment" is not a wrong clinical observation, but I am sure we generally interpret it the wrong way – the regime way.

When two athletes run for the fastest one, they are supposed to contrast each other as for what they enjoyed doing on their own; But when these athletes fight each other to have a social recognition – a prize (or a "non-punishment") – they simply are slaves: they never could abandon the dependency zone. Do you see the point.

— Fearing emptyness, or being attracted by it. This is the question.

How to recover then, when we find ourselves unable to set up our own enthusiasm or keeping it high? My ♦ Three-Words Study Method does this survey.

Reworking Is Everything What a "Strange Attractor" is, in the Fractal Thought follow-up to the chapter ♦ When Intuition meets Multitasking

Consider these sentences: — in order to be productive I need to know what to do — in order to be productive I need to get rid of to-do lists They are one the opposite of the other, yet we need both to get the result (of "being productive"). Intuition is the key to that link. Now let me explain how Intuition leads us to develop a ► Strange Attractor [Wikipedia] in a Chaotic (Fractal, NonLinear) Thought dimension.

THE "ART" OF STRANGE ATTRACTORS. A Strange attractor may be defined like a "center of gravity" of a turbulent activity.

I have experimented it while drawing in a "Action-painting"

abstract expressionist style (see ► Jackson Pollock [Wikipedia]), leading me then to what I called ► Fractal Expressionism: — turbulent gesture naturally leads to focus on some points; if you however define some pattern before, the chaotic gesture will anyway tend to reinforce that pattern.

The same therefore happens with Multitasking; and this makes up my humble contribution to the theory of the Non-Linear interpretation of Thought, which would explain all that above in Neurology.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT JOB. Since childhood most of us are obsessed by justifying our professional choices, so we develop a certain anxiety, parallel to a certain envy towards those, who resolutely show how involved they are in their "my future job" as if they had a vision from Heaven.

As for me, I renounced to that answer since lot of time, as I tried simply too many roads; but this renunciation made me finally aware that only was an deceiving question (and mainly a cultural conditioning), the obsession of giving the society "the correct answer".

The correct answer is, in any case, a day-by-day activity of reworking.

THE BIAS AGAINST MULTITASKING. I am a "multitasker". Is that correct? I may otherwise say "I study the same way I make Abstract expressionism", Fractal Expressionism, to be more accurate.

There is a sort of bias about Multitasking. The fear of being judged unable of focusing and producing, if you cannot simply sit and do the same thing for hours.

There is no better way of being unproductive Focusing is essential to develop skills, however, the wrong assumption is that "focusing" should be strictly consistent and contingent, never diluted along time (it cannot be "fractal").

The truth is, that this "focused" dimension is a consequence – the same way I say that a Linear way of expressing thoughts is a consequence of an unorganized approach. So, one of the best things we could ever do in our mornings is to jump accross tasks and topics in a disordered dynamic way: this provides incredible energy to the brain.

GETTING AWAKE. Do one only thing instead, and you will sleep for all the day. It is not that I suffer a ADHD situation: I can decide to stick on a task. The problem is that when I "decide" to do one only thing, and ignore the crazy monkey in my mind, my vivacity fades off, tasks pile up, emails and contacts start waiting. Simply said, that Linear is not my dimension. I want to jump accross topics as soon as my mind tells me to.

As I used this approach a lot of times, I explored such a variety of tasks that this, to say the truth, along with making me able to accomplish more duties, also gave me the feeling of not really improving specific skills and knowledge – then opening the door to depression.

— Actually however, this is the skill I worked onto.

THE ADVENTURE OF QUADRATIC FUNCTIONS. That is why I developed the "Three-Words Technique" along with the "Mystic Project": the big sense of these tricks is giving a pattern – the pattern I said before about Gestural Expressionism: that is, an activity that results in gradual defining the following steps, the so called "SelfMotivational Study System".

I attach a picture of what is like doing such activity: you may notice I personally do not feel the need of tidiness, it only deals on a humble paper where I rearrange my memories coming from the "turbulent" activity developed without any plan. Nothing unusual.

Please notice it actually does not deals on a "Brainstorming" kind of work, but of "Associative Chains of Thoughts" (a Freudian concept) where I use some other words as Headers. This kind of work leads the concepts to develop more and more general, up to becoming a motivational "Intuition", because Intuition means "Synthesis", a connection that did not exist before.

— Such conclusion may not always represent the great change, that is, I might just realize I still have to develop a basic idea of that topic I am studying (read ♦ The Non-Linear Language Learning Method); but it often is also that DIRECTION that gives sense to my activities.

See in this case how I end up defining "FUNCTIONS (MATH)" as my next insight address (and I start immediately!)

EXPLORE TO FOCUS, FOCUS TO EXPLORE. Then as we find that target, we would notice that we enjoy it, and we tend to stick on two or three topics only – that is, we entered in the "Strange Attractor" thought dimension: we may keep on doing it for a lot, but it may also happen that as we rework our notes, the Attractor breaks! and we are thrown out of its orbit to deepen something else.

It is important in fact, to endow our reflections with other "points of view": recalling for eg. a Travel guide along with Business Statistics, will always provide new insights.

HOW TO UPDATE OUR BRAINWARE. So should we listen to that crazy fiend in our head, or should we always end something before we can move on?

As said above, that is a cultural question, I think, not really a personal opinion. The Thought of Death is implied by all this. People who is self-confident is not in trouble with Change more than what is reasonable; an anxious person like me and you, makes an existential issue of it.

— We developed too systematic a behaviour on the professional dimension, based on the assumption that problems should be solved once and for ever, otherwise you are not good at. This is extremely damaging for psychological balance, and basically makes no sense at all: actually that lead to the "Continuous Development" philosophy which makes software companies release patches every other week.

Problems may take years to be understood, so do some chapters in our study books. That is why I trust my Intuition, my need for a "personal crazyness", and also my superficiality, along with a technique to give this activity a rational structure, an eternal "Project without Project".

Reworking is everything.

PS. And if while studying how to Code Periodic Functions our head starts doozing, it is not sleeping that we need, but reading some Art Monograph (... before doozing a little).

Fuzzy Multitasking vs. Focused Multitasking

Dear Readers.

This is hopely the last article of my research about using Intuition in Learning, as it solves a personal problem in Multitasking.

Please read it as it is the conclusion of a long path. You may afterwards read my other articles to deepen the topic.

WHAT IS FOCUSED-MULTITASKING. In the ♦ chap. 6 Conclusion of "The Three-Words Study Method", I could solve "the issue of Multitasking" recursively by pushing new ideas back into the same study subject, refreshing my point of view each time, using a technique I called "Conceptual mirroring".

Basically, this is how it works: imagine this is my "Monthly Agenda" - Course of Neurology - Doing Houseworks - Study a Foreign Language - Read Books from City-Library - Updating Website Now I select a "Keyword" which gives me hints where to start from, narrowing any options to that List only – so that, if I pick a word such as "Agriculture", then I may decide to get rid of Houseworks first of all.

— This is because the Associative Thought can transform anything "into anything else". If I intend "Agriculture" as an Abstract Concept, then my mind is eager to find more connections; and in this case, "Cultivating a field" makes me think to Houseworks; but if "Agriculture" actually is one of my interests that, at the moment, I cannot really care to, then it is a way to take it on anyway.

This is the creative use of "Fuzzyness".

FRACTAL INTUITION-BASED TIME-MANAGEMENT. However, working with the Associative Thought might reveal more complicated as it also implies managing Intuition.

A sudden Intuition is such that you neither have to "decide" what to do, as when a certain conclusion lights up your mind, you start it immediately. So this method ends up in a straight, simple, focused, efficient and open-

minded Time-management system which allows you to integrate unpredicted events in a ordinary activity.

— As a matter of facts, you will not really need to connect "each Wish to each Priority": it only deals of triggering a start; but since Intuition triggers impulsive actions which tend to go beyond a pre-defined pattern – if only, because "Intuition" precisely means "Innovation" – this may not only result in realizing some urgencies we forgot of, but also in having to deal with things we did not plan, or in having to even modify the whole plan. ref. ♦ chap. 3 - When Intuition meets Multitasking

TO-DO LOST. The risk is therefore, that of getting lost in a "Fuzzy-tasking" with lots of new interests, but few concrete skills, or in developing huge doubts in our current targets – which may even turn positive, but not immediately pragmatic.

As this survey is personal, I cannot say you what to do. I simply think that too strictly a way of planning does not enhance our personal development and instead makes our blind to Reality, closed on our targets. Contextual choices may be impulsive, but life choices may take some time to ripen.

So just let me explain how I got there.

GROWING VULNERABLE. The search for job turned me into an anxious and inconsistent learner, spending my time in coping with tens of professional specializations. So when I realized that I simply would learn them all, not just for anxiety but for love for human progress, I had to develop a strategy – and this question found the right person.

My studies on the Interpretation of Dreams made me understand that our actions often represent the response to an Educational Blackmail, so that our choices always remain within an Infinite Loop, being them strictly "Resultoriented" according to an external request which we integrated as our own, representing our "Safety".

Consequently, we tend to approach tasks in a obsessive mood which ends up defining a dichotomy where our Job is not the expression of our personality, causing enormous psychological disorders, harassment and deaths on the job-place. People die on the job-place because they are under blackmail, not really coming from a tyrantic Employer, but from their intrinsic vulnerability; people take bribes because they need care. ref. ♦ chap. 1 - The Interpretation of Dreams as Fractals

PROBLEMS AS A PRIZE. Neurological studies on Decision-making (eg. B. F. Skinner, R. Douglas Fields) show that the Prize-and-Punishment mechanism has organic basis; but in my opinion, we tend to interpret this mechanism according to a cultural habit to that Blackmail itself.

— Is that ever possible to "desire problems" instead? to identify problems as "the Prize" itself? You may never think so, but we all are born as some "Odysseus" ready to dive in the darkest adventures. It is only afterwards that we learn to fear life.

THE MONSTER DOWN THE STAIRS. Dreams instead, precisely make us work on those Idealized Safety Targets, so we can overcome them and grow. I agree with Sigmund Freud that "Dreams are the Satisfaction of a Desire"; but if dreams bring our "fetishes" on a virtual stage, their purpose is not only a kind of "ficticious satisfaction", rather to free the anxious energies we froze inside them, by mean of the Analysis.

The message of dreams actually, is always "Study your Dreams" – that is, "Focus on Problems" – because at the bottom of the stairs there is the Monster of Change.

To achieve this, I found that the Freudian method of starting Chains of Associative Thoughts for each symbol, is the most effective to interpret dreams – since this is the way itself Symbols are charged with significance over time (like or not, we put Labels onto anything).

— At the end of this chain however, there is a sudden "Intuition" that not only makes us see "the Big Picture" (the real meaning of apparently meaningless daily actions), but also triggers an impulsive action making us doing immediately something we think more important than any other priority planned before. Little by little, year after year, our habits change.

We cannot change "the story" how that Symbol grew; but we can "unwind" that story so that in time we can add values to it, transforming that symbol from a block of ice into a conceptual element of our reasonments.

This is the meaning of "facing the monster" of solving problems: increasing the level of complexity. ref. ♦ chap. 5 - How to build a Spaceship read also ♦ The Rainbow Serpent

INTERPRETING DREAMS ON THE JOB PLACE. The problem is that interpreting dreams appears a "All or Nothing" time-demanding activity; so that in our customary work life, it is banned by default – though typically with lots of "Who knows what it means..."

With the method "Keyword-to-Priority" I told above, it is instead possible to even use a Dream Symbol to organize ordinary tasks, while, at the same time, doing insights on interior meanings.

It is likely that we may not deal with a whole dream, rather with only some symbols; in any case, interpreting our inner world is such an endless adventure, so even doing this simple work surely adds more self-awareness in recovering old memories.

THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMING. You may say, there is no need for a Help-Keyword, since you already have your duties planned and just have to run through the list.

Of course there is any; but the real point of this technique, is that Intuition may push doing immediately things that we are not really willing to do, also providing us with a Conceptual frame endowing our activities with a creative and global dimension – that is, a "Theme" — Because when we are not willing, we do things bad and likely need to do them again; and when we find no connections, we learn few... So unless you are a robot, I think you should give this method a try.

It was exactly from the Interpretation of dreams that I developed the "Three-Words" and the "Mystic Phrase" techniques, to provide merely theoretical learning with a Conceptual Frame, to emancipate it from being Result-obsessed, and be instead a creative, open path ref. ♦ chap. 3 - The Three-Words Technique

DREAMING OF WATERFALLS. For example, I dreamt of "Waterfalls from the Top floor of a building". I personally already know that this symbol means to me a suggestion to "go deep into problems" so that my Consciousness (the Top-floor) becomes richer of competencies (Water flowing); but conversely, it also means that if the neighboor of the top floor (Rationality) left the water open (Anxious Greedyness), then I will get flooded with tasks!

— Which finally means, that focusing makes me develop skills such that my "Workflow" goes smoother and my "Mental Building" gets richer; but it also means that a desire to get richer (Notionism) will result into undecidedness among too many things to do.

It is exactly due to this kind of warnings, how I developed the Associative Focused Multitasking.

WATERFALLS OF DUTIES. Now, don't mind what I said above, and let's be newbies. If I bring the symbol of "Waterfalls" as Keyword to start and cope with my Agenda, that symbol makes me immediately think to "Lot of items that come one after another".

— Suddenly, I realize that in the on-line Course I am attending, I have to peer-grade a number assignments from other students; and that there also are a lot of emails to read: all things that I am not really enthusiast to do – I would actually skip them for better – but Intuition gives me exactly that impulse to act resolutely, I would harder find otherwise.

This method therefore means to me that I can actually complete a on-line course – a revolution in my small world.

I understand however, that if you are a person who needs to plan even minutes to accomplish your targets, you may find uncomfortable with the idea of accepting external events; but real life is no way similar to a to-do list: it is a complex system where the smallest item may start an avalanche.

In other words, this means that behind too rigid plans there might not be "Interest", rather "Fear of the Unknown".

Being able to develop an Intuitive flexibility is therefore a great chance.

CONCLUSION. I personally never read about the "Intuitive impulse to change", because this topic of interpreting dreams is underrated, perhaps too mystic and too subjective: you cannot be "Intuitive-impulsive" with the head of someone else. As for what concerns my studies, well, if accomplished things always make sense, then I hope you also may find inspiration. See you in the other dimension! thank you.

— Post Scriptum. I happened to be aknowledged about the ► Dual Process Theory [Wikipedia] in Neurology, which makes a distinction between Reasonment and Impulsive Decisions. You may guess it is about the idea of Decision Making being "split" into two circuits – one that can be controled (Reasonment), and one that is not always under control (Impulsivity) which may cause problems and we tend to discourage.

The point of my work is that we may trigger the Impulsive action by mean of the very Reflection; and that this process is the more efficient the less we apply Expectations, that is, we should develop Contemplation as the main door to Decision Making. We unavoidably tend to relax on some Targets, as much "reasonable" as we pretend them to be; but our essence is Change and, if we resist to it, then Energies wants another way out. Being creatively (and bravely) "destabilizing" may keep this balance.

This process translates therefore into the idea that an "Action" is not necessarily the expression of a Decisionmaking (charged with assumptions), but also of Contemplation; and the Impulse to Action that derives is a routine-breaker. This is the main purpose of studying Dreams.
