The Braai Philosophy: Fire as Storyteller
Braai — derived from the Dutch word braden, meaning “to grill” — is more than a cooking method for Chef Terrence. “It’s about charred flavours, local Rooikrans wood with rich aromas, and cooking with natural elements. Braai connects us to heritage,” he explains. At ROOI, this philosophy becomes tangible through a kitchen built around fire. “Cooking on open flames has allowed us to channel all the natural elements into our food,” Chef Terrence says. “Combined with great quality meat, it’s helped us truly embody open-flame cooking in our kitchen space.” What makes Braai different? “It’s live. Period of Cover
Fine2Dine’s Edge Chip Warranty is valid for a period of 2 years from the date of the original invoice, while the product is in use.
Products Covered
This warranty applies exclusively to the following collections and their respective products: Ceres, Line, Nova, Oxido, and Usko. Covered products only include round/oval plates, round/oval bowls, round cups, and round saucers from the mentioned collections.
Warranty Terms & Conditions
This Edge Chip Warranty is applicable only to businesses operating in the hospitality and food service sectors. It explicitly excludes domestic use and products sold in retail settings.
The warranty specifically covers edge chipping incidents. Other types of breakages, including chips, cracks, or breakages to handles, lugs, or knobs on cups, mugs, and jugs, are not covered.
This warranty extends to the collections and products supplied as part of the original order and subsequent replenishment orders under the terms outlined here.
The warranty is valid for the original customer at the location specified on the warranty registration form. It applies under normal food service conditions, encompassing refrigeration, serving, washing, and secure storage. Use in ovens or under grills is not covered.
The approval of warranty claims rests solely with Fine2Dine. The warranty is contingent upon correct and complete filling out of the registration form. Any errors in the required information will render the Edge Chip Warranty void.

Reactive Glaze
Most of our ranges are finished by hand, using a reactive glaze. Thanks to this glazing process, no two pieces are alike. Random patterns and color variations emerge, resulting in truly unique pieces that still belong to the same family, with all items in that family perfectly matching each other.
You can compare the effect of reactive glazes to snowflakes. No matter how many billions fall from the sky, no two are ever alike. Each snowflake has its own unique pattern, with an infinite number of possible shapes. The same principle applies to our tableware finished with reactive glaze. You’ll never find two exact copies, but within the same collection, they all share a common aesthetic.
