Our Executive Board is proud of recognizing the Excellence and highly skilled achievements of our members within the Precast Construction Industry, and also for their Certificate of Qualification within the Province of Ontario.
LABOUR DAY CELEBRATES IN SOLIDARITY, WORKERS’ ECONOMICAL AND SOCIAL ACHIEVEMENTS
From about 140 founding Members, LiUNA Local 506 has extended to its’ current Membership of more than 8,000. Our Members are resilient and versatile, branching out in different fields representing a wide range of workers across Ontario, from many sectors of the Construction Industry, Manufacturing, Waste Management, Power Sector, Exhibit and Display to Hospitality. In the 50’s and 60’s new immigrants arrived from Italy and in the 60’s and 70’s an influx of immigrants from Portugal, the 80’s and 90’s brought immigrants from Poland, Africa and South America, all proudly under the banner of Local 506, From about 140 founding Members, LiUNA Local 506 has extended to its’ current Membership of more than 8,000. creating one of the most multicultural Unions in North America.
