O sistema canadense é o padrão ouro para gerenciar a imigração. - Ray Marshall o Programa de Entrada/saída: Um recente avanço do Ministério Federal de imigração do Canadá a esse respeito é o Programa de Entrada/ saída que permitiu ao governo rastrear movimentos de turistas por terra desde fevereiro de 2019. Esse novo movimento provocou um debate em todo o mundo sobre a sua real necessidade ou não, mas, em geral, foi apreciado em todos os níveis. Vamos ver como esse programa funciona. Ao entrar nas instalações do Canadá, suas informações pessoais são obtidas pelo governo canadense a partir da agência Canadian Border services Agency. suas informações pessoais incluem seu nome completo, data de nascimento, nacionalidade, sexo e informações
de documentos de viagem. A CBsA coleta seus dados para rastrear seus movimentos de entrada e saída por terra ou por via aérea. Qual é o objetivo do Programa de Entrada/saída? o principal objetivo dele é: • Avaliar sua elegibilidade para um documento de viagem canadense para protegê-lo contra fraudes de imigração; • Verificar a sua duração de estadia permitida no Canadá; • Verificar se os patrocinadores e parceiros moram no Canadá para programas de classe familiar no interior. Para seu benefício, as informações coletadas também são usadas para determinar seu status de residente temporário ou permanente e facilitar seu tipo de solicitação de residência, seja temporária ou permanente. Para um pedido de residência temporária, você deve comprovar sua presença física no Canadá por pelo menos 1095 dias a cada 5 anos. Suas credenciais coletadas com base no Programa de Entrada/saída são verificadas pela IRCC Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada e isso os ajuda a decidir, conceder ou revogar sua cidadania.

s stated by the former secretary of labour, Ray Marshall, in his new book, Value-added immigration, Lessons for the United States from Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom, Canada undoubtedly has set a benchmark with effective immigration policy.
the Entry/Exit Program:
A recent step forward by the Canadian federal immigration ministry in this regard is the entry/exit program which has enabled the government to track by land movements of tourists since February 2019. This new move has stirred debate across the globe as to whether it was needed or not but mostly it was appreciated on all levels. let us see how this program works:
Verify that the sponsors and partners live in Canada for inland family class programs. to your advantage, your collected information is also used in determining your temporary or permanent resident status and to facilitate your temporary and permanent residence application types. For a temporary residence application, you must show your physical presence in Canada for at least 1095 days of every 5 year period. Your credentials collected on the basis of the Entry/ Exit program are verified by IRCC, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and it helps them decide to either grant or revoke your citizenship.
As you enter the country of Canada, your personal information is obtained by the Canadian government from the Canadian Border services Agency. Your personal information includes your full name, date of birth, citizenship/nationality, gender, and your travel documents information. The CBsA collects your data to track your inand-out movements by land or by air. What is the Objective of The Entry/Exit program? The main objective of this program is: Evaluate your eligibility for a Canadian travel document to protect you against immigration fraud. Keep a check on your allowable duration of stay in Canada.

ano mal começou e centenas de brasileiros já foram deportados dos Estados Unidos, trazidos em aviões fretados. Desde outubro, o governo Donald Trump tem fretado aviões com brasileiros ilegais com destino ao aeroporto de Confins, em Minas Gerais. São pessoas que saíram do Brasil cheios de esperanças, sonhos e coragem. E voltaram somente com a roupa do corpo, e, nas mãos, documentos pessoais dentro de um saco plástico fornecido pelo departamento de imigração americano. na memória, vários episódios de humilhação em uma terra hostil. “Acredito que lá não fazem isso nem com cachorro, mas com a gente eles fizeram”, disse a um canal de TV um dos brasileiros deportados. se o imigrante é ilegal, então o nome já diz tudo. Ele está agindo contra a lei e, portanto, não é um comportamento a ser estimulado ou elogiado. Mas isso não faz dele, necessariamente, um bandido. Muitas vezes são pessoas honestas em busca de uma vida melhor e que não encontram no país de origem uma saída para a pobreza. o Brasil produz comunidades inteiras em vários países e isso também inclui os imigrantes ilegais que entram nos Estados Unidos em busca do “sonho americano”.

O que é o “sonho americano”? Para muitos, fazer a mesma coisa que fazem no Brasil mas, em vez de ganharem uma miséria, ganham o suficiente para sustentarem a si mesmos e, às vezes, os parentes que ficaram no Brasil. Para outros é ter a
oportunidade de empreender, abrir o próprio negócio, tornálo um sucesso, comprarem casa e um carro novo. A pergunta é: para realizar esse sonho, vale a pena correr o risco de humilhação e deportação? ou até mesmo de morte numa travessia clandestina? o Brasil não é um país pobre para explicar tamanha produção de ilegais. Mas é um país desigual, muito desigual. E todos os anos de governos dos mais diferentes campos ideológicos nos últimos 60 anos não conseguiu mudar isso. Atualmente temos um presidente que venera o solo americano. Ele passa a mensagem de que os Estados Unidos são maravilhosos ao mesmo tempo que permite o aprofundamento da nossa desigualdade. E a mensagem é recebida na forma de centenas de pessoas se esgueirando, nas sombras, para lá. E, eventualmente, voltando em aviões fretados com o rabo entre as pernas. Quem está errado nessa história? os Estados Unidos são culpados por não desejarem imigrantes ilegais? não creio. Mas estão certos ao tratarem ilegais como criminosos em uma penitenciária de 3º mundo? Qual é o papel do país de origem desses imigrantes? no caso do Brasil, o que o governo – não apenas o atual, mas todos que o antecederam – deveria fazer para evitar que tanta gente só enxergasse uma terra de oportunidades além de suas fronteiras?

he year has barely started and hundreds of Brazilians have already been deported from the United states, brought in chartered planes. since october, the donald trump administration has chartered planes with illegal Brazilians bound for Confins airport in Minas Gerais. They are people who left Brazil full of hopes, dreams, and courage. And they returned with only the clothes on their backs, and in their hands, personal documents in a plastic bag provided by the American immigration department. in their memory, several episodes of humiliation in a hostile land. “I believe they don’t do it there even with dogs, but with us, they did it,” one of the deported Brazilians told a TV channel. If the immigrant is illegal, then the name says it all. They are acting against the law and that is not a behaviour to be encouraged or praised. however, this does not necessarily mean they are bad people. They are often honest people in search of a better life and who need to find a way out of poverty in their country of origin. Brazil produces prosperous communities in several countries and this also includes illegal immigrants who enter the United States in search of the “American dream”. What is the “American dream”? For many, doing the same thing they do in Brazil, but instead of earning misery, they earn enough to support themselves and, sometimes, the relatives who stayed in Brazil. For others, it means having the opportunity to open your own business, make it a success, buy a house and a new car. the question is: is it worth the risk of humiliation and deportation to make this dream come true? or even death in a clandestine crossing?

Brazil is not a poor country to explain such illegal production. But it is an unequal country, very unequal. And all of the governments with different ideologies in the last 60 years have failed to change that. Brazil currently has a president who worships American soil. it sends the message that the United States is wonderful while allowing inequality to deepen. And this is evidenced through the form of hundreds of people sneaking, in the shadows, over there. And eventually, returning in chartered planes with their tails between the legs. Who is wrong in this story? is the United states guilty for not wanting illegal immigrants? Are they justified to treat illegals like criminals in a 3rd world penitentiary? What is the role of the country of origin for these immigrants? In the case of Brazil, what should the government - not just the current one, but everyone that preceded it - do to prevent so many people from seeing only a Land of Opportunities beyond its borders?

Mês da história negra, como todos os anos, também foi comemorado em fevereiro de 2020, e os canadenses participaram ativamente das festividades e eventos dessa data comemorativa, homenageando o legado dos canadenses negros.
O tema do Mês da História Negra deste ano foi: “Afro-americanos e o Voto”. Ele foi inspirado no tema da onU “década internacional para Pessoas de Origem Africana” (2015-2024). A história do Mês da história negra remonta a 1926, quando Carter G, um historiador afroamericano com formação em Harvard, propôs celebrar um dia em homenagem às realizações dos afro-americanos e pela conscientização da história negra nos Estados Unidos. Essas celebrações se expandiram para o Mês da História Negra em 1976. no Canadá, o político Jean Augustine aprovou uma resolução em 1995, que representava o distrito de Etobicoke–lakeshore, em ontário, Canadá, oficialmente reconhecendo o Mês da História Negra. Em fevereiro de 2008, o senador donald oliver, o primeiro negro indicado ao Senado, propôs celebrar fevereiro como o referido Mês, o que foi acordado por unanimidade e instaurado em 4 de março de 2008.

Black history heritage celebrated in Canada

lack history month, like every year, was celebrated in February 2020 as well and Canadians actively participated in the Black History Month festivities and events to honour the legacy of Black Canadians. The theme for Black History Month this year was: “African Americans and the Vote” This theme was inspired by the UN’s theme of the International Decade for People of African Descent(2015-2024). The history of Black History Month dates back to 1926, when Carter G, a Harvardeducated African American historian proposed to celebrate a day in the honour of accomplishments of African Americans for the awareness of Black History in the United states. these celebrations were expanded into Black History Month in 1976. in Canada, a politician, Jean Augustine, passed a resolution in 1995 which represented the riding of Etobicoke—Lakeshore in Ontario, Canada and it was officially recognized as Black history Month. in February 2008, senator Donald Oliver, the first black man appointed to the senate proposed to celebrate February as Black history Month which was agreed upon unanimously and adopted on March 4, 2008. Black history month is the best time to commemorate and learn about the contributions of Black Canadians to the settlement, growth, and development of Canada and the variety of Black communities in Canada and their contributions to the history of Canada.

om mais de meio milhão de estrangeiros residindo no país, Portugal vem experienciando um aumento no seu número de imigrantes.
De acordo com dados fornecidos pelo ministro do Interior Eduardo Cabrita, até o final de 2019, 580 mil estrangeiros viviam em Portugal, ante 490 mil no final de 2018. As circunstâncias em Portugal são bem diferentes do resto dos países da UE, que parecem significantemente relutantes em manter imigrantes, tentando diminuir o afluxo de emigrados, especialmente o Reino Unido, onde estão sendo feitos esforços para reduzir a imigração. À luz de uma declaração do primeiro ministro António Costa, em 2017, o governo de Portugal aprovou novas leis para aumentar a taxa de estabelecimento de estrangeiros no país. Ele disse: “Precisamos de mais imigração e não vamos tolerar nenhuma retórica xenofóbica”.

ith over half a million foreigners residing in the country, Portugal is celebrating a rise in the number of immigrants.
According to the digits given by the interior minister, Eduardo Cabrita, by the end of 2019, 580,000 foreign nationals were living in Portugal, up from 490,000 at the end of 2018. The circumstances in Portugal are quite different from the rest of EU countries who seem significantly reluctant to keep immigrants and trying to decrease the influx of émigrés, especially the UK, where efforts to reduce immigration are being made. In light of a statement given by the Prime Minister, António Costa, in 2017, the government of Portugal passed new laws to increase colonization. the Prime Minister said: “We need more immigration and we won’t tolerate any xenophobic rhetoric.” Amendments were made in the laws and the legislation taking effect in august 2018 which helped in drawing in a new surge of immigrants to Portugal. If you are someone who is aspiring to seek immigration in any of the European countries, the good news is that Portugal is that one European country that is going to give you a warm welcome and guess what, the government of Portugal has also assured a 50 percent income tax cut until 2023 to keep the immigrants locked in.

ssa declaração foi emitida recentemente pela ministra de transportes de ontário, Caroline Mulroney. À luz dessa afirmação, podemos antecipar um sistema de transporte mais avançado e bem coordenado na cidade. ontário, uma das treze províncias do Canadá, já é conhecida por ter um sistema de transporte limpo, eficiente e de longo alcance e, em abril de 2019, o governo da província declarou uma transformação histórica no sistema, com um custo projetado de 28,5 bilhões de dólares.

It will not only generate years of employment, but it will also allow us to better connect a world-class city and develop transit-oriented communities.”

his statement was issued recently by the minister of transportation of Ontario, Caroline Mulroney. In light of this statement, we can preempt a more advanced and well-coordinated transportation system in the city. Ontario, one of the thirteen provinces of Canada is already known to have a clean, efficient and far-reaching transportation system and recently, in April 2019, the provincial government of Ontario declared a historic transformation in its transportation system with a projected cost of $28.5 billion. This new project comprises four priority transit development programs including the new ontario line, the three-stop scarborough passageway extension, the Young north subway extension, and the Eglinton Crosstown West extension. Later in June 2019, a new act was passed to empower the provincial proprietorship of the subways and new lines planned in the announced transit plan. The main objective of this legislation is to: Reposition the utilities including the gas and electricity Improve the overall infrastructure of the state and move it within a set time frame Introduce an organized and reliable procedure for better coordination at work. These on-going reforms show the dedication of the Ontarian government towards a safe, affordable and attractive alternative to travel around the city.

The minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture industries, lisa Macleod, who was present at the ontario heritage Trust and who kicked off the week said,

he province of Ontario celebrated Ontario Heritage Week 2020 starting from February 17-23. The history of the heritage day dates back to 1975 and that of Ontario Heritage Week to 1985 and it is celebrated on the third Monday and the third week of February respectively to highlight the cultural, natural, architectural, archeological and cultural expressions of the city this week and highlights the important history of local communities and the diverse heritage of Ontario.
“Community museums and heritage organizations support local tourism, community well-being, and learning,” said Minister Macleod. “they also contribute to a spectacular double bottom line — the financial bottom line of the province as well as the equally important bottom line of our cultural fabric and identity.”

The theme for the Heritage week in 2020 is created by the National Trust for Canada and it is 2020 Vision: Bringing the Past into the Future. lisa Macleod highlighted the government’s investment of more than $5 million-dollars on community museums which will grant over $4.8-million to 166 eligible community museums on a yearly basis. Along with that, 176 Heritage organizations will receive funds of a total of nearly $240,000 through this grant. The community museums contribute to the economic well being of Ontario attracting more than 3 million visitors annually.

província de ontário celebrou a semana do Patrimônio de Ontário, de 17 a 23 de fevereiro. A história do Dia do Patrimônio remonta a 1975 e a da Semana do Patrimônio de Ontário a 1985, sendo comemorada na terceira segunda-feira e terceira semana de fevereiro, respectivamente, para destacar as expressões culturais, naturais, arquitetônicas e arqueológicas da cidade. Essa semana evidencia a importante história das comunidades locais e a diversificada herança de Ontário.
A ministra das indústrias do Patrimônio, Esporte, turismo e Cultura, lisa Maclord, que esteve presente no ontario heritage trust para dar início à semana, disse: “Museus comunitários e organizações de patrimônio apoiam o turismo local, o bem-estar comunitário e o aprendizado. Eles também contribuem para uma linha dupla de fundo espetacular: a linha de fundo financeira da província, bem como a linha de fundo do nosso tecido cultural e identidade, que é igualmente importante”.

E, com isso, ele começou a conquistar empregos melhores após se tornar um arquiteto desenhista. depois de sua cidadania americana ter sido negada, Mauricio e a sua atual esposa, Ana Rosa nascimento, renomada cabeleireira e proprietária do Brazilian hair studio, em toronto, decidiram emigrar para o Canadá em 2008. no novo país, o apoio de seu irmão Carlos Roberto e sua esposa, Lígia, foram fundamentais para o recomeço. orn in Bogotá, Mauricio Jiménez, son of Álvaro and Zoila, still has a love for his homeland. he visits Colombia several times a year, attracted by the love for his father and brothers, Carlos Roberto, Javier, and Consuelo. The father of two beautiful daughters, Diana Paola and Catalina he moved to Florida where he faced a difficult life for many years washing cars, which propelled him to improve his life. He believed in his potential, was very hardworking and stood out in everything he did, in addition to being very determined to build his future. The first step was to break the language barrier and learn English. And with that, he started to get better jobs after becoming a designer architect.
After his American citizenship was denied, Mauricio and his current wife, Ana Rosa Nascimento, renowned hairdresser, and owner of Brazilian Hair studio in toronto, decided to emigrate to Canada in 2008. In the new country, the support of his brother Carlos Roberto and his wife, Lígia, were fundamental for the restart. After a few years, Mauricio realized that he could still grow much more as a professional and wanted more contact with the public instead of working for hours on a computer. Following his passion for photography, Maurício opened MAgiC Vision Photography with modern, high-quality equipment. He prepared himself to become one of Canada’s best photographers and studied at humber College, graduating with honors. in addition to taking advanced courses to keep up to date with new techniques in the field of photography, Mauricio also obtained the WPICC certificate as a “Certified Wedding Planner”. With this, it has offered a more complete package to his customers, with the event decoration service, being highly requested for weddings throughout ontario. All of his work and dedication led Mauricio to receive several awards throughout his career:

Why do we love to eat Chocolate?

hocolate contains a number of psychoactive chemicals, including anandamide, a neurotransmitter whose name means ‘joy, happiness, pleasure’. since anandamides stimulate the brain in the same way as cannabis. The food also contains tyramine and phenylethylamine, both with effects similar to amphetamines. in addition, there are also small traces of theobromine and caffeine, known as stimulants. Chocolate is also characterized by a creamy viscosity. When you take it out of the packaging and put a piece in your mouth without biting it, you will notice that it quickly melts on your tongue, leaving a prolonged feeling of softness.
Receptors in our languages detect this change in texture, which then stimulates feelings of pleasure. But what really made cocoa - a bitter drink - to become the sweet one we love today was the addition of sugar and fat. The addition of the right amount of each of these elements is crucial for the appreciation of chocolate. For example, a carton of milk and chocolate usually contains about 2025% fat and 40-50% sugar. the phone scam involves customers receiving a phone call from fraudsters requesting immediate payment over the phone. If you get a call requesting immediate payment and threatening disconnection - hang up and contact us directly at alectrautilities. com/contact-us. If you believe you may be a victim of fraud or theft, please contact the Canadian Anti-fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 and Alectra to report the incident.
Though apparently, these calls come from the Canadian telephone numbers they are usually from overseas. The law enforcement agencies and IRCC are well-informed and constantly keeping an eye on these scam calls. Please be aware of the fact that IRCC will never personally contact the students through telephone calls or social media to demand fees or fines. iRCC encouraged the students to consult the resources section of their official website to educate themselves on how to avoid falling prey to these scams and report them. students can also contact the international student services Office in case of any queries.
