CATCH-UP
from APRA June Newsletter 2023
by APRA
Nebo rodeo was again a huge success with many of competitors coming home with fat wallets In particular, Cameron Southern who took the win in the Bull Ride and placed in the Saddle Bronc pocketing over $8,800, and Joebie McPhee taking home the win in the highest paying event the Breakaway roping with over $6,000 to her name and securing her spot in the Rope for the Crown competition in the USA. Congratulations to Jared Deguara and his team of workers behind the great event and we look forward to seeing what 2024 brings to the table for this prestigious event

Mount Isa have announced they will be affiliating with APRA again this year and we look forward to advertising more details of the event in our calendar. Just a reminder that junior memberships are due for renewal for the new 2023/24 season so be sure to get those paid well in advance before you get your northern run entries in.

You may have seen that APRA have advertised for a Manager Business and Operations role this month. I have been based remotely from the Warwick office since January travelling back and forth on a regular basis Now that a few new procedures are in place and things in the office have settled with a great team of ladies on board, it’s time for a leader to be permanently based in the Warwick office for inhouse support at all times This also gives me opportunity to be able to do more of what I was originally employed for, and that was the growth and future planning of the business focusing on our clients and liaising with our affiliates on a part time basis So, I will still be in the picture and not going anywhere in the short term.
Until next month

Jill Lyons Operations Manager
