INTRODUCING EARLY YEARS APPRENTICESHIPS FOR MANAGERS! We have a new apprenticeship available for Early Years Managers, the Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5 programme! This apprenticeship is designed for childcare professionals who have a key operational role in the running and delivery of care in a setting. It is a great progression route for Level 3 apprentices and existing senior managers. The curriculum covers key topics, such as curriculum and pedagogy, partnership working, child development theory and implementing quality care.

Our team developed the curriculum with input from employers we work with to ensure it can be easily integrated into the working schedule of a childcare setting & its care practices. The course will equip learners with the knowledge, skills & behaviours needed to become influential and proactive practitioners within their settings.

The course duration is 24 months & is accredited by our recommended EPAO, NCFE CACHE. The Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5 course

is ideal for childcare professionals in a senior management position within a setting, such as: • Assistant Nursery Manager • Senior Early Year Practitioner • Pastoral Care Manager We are also offering the option to complete the Level 5 Early Years Senior Practitioner Diploma (which comes at an additional cost) alongside the apprenticeship. Achieving this diploma will allow your employees to achieve a professional qualification as well as their apprenticeship certificate.

THE NURSERY WORLD SHOW: COMING APRIL 2022 The Nursery World Show is running from the 29th to 30th April 2022 at the Business Design Centre in London and is a great training opportunity that can be included in your apprentice’s 20% off-the-job training.

There will be a range of talks and seminars from industry leaders in the Early Years sector, with a focus on the best practices for settings in a post-Covid world. The exhibition will benefit anyone working in the early years or primary education sector such as: • Nursery Owners & Managers • Special Needs Co-ordinators • Early Years Practitioners Use this event as an opportunity to support your apprentice’s off-the-job training contribution! Lily Tunbridge was one of our Exceptional Performance Award winners in 2021. She is currently completing her Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship after starting her course at age 16. UPCOMING SPRING INTAKES We have upcoming course intakes for the following apprenticeships: Business Administrator Level 3 The Department of Education has confirmed that early years settings can reduce their staff ratios if they are suffering due to COVID-related staff absences; “[the] Government considers COVID-19 to be an exceptional circumstance in which the staff-to-child ratios set out in the EYFS can temporarily be changed, if necessary, for example, to respond to COVID-related workforce absences.” To work around this, they have advised mixing age groups of children who might have been educated separately.
