HORSE RANCH

san diego county, california

The inspiration for this ranch came not from the usual Spanish or Mediterranean Revival influences common to Southern California, but from the colonial architecture of South America and, more specifically, Argentina’s Estancias. The intention was to create a uniquely rural landscape separate from the surrounding suburban context which in time would capture the experience of an agricultural homestead in the wilderness.
