Apple Hill Farms

As we prepare for the 2025 Harvest and welcome you to our farms, I am happy to announce that the Apple Hill Growers has placed some new events on the calendar for 2025. We host guests for several events throughout the year, highlighting the crops and products during their harvest season beginning in March featuring wine, followed by spring and summer crops in June, July and August.

For many years we’ve hosted several fall harvest events in September – November. Last year we added the opening of the “Flower Trail” which highlights farms that grow flowers for enjoyment and photo opportunities, with some farms offering “you pick” flowers. This year the Flower Trail will kick off on September 13.

On that same weekend, we have added the “Across the Canyon Weekend” event on September 13-14. This weekend will include special offers/discounts for our neighbors that reside in Amador and Placer Counties.

The Apple Hill Growers continues to explore ideas to expand our customer offerings throughout the year. Our events offer something for everyone.

To make it easy to find and plan to participate in upcoming events, we have added to our website a monthly calendar showing all Apple Hill sponsored events as well as individual events that are happening at our member farms. When planning your visit, be sure to go to our website applehill.com, and click on the “Events & Activities” tab and select “Events Calendar.” All events for the selected month will display on the calendar.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Get the Most Out of Your Trip to Apple Hill Grower Farms

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

Check the weather for Camino, CA, before heading out.

• Dress in layers so that you will be comfortable regardless of changes in weather.

• Wear comfortable walking shoes for access on uneven dirt and gravel surfaces in outdoor and parking areas.

• Bring water and sunscreen for summer/fall trips as foothill temps can reach 100 degrees.

• Bring an ice chest if you plan to purchase refrigerated or frozen items.

• Bring cash as many ranches take only cash and credit card systems do not function when wifi is down.

DURING YOUR VISIT

Drive to and park at each individual farm.

• Do not park or walk on county roads. These narrow roads have no shoulder and are dangerous for parked vehicles and pedestrians.

• Do not leave your vehicle long term parked at individual ranches taking up limited space needed for other customers.

• Use CalTrans designated Park and Ride Lots for long term parking.

• Respect opening and closing times at individual ranches,

• Dogs – welcome at some ranches in outdoor areas – must be kept on leash. Dogs are not allowed (except service dogs) in indoor food service areas. Owners must clean up after their dogs.

• To avoid traffic congestion consider planning your visit Monday – Friday avoiding the busy Sept., Oct., and Nov. weekends.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

Allow enough time to travel back down the hill. Traffic becomes congested through Placerville especially on weekends.
