Korean War veteran turns 90 The Johns Creek Veterans Association had a small gathering Aug. 26 to celebrate Charlie Kelly’s 90th birthday. The party, which took place at Park Place at Newton School, was complete with refreshments and a red, white and blue birthday cake. Kelly is a founding member of the Johns Creek Veterans Association. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for four years and on active duty in Korea for just under two years. Read more in the Sept. 9 issue of the Johns Creek Herald.
