Year of the Ox
Johns Creek Arts Center staff members, from left, Althea Foster, Lillie Cipolla, Kristen Lekowitz and Stephanie Donaldson were on hand early to help prepare for last Saturday’s family fun drive-up to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Year of the Ox. It was the third event the center has hosted to celebrate other cultures. The more than 250 families that registered received activity bags with crafts and treats for the children. The event was sponsored by The Ping Mortgage Company and Prosper Homes Inc. An art exhibit featuring youth art and celebrating the Lunar New Year is online now at johnscreekarts. org. The center plans to host its next drive-up event for Earth Day in April.
