Garden Club speaker touts importance of native plants By HAYDEN SUMLIN hayden@appenmedia.com DUNWOODY, Ga. — The Dunwoody Garden Club sponsored nationally known ecologist, author and professor Doug Tallamy to speak about the importance of native plants and what people can do to help their ecosystem. The free event Oct. 25 in the Dunwoody High School Auditorium was made possible by the Garden Club’s annual Swing into Spring fundraiser. The talk drew more than 450 guests who learned how they can pitch in.
DUNWOODY, Ga. — There is no more speculation surrounding Ryan Seacrest’s involvement in the grassroots campaign to renovate Dunwoody High School’s stadium, coined the “Bring It Home” campaign. As a student at Dunwoody High School, Seacrest auditioned for and earned the opportunity to host the
school’s morning announcements. At just 16, he transformed the daily announcements into a full morning broadcast show, beginning each day with an enthusiastic, “Good morning, Dunwoody!” Ryan was also a member of the football team, which won the 1992 AAAA Regional Championship. Since graduating from Dunwoody High School, Seacrest has become an Emmy-winning television host, radio personality,
