Avalon is North Fulton’s holiday headquarters This holiday season, Avalon in Alpharetta is a one-stop destination for festive fun, from shopping to ice skating to special moments with Santa Claus. This years holiday lineup will include Avalon on Ice, a gift giveback benefitting The Drake House and Santa at Avalon. The award-winning Santa at Avalon will use special RFID technology to create magical experiences for children of all ages. RFID is an enabling technology that helps Avalon seamlessly deliver personalized experiences. Parents can stop by Concierge or go online to register their children and pick up an “I Am Santa’s Gift” tag. The registration form includes questions about the child’s name, age, Christmas wishes and even an option to enter requests such as: clean their room, stop fighting with siblings, etc. When the child approaches with the tag, Santa’s iPad – hidden inside his Naughty or Nice book – populates with the child’s registration form, allowing for a magical conversation between Santa and the child. Registration for the RFID Experience can be done at Santa›s house or Concierge prior to your appointment. Please contact Concierge if you have any further questions. Avalon successfully introduced RFID technology to its Santa House in November 2014. In May 2015, the innovative Santa experience won the highest honor of MAXI awards from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). “We take great care in creating the perfect Santa experience for our guests. Inspired by The Rink at Rockefeller Center, Avalon on Ice is open weekdays from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. Admission is $18, children under 10 can skate for $14 per child, and
groups of 10 or more can skate for $15 per person. Price includes skate rental. on Ice tickets for that day. Throughout the holidays, Avalon will provide guests several other opportunities to give back to The Drake House during festive events. Avalon on Ice: Families of The Drake House will join guests for a skate night at Avalon on Ice on Dec. 28 to benefit the organization by donating a percentage of sales. Throughout the holidays, donate a gift to The Drake House and receive $3 off a ticket to Avalon on Ice to be used same day. Santa House: Guests will have the option to give back by donating to The Drake House at Avalon’s high-tech Santa House experience throughout the season.
