Officials in Alpharetta spent much of Jan. 26-27 studying proposals to improve roads, parks and other municipal services at their annual retreat held at the Hotel at Avalon. City Council members agreed the list of projects needed to maintain a high quality of life is extensive and expensive. Some, however, differed on the best ways to pay for these big-ticket items.
