It is with great delight and enthusiasm that we communicate to the Apostolic Assembly the progress and successes of Apostolic Mutual. This year, we are celebrating seven years of serving the Apostolic Assembly!
Despite the many financial challenges our churches are facing today, the future is encouraging, and the vision is strong. As a faith-based institution, Apostolic Mutual continues to trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has control over all things. We continue in our mission to become a positive and strong financial option for our churches.
The entire Apostolic Mutual team is committed to the task of serving the pastoral body and churches with financial programs and opportunities that have blessed our churches throughout the world.
Even as bank interest rates continue to be uncertain, Apostolic Mutual is sustaining its commitment to lower rates to serve our churches in these difficult and challenging times.
To date, we have processed 56 loans totaling five million dollars ($5M). Many of these loans were used for the purchase of new buildings and for refinancing at lower interest rates. Through these efforts, we have saved our churches over $300,000 in bank loan interest fees, and we are expecting an additional $1 million in loans over the next six months. Furthermore, we thank our partners in mission. We have received over four million dollars ($4M) from our Apostolic Assembly family in investments, which enables us to fund new loans and also help our International Missionaries with a retirement plan and much more.
We are also grateful to our Apostolic Assembly golfers for participating in our first Apostolic Mutual Golf Classic, which raised $7,000 for
National Missions. Your support and participation are deeply appreciated.
We are now recognized as a Church Loan Extension Fund by the State of California and are a proud member of DILA (Denominational Investors & Loan Administrators). Thank God for these important recognitions that affirm our growth and credibility as a faith-based financial institution.
As our Apostolic Assembly family continues to invest in Apostolic Mutual, the opportunities continue to increase. There are a variety of options for investment, giving each church or individual the opportunity to select what best fits their needs and enjoy the benefits. Truly, our churches are the beneficiaries of our own investments.
This is our season. It is our time to invest and to harvest the blessings of our Lord. The more we invest into God’s Kingdom, the greater the reward. We encourage you to invest into Apostolic Mutual. The dividends are certain, and the reward is great.

FROM BURgERS TO STEAkS: A JOURNEY OF gROwTH

We drove up and down a steep road tucked between the forest trees. It was late at night, and we were all tired and hungry. As we reached the intersection, we finally pulled into Dick’s Drive-In. A simple burger, fries, and shake provided exactly what we needed to keep going. The team had officially made it to Bellevue, WA.
In September 2025, the Apostolic Mutual team attended the annual DILA Conference (Denominational Investors & Loan Administrators) in Bellevue. This year, I had the privilege of joining three outstanding leaders: CPA Suzanne Valencia, Attorney Yvonne Vazquez, and Assistant Executive Director Eva Rodriguez.
DILA is an informal gathering of denominational loan funds dedicated to strengthening nonprofit organizations that provide loans to affiliated churches and ministries. For Apostolic Mutual, though, DILA is more than a professional network — it’s a community that offered the encouragement, guidance, and practical wisdom we needed when launching our own loan fund. Being part of this group reminds us that we’re not alone in the mission to empower churches through responsible financing.
This year’s conference gave us the opportunity to connect with other faith-based loan funds and share best practices. One key topic of discussion was the potential to offer insurance coverage that would protect depositors for up to $250,000.
While this initiative is still in development, we’re excited about what it could mean for greater security and confidence among our investors.
The conference concluded with a dinner hosted by DDI (Discipleship Data) at Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi, where we enjoyed breathtaking mountain views. DDI expressed appreciation for all their clients, including Apostolic Mutual. Our partnership with DDI — which began on day one of our operations — continues to be a cornerstone of our accounting and finance programs.
Our trip began with burgers and ended with steaks — a fitting reflection of how far Apostolic Mutual has come in such a short time. As we continue to grow and gain recognition within the church loan fund community, we’re reminded that our mission goes beyond finance. The annual DILA Conference is more than a seminar; it’s a source of encouragement and inspiration — a reminder that through faith, stewardship, and collaboration, we can continue helping the Church reach new heights.
FOOTSTEPS iN SUCCESSiON –A JOURNEY FROM THE IMPOSSiBLE

The pathways to success are not always paved in gold, nor are they ever truly defined with certainty. Many of us encounter setbacks and speed bumps along our journeys, and not everyone will reach the pinnacle of financial wealth. However, it is important to distinguish between financial success and financial stability. While both carry a sense of accomplishment, they differ in their impact.
Financial success may lead to certain monetary freedoms, but financial stability eases the burden of financial uncertainty. The uncertainty surrounding our finances can be more paralyzing than failing to reach a specific financial goal.
BEgiNNiNgS OF A JOURNEY
To illustrate this point, let’s go back to 2001. At nineteen years old, I stood at the threshold of opportunity, having just secured a state job with a strong benefits package. I had been told that landing this job could take a year or more—yet within six months, I received a call, attended an interview, and was offered the position. Everything seemed promising, and the chances for promotion appeared limitless.
The job came with union protection, which made me feel even more secure. I truly believed my life was on a path to long-term stability. What could go wrong? It was a rock-solid plan. Everything appeared to be going my way.
A DiViNE DETOUR
All it took was two years. God has a way of clearing pathways—especially when we decide to take side excursions. I believed I had cracked the code. Yet, after a series of unfortunate moments, it all unraveled, leaving me in a place of deep uncertainty.
All that security was gone in a moment. The stock market of my life crashed for the first time—and unfortunately, not the last time.
I made more mistakes than I care to explain— mistakes that created unforeseen catastrophes and cost me my freedom and sense of control. The Lord made it clear that the new pathway He was setting before me would take as long as He saw fit. I didn’t know how, what, or when things would change, but I knew the road ahead would be arduous.
Where logic failed, God provided. He paid the bills when there wasn’t enough, opened doors that were legally blocked, ushered me into

rooms filled with people who had every resource I would one day need, and most importantly, shifted my perspective when I thought I had all the answers. Where numbers failed, Jesus thrived.
STEP BY STEP: DiViNE PROViSiON AND UNExPECTED OPPORTUNiTiES
This journey did not begin with understanding or clarity. I certainly didn’t grasp the full lesson
STEP BY STEP, THE LORD ORDERED MY PATH:
right away; it took time and divine intervention for my path to be redirected. Rather than pursuing a career in law, I found myself stepping into a world I never expected—the world of finance and accounting.
Numbers and taxes were not my first choice, but circumstances—and a gentle nudge from my father—led me to a small tax office in the middle of nowhere.
• I found a job that, on paper, couldn’t cover my expenses—yet every cent I needed was provided. Not always when I wanted, but always on time.
• I pursued a financial career that I wasn’t legally permitted to do, yet God ensured my credentials were approved by the IRS every year.
• With no formal training, I had to figure out tax law and learn to apply it. By grace, I was given divine insight and knowledge to progress.
• I became a business partner in a failing tax business. The owner, of his own will, decided to name the business after my last name.
• I focused not on the fees I would charge, but on building relationships and treating people with compassion. With only $250 a year in business cards, the business grew—from one client to thousands in just a few years.
• Ten years later, after saving diligently, I invested those savings in a new venture—a transportation company.
• The Lord orchestrated a change, removing my business partner and granting me full control of both businesses.
• Once again, another failing business. With only pennies to my name, we closed a deal with Amazon.
• The business grew rapidly, expanding from one truck to sixty in less than two years.
And then… I lost everything.
LESSONS FROM THE FALL
Reaching what seemed like the pinnacle of financial success taught me a powerful lesson: I had been chasing the wrong goal. My pursuits led me astray, and eventually, I was consumed by the very path I thought would bring fulfillment.
By the time I recognized this, it was too late to pivot, and I had to see the story through to its end. Piece by piece, the Lord dismantled what I had built. God was making sure I understood that I could only move forward when He allowed it—often defying all logic. He stopped me from chasing prestige and redirected my focus toward Him.
The Lord wanted me to gain steadfastness in my faith. The abundance I experienced was not measured by numbers but by merciful provision. When there was nothing left in the bank, His mercy prevailed.
For twenty years, I fought against the logic of numbers, but new doors opened exactly where my steps needed to go—with long-standing relationships appearing at just the right time. Yes, there was debt and there were hurdles, but my steps were ordered toward the next destination.
THE TRUE MEANiNg OF STABiLiTY
True stability is found by immersing ourselves in His presence. We do not need things or numbers—just Him. He guides us toward the kind of stability that fits His plan for our lives.
By investing in His Kingdom—through money, time, effort, and faith—our return on investment is the peace of stability. The future becomes secure, and the present manageable, serving the purpose He has for each of us.
Success is not defined by monetary gain or even by stable employment. The real measure of success lies in our understanding of who God is. He will generously provide for the needs of the faithful—not for the sake of creating wealth, but to meet our essential needs, which differ for each believer.
Through Him alone comes the answer to what lies ahead. Whether we start a new business or pursue a better job, our efforts must always be accompanied by a willingness to surrender to God’s timing—accepting His “yes” and His “no” with humility and trust.
When planning for the future, it is vital that our strategies are woven together with steadfast faith. It is wise to save for retirement and to be good stewards of the resources God provides. God’s provision and wisdom are truly boundless.
So let us never forget: where logic and numbers are limited, God is not.

If you’re wondering how things turned out— well, I’m still here. I have built three successful businesses, with two still in full operation. The third remains on hold until God decides to bring it back.
Accolades do not legitimize success; it is the lessons learned and applied that create truly successful individuals. Thankfully, through His grace, I have learned to value His ways over my own.

CHAiRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DiRECTORS: BiSHOP JOSEPH RODRígUEz
Bishop Joseph Rodríguez has served as a director since the organization’s inception and began serving as Chairman in January 2023. He is also the Vice President of the Apostolic Assembly, elected for the 2022–2026 term.
Born on October 10, 1950, in Bakersfield, California, he is a fourthgeneration Apostolic leader whose grandfather was one of the first Apostolic evangelists in Arizona. Following his grandfather’s calling, he was ordained to the ministry in 1975 in Oakland, California. He later served as a National Evangelist, preaching revivals throughout the United States.
While witnessing the rapid technological growth in Silicon Valley, he began working for IBM Corporation, where he became a Failure Analysis Senior Methods Specialist. He retired from this successful career in 1992.
In 1982, the Lord Jesus used his father, Pastor Joseph G. Rodríguez, to plant the Third Apostolic Assembly of San José, California. When his father retired in 1992, Bishop Rodríguez was appointed pastor of the church. He continued to grow the congregation until he retired in 2015, passing the pastorate to his son, Steven Rodríguez.
He is married to Sister Delia and resides in San José. They have three children—Joey, Steven, and Jacob—and four grandchildren: Nicolette, Makai, Chloe, and Arya.
ViCE CHAiRMAN: BiSHOP ANDY PROVENCiO
Bishop Andy Provencio has served as Vice Chairman since January 2023 and is also the General Treasurer of the Apostolic Assembly, elected for the 2022–2026 term.
Born on June 16, 1952, in Santa Rita, New Mexico, he is the son of Pastor Albino Provencio, founder of the Apostolic Assembly in Santa Rita. He studied at Western Apostolic Bible College (now Christian Life College) in Stockton, California and was ordained to the ministry at the 1972 General Convention.
Bishop Provencio has served in pastoral ministry, missionary work, and international leadership. His missionary efforts expanded Apostolic Assembly presence from 23 countries to 43 countries worldwide during his tenure as Secretary of International Missions.
DiRECTOR, SECRETARY: BiSHOP MARTiN AMADOR
Bishop Martin T. Amador has served in church leadership since his youth. Born October 25, 1948 in Hollister, California, he was baptized in 1965 and later ordained to ministry in 1981.
He served alongside his father, Pastor Domingo Amador, before becoming pastor of First Modesto Apostolic Church, where he has faithfully served for decades. Bishop Amador also held numerous district leadership roles including District Treasurer, Sector Elder, and Bishop of the Northern Golden Valley District.
He retired from the City of Turlock after 27 years of public service as Housing Program Services Division Manager.
DiRECTOR, TREASURER: gAMALiEL “giL” AgUiLAR
Gamaliel “Gil” Aguilar has served as a director and Treasurer since the organization’s inception. Born January 23, 1961 in Tulare, California, he is a Certified Public Accountant and managing partner at Pine Pedroncelli & Aguilar, Inc.
He has assisted many churches and organizations with accounting and tax services and has volunteered on numerous boards throughout Tulare County.
DiRECTOR: LEOBARDO MAFFEY
Leobardo Maffey has served as a director since December 2019. He earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and served for many years with the State of California in tax administration.
He also served in pastoral leadership, including founding Costa Mesa Apostolic Church and later serving as Senior Pastor of Zion Apostolic Church.
DiRECTOR: SUzANNE VALENCiA
Suzanne Valencia has served as a director since January 2020. She is a financial advisor and entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in the accounting industry.
She founded Valencia Tax Service and later expanded into the transportation industry by establishing Valencia Transport Service, which grew rapidly and now includes CDL training and transportation services.
DiRECTOR: YVONNE VASqUEz
Yvonne Vasquez graduated from Loyola University Chicago with degrees in International Studies and Psychology. She later earned her Juris Doctor from UIC John Marshall Law School.
She currently works as in-house counsel specializing in contracts and corporate governance and remains active in church ministry and nonprofit service.
DiRECTOR: JORgE MONTES
Jorge Montes is principal of Montes & Associates, P.C. He earned his journalism degree and law degree from Loyola University Chicago.
He has served as supervising litigation attorney, Illinois Prisoner Review Board Chairman, and has held numerous public service and legal leadership roles. He also serves as a legal analyst for national Spanish-language media.
DiRECTOR: JORgE LOPEz
Jorge Lopez joined Apostolic Mutual as a Director in April 2021. He holds degrees in Pastoral Theology and Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
He has served as Controller, Finance Director, and Chief Financial Officer in multiple organizations and currently serves as Pastor of the La Habra Church in La Habra, California.
ExECUTiVE DiRECTOR: EDDiE CAMPA
Eddie Campa has served as Executive Director since the organization’s inception. In addition to pastoral ministry, Pastor Campa is a financial accountant and author with over twenty years of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit accounting.
He currently serves as the lead pastor of Community Faith Center Church in Redlands, California, a position he has held for more than eighteen years. Pastor Campa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California State University San Bernardino and has completed graduate coursework in Finance at the University of La Verne.
ExECUTiVE DiRECTOR ASSiSTANT: EVA RODRigUEz
Eva Rodriguez has served as Executive Director Assistant since August 2021. Born in Van Nuys, California, she is a fourth-generation Apostolic believer.
She supports the Executive Director and board operations, manages account processes, prepares financial statements, and utilizes her bilingual skills to assist clients, board members, and vendors. Eva is also active in church ministry and women’s leadership.
SENiOR LOAN OFFiCER & FiNANCiAL ANALYST:
ESTEBAN ROBLEDO
Esteban Robledo has faithfully served Apostolic Mutual as Senior Loan Officer and Financial Analyst since February 2019. With more than three decades of experience in real estate and lending, he brings extensive expertise in financial analysis, loan origination, and church financing.
Esteban is married to his high school sweetheart, Norma M. Robledo, and together they are blessed with three children: Esteban III, Michelle, and Andrew.
He is an ordained minister and church planter and currently serves as Minister in Charge of Living Hope Moval (Moreno Valley #2).
ACCOUNTANT: NATHANiEL gARCiA
Nathaniel Garcia serves as Senior Accountant for the Apostolic Assembly and Accountant for Apostolic Mutual. His professional experience spans accounting, insurance, and administrative leadership.
In addition to his professional career, he serves as a deacon, worship director, and youth leader. His life stands as a testimony of perseverance, faith, and dedication to serving God.

Daniela Rios Gomez has served as Receptionist and Office Technician for Apostolic Mutual since February 2024. She supports daily office operations and administrative functions.
Born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, she immigrated to the United States as a child and has been active in church ministry since the age of eight. She currently serves as Praise Team Leader at the 1st Apostolic Church of Redlands.

Elizabeth Caudillo serves as the Newsletter Editor for Apostolic Mutual, where she assists in writing, editing, and preparing communications that highlight the organization’s work and mission. Through this role, she helps share updates, stories, and important information that connect and inform the Apostolic Mutual community.
Professionally, Elizabeth serves as an Instructional Coach for English Language Learners. She has dedicated thirteen years to education, working with students and supporting teachers in developing effective instructional practices that help multilingual learners succeed academically.
Elizabeth is married to Pastor Hector Caudillo. Together they pastor a vibrant and growing church in Firebaugh, California. Their ministry reflects a shared commitment to serving their congregation, strengthening the local church, and supporting the work of the Apostolic Assembly.
Elizabeth is passionate about communication, education, and ministry and values every opportunity to serve both her professional field and the church community.

Dominic Moschetti serves as the Creative Director for Apostolic Mutual, where he leads branding initiatives and develops marketing materials, newsletters, and website content. He plays a key role in organizing the annual AM GOLF CLASSIC, helping drive fundraising efforts that support both international and national missions.
