The Musicians’ Fund
Apollo’s Fire established the Musicians’ Fund in March 2020 to support our musicians who are facing severe loss of income during the coronavirus pandemic. Through this fund, AF has paid its musicians over $170,000 in partial fees for canceled concerts during the pandemic and in modest “COVID-19 Relief Grants” to those of our core musicians who were most in need.
AF is continuing to support our musicians this season. The larger concert programs that had been planned before the pandemic are now replaced with smaller chamber programs that can be performed with physical distancing on stage. Some of the money from the Musicians’ Fund will be steered to regular AF musicians who are not included in the chamber programs but who would have performed in the larger programs that were originally planned. AF will also provide another round of COVID Relief Grants to our core musicians who are most in need.

Thank you to all of you who have donated to this program. You are truly making a difference in the lives of AF’s most precious resource.... its Musicians.

Bring the Music Home! THE POWER OF LOVE
Arias from Handel Operas

Debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Classical Chart
(November 2015)
“Forsythe is a superb singer with staggering agility. This is a knockout recital by a major American soprano. Sorrell leads the period instruments of Apollo’s Fire… smoothly and expertly.” – CLASSICS TODAY
“At home equally in the passionate music for Almira or Armida, the dramatic depths and heights of Cleopatra and the teasing cynicism of Atalanta… Forsythe displays formidable technique… remarkable range of vocal colour… packs an overwhelming emotional punch. Apollo’s Fire, under the able baton of Jeannette Sorrell, provide exquisitely-judged orchestral support.” – EARLY MUSIC REVIEW (UK)
“Forsythe’s agile vocal prowess is on full display here in Handel’s depiction of love’s whirlwind…. Impressive technique and emotional persuasion from Amanda Forsythe and Apollo’s Fire.” – HARMONIA EARLY MUSIC
