The “Tre Donne di Ferrara” (Three Ladies of Ferrara) were probably the first female professional musicians. Apollo’s Fire collaborates with three stunning Amandas in virtuoso trios written for the Ferrara ladies, alongside soulful songs by Barbara Strozzi and Francesca Caccini and lively duets from Monteverdi’s playful Scherzi Musicali. Our season-long pilgrimage of hope ends with a joyful celebration of Nature. If you thought you knew Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, be prepared for surprises. Apollo’s Fire and Jeannette Sorrell bring these beloved concertos to life as the revolutionary acts of musical storytelling they were meant to be – a vivid depiction of traditional life in the Italian countryside. The program also features dueling cellists in Vivaldi’s stormy Concerto for Two Cellos.

Share the Music. Share the Love. Apollo’s Fire’s Community Access Initiative reduces economic barriers to concert attendance – sharing the inspirational and transformative power of classical music with people from diverse backgrounds. This program has helped AF bring in 5000 new attendees in the last 2 years! 2020-2021 “In Person or At Home” FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How does “In Person or At Home” work?
During the pandemic, we are offering 2 ways to attend concerts. If state policies allow, audiences can attend the concert in person in limited numbers if they are comfortable in doing so.
If I come in person, will I need to wear a mask?
Apollo’s Fire will implement Ohio’s health guidelines at the time of each concert. If the CDC and government officials recommend masks and social distancing, then AF will follow these protocols.
If I come in person, what will the seating arrangements look like?
For concerts taking place under social distancing guidelines, AF will seat couples together, with approximately 3 empty seats between each couple. Some rows will be blocked off entirely. Patrons buying 3-4 tickets as a group will be seated as a group, with empty seats around the group. Patrons buying a single ticket will be seated alone.
If I watch at home, do others in my household require additional tickets?
We are leaving this decision up to you, but please protect AF's future when making your choice. Consider purchasing a number of tickets – or making a donation – to cover the number of viewers who will enjoy the concert. Thank you!
If I buy a subscription, can I attend some of the season in person and some from home?
Absolutely! As pandemic conditions change, so will our ability to offer in-person concert experiences to more people. We will remain flexible, work with our venues, follow state policies and CDC guidelines, and communicate frequently with subscribers and ticket holders about the options available for each series.
When do I need to decide about attending in person or at home?
We would love to know as soon as possible, but at the latest, please let us know 3 days in advance of the concert if you do not plan to attend in person. This will allow AF staff to call patrons on the waiting list.
What about my usual seat that I’ve had for years?
You’ll get it back when the pandemic is over! Meanwhile, we will make every effort to seat you as close to your preference as possible.
MORE ABOUT THE “AT HOME” OPTION. • One week after the final performance, ticket holders will be able to view the performance on their chosen device (i.e. phone/tablet/computer/smart TV/ streaming device). The online video will be available for 10 days. Watch it as many times as you like! • The price for the online version is the same as a Section C ticket. • Premium, Gold, Section A, or Section B subscribers who do not attend the concert in person will receive a tax-deductible donation receipt for the difference between the price paid and a Section C ticket. Patrons can choose to direct their donation to Apollo’s Fire or to our Musicians’ Fund. Tickets may also be exchanged for an alternate concert in the season. Please email info@apollosfire.org for more information. $12 PRESTO SEATS | As long as social distancing directives are in place, $12 Presto Seats will be available only as “Watch-At-Home” tickets. A limited number will be made available for each online concert-video. Presto Seats go on sale beginning three weeks prior to each concert – ORDER EARLY! Tickets may only be purchased by calling the Box Office at 216.320.0012 x 1. Patrons are limited to one (1) Presto Seats link per event. All sales are final, and Presto Seats may not be exchanged. GROUP DISCOUNTS | Group discounts are available in price sections B and C and may be purchased by contacting the Box Office. Groups of 10-19 patrons will receive a 10% discount and groups of 20 patrons or more will receive a 20% discount off of the regular ticket price. EXCHANGES | Tickets (other than Presto Seats) may be exchanged for other performances in the 2020-2021 subscription series. The box office will charge a $2 per ticket exchange fee as well as the balance for ticket(s) to a more expensive performance, if applicable. Subscribers receive free exchange privileges. All exchanges must be received in the box office no later than 48 hours before the event. For information about the “At Home” exchange options, please see our FAQ section on page 12. TICKET DONATIONS | If you cannot use your tickets, you may receive acknowledgment for a taxdeductible donation for the value of the tickets. Donated tickets must be returned to the box office at least 48 hours prior to the performance. Ticket purchases are non-refundable. All programs and artists are subject to change.
