OUR HISTORY OUR HISTORY
OUR HISTORY OUR HISTORY
In 1949, a group of like-minded teachers came up with the idea to work together not just as colleagues, but also as stewards of each other’s financial futures.
Guided by the philosophy of mutual benefit, these teachers created a notfor-profit financial cooperative. As with many things in life, looking out for each other made everyone stronger and more secure.
With this foundation, we’ve grown into an award-winning credit union in Texas serving hundreds of thousands of members and community members.
After 76 years, many things have changed, but our bedrock principles remain. A+FCU takes the financial capability of every member seriously. We strive to understand their needs to provide the best financial guidance for where they are in life and where they want to go — helping them on their journey to live their A+ lives.

In 2025, A+ Federal Credit Union continued to build on the strong foundation established over the past 76 years, helping members reach their financial goals through products, education, and support designed so every member can live their A+ life.
As we reflect on the year, we’re proud to serve as one of the largest and strongest credit unions in Central Texas. We gave back more than $6.17 million to our members and the communities we serve. The Board and Management team focused on delivering products and services that empower and benefit our valued members. Highlights of 2025 include members earning $2.80 million through our Cash-Back Checking program and $1.96 million in benefits from lower loan rates and higher dividends. We also supported members with $507 million in loans, including home equity loans, mortgages, auto loans, and personal loans.
Our continued investment in technology delivered secure, convenient, and innovative solutions for managing money anytime, anywhere. This commitment helped the A+ Mobile App earn the #1 ranking as the 2025 Best Mobile Banking App in the U.S. and North America in the World’s Best Digital Bank Awards.
We were honored to receive several awards that reflect our dedication to serving members and creating an exceptional workplace. In 2025, A+FCU was once again recognized as Best Credit Union, Best Financial Planning, Best Investment Firm, and Best Customer Service, as well as being named a 2025 Top Workplace in Greater Austin and a 2025 FAVE Award Company Culture winner.
Community service continued to be a cornerstone of A+FCU. Our A+ Gives program celebrated its sixth year with thousands of volunteer hours contributed by employees committed to making a meaningful difference. We’re especially proud of how our team members took immediate action to collect and provide donations to those impacted by the devastating floods in our area last summer. Additionally, our fourth annual A+ Gives Day brought together hundreds of team members who
volunteered more than 1,500 hours across Texas and beyond. In total, the A+ Gives program contributed $171,885 in time, donations, and resources to strengthen our communities.
Another important aspect of our mission is financial education. Our Community Education team hosted 12 Mad City Money budgeting simulations, reaching 2,400 students. Overall, our A+ team spent a total of 650 hours in 2025 helping over 11,600 people feel more confident about their money through presentations and educational events.
A+FCU financial giving included awarding 60 scholarships totaling $120,000 to high school graduates pursuing higher education and collegiate students pursuing or furthering their career in education. Through spirit debit card Cash-Back Checking rewards, we gave back over $179,798 to area schools and districts.
Our commitment to impact the community earned recognition with the Austin Gives 2025 Generous Business Award and the 2025 Nancy Rabb Legacy Award. While much has changed since our founding in 1949, our mission to positively impact members’ lives and strengthen communities remains steadfast.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our more than 500 team members for their dedication to exceptional member service and community engagement.
The Board and Management team are committed to safeguarding members’ accounts and deposits, backed by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Strategic decisions in 2025 further strengthened our financial stability, ensuring we can continue serving members with confidence.
Throughout 2025, we helped members Live Their A+ Lives — whether by building budgets, consolidating debt, purchasing homes, planning for retirement, or protecting themselves from fraud. Every member’s journey is unique, and our commitment remains the same: to provide secure, reliable products and personalized support that make achieving your goals easier.
We’re honored to be your financial partner and look forward to helping you continue living your A+ life in the years ahead.
Respectfully,
Landon K. Spillmann Chair

As we close another year, I am proud to share that A+ Federal Credit Union continues to build on a legacy of member-focused growth and resilience. In 2025, our assets climbed to $2.56 billion and member shares reached $2.06 billion, reflecting our ongoing commitment to financial health. Our net worth ratio stands strong at 13.30%, and we have preserved solid liquidity and managed risk effectively. Membership expanded to 193,309, a testament to the trust our community places in us.
This year, we also invested in new digital tools and enhanced member services, making it easier than ever for members to connect with us and manage their finances. We introduced a new dashboard that modernized online banking with a personalized experience while promoting services and products.
The Elan Credit Card Module simplified credit card applications within online banking, driving adoption — after its November 10 launch, booked cards surged from an average of 151 per month to 757 by year-end, providing timely financial support during the holidays. Additionally, Mobile Push Authentication offered a secure, convenient alternative for login verification, reinforcing our commitment to safety and ease of access.
Every achievement this year is rooted in the vision of our founders and the dedication of our members. I invite you to review the 2025 Statement of Financial Condition in this report. Thank you for your confidence and partnership.
