Made in Cambridge, New Zealand, our entrance doors are designed and assembled at APL Manufacturing and are available through Altherm, First and Vantage nationwide.

With APL's Plasma range of entrance doors, they create a premium solution that pairs advanced door engineering with the rich visual character of real metal.
How does it work? Elemental Finishes’ liquid metal surfaces are formed using genuine metal powders, with finishes available across tones and textures inspired by materials such as bronze, brass, copper, iron and aluminium. Because the finish is created from real metal content rather than a simulated effect, it carries the natural depth, tonal variation and tactile quality associated with solid metal surfaces. At the same time, the finish is more adaptable than sheet or cast metal alternatives, allowing the look of metal to be applied in a way that supports more flexible design outcomes. Once applied, the surface is refined to achieve different expressions - polished, textured or gently patinated - before being sealed for durability and long-term protection. Applied to APL Plasma entrance doors, these finishes introduce a sophisticated material layer to an already clean-lined, architectural door form. Together, APL and Elemental Finishes offer an entrance door solution that balances performance with an architecturally refined statement.

ELEMENTAL FINISHES
How to choose your finish With an extensive range of tones, textures and treatments on offer, choosing an Elemental Finish for your entrance should consider two things; material and texture.
Material Elemental Finishes offer two distinct collections; Signature and Contemporary, each built around its own selection of metal bases, giving a wide variety of colour options to choose from. The Signature Collection includes popular traditional metal bases - Aluminium, Brass, Bronze, Copper and Iron offering a timeless finish inspired by classic craftsmanship and traditional design. Refer to page 6. The Contemporary Collection presents a modern, versatile palette of liquid metal finishes - Champagne Gold, Pewter Bronze, Pewter Rose, Pewter and Smokey Bronze - blended to complement the materials and tones used in contemporary New Zealand architecture and interior design. Texture Each material has its own distinct look and feel, and can be brought to life with a texture. Six textured finishes Forged, Foundry, Linear, Rust, Verdigris and Aerugo are available across select metal options. Textured finishes introduce a more tactile entrance, for people who want their door to feel as distinctive as it looks. Rather than a flat surface, these sculpted profiles catch the light differently, revealing subtle shifts in tone and shadow as you move past. Each finish contains real metal content, so it reflects the genuine depth and character of its underlying material rather than a printed effect.

Aluminium Aluminium offers cooler metallic tones that pair effortlessly with a wide range of materials, from concrete and glass through to timber and stone, allowing it to sit quietly or take a more defined role depending on the palette.
